  • Breaking News: MOAB dropped near Afghan-Paki border

    This just in:

US has dropped an 11-ton MOAB on a cave complex near the Afghan-Paki border.  The story so far is at the link.

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/04/13/us-drops-largest-non-nuclear-bomb-in-afghanistan-after-green-beret-killed.html

This comes from the mid-day news. There is more news coming. And loud noises will probably be heard at microphones. It should make the Norks nervous, too.   Stay tuned!

I thought it was too quiet….

  • US Launches Tomahawks into Syria

US has launched at least 43 Tomahawk missiles into Syria, targeting the area where the sarin nerve agent is being stored.

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/04/06/us-launches-missiles-into-syria-in-response-to-chemical-weapons-attack.html

Pres. Trump gave the order at his house in Mar-a-Lago in Florida, in the company of Pres. Xi Qinping, who is there to work on a solution to the problem with Kim Jong-un.

    More to come tomorrow.

  • News from Afar

First thing is this video from the BBC News service, of the use of human shields by IS.  The sound is not good, but it’s radio communication which can be blurred.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-39475588

The second bit of news, which I got from Nicki and relayed to Jonn, is that there was a bomb explosion on a commuter train between two commuter stations in St. Petersburg. So far the report is 10 people killed, and another explosive was found at another train station.  Medvedev is describing it as a terrorist attack.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39481770

It’s easy enough to point fingers, but I won’t speculate about who did it.  If it’s Vlad Putin behind it, what purpose is there but to increase support for his efforts in Syria? And considering that a few weeks ago, his loudest critic was shot in the back four times while crossing a bridge near the Kremlin, I’m not sure it makes sense to blame him.  At the same time, he sold 50% of the drilling rights for the Rosneft oil platform to Qatar and Swiss-based Glencore a couple of months ago, which doesn’t seem very smart unless he needs money to fund his war in Syria and maybe returning to Central Asia. This is why I won’t speculate, just report what happened.  There should be more on the news tonight, and Nicki has an article on it at her blog.

  • Linwood Kaine arrested

    Linwood Kaine arrested

    Tim Kaine’s son, Linwood, yes, Linwood, was arrested in Minneapolis for taking part in an attempt to disrupt a pro-Trump rally, according to Fox News. You might remember that Tim Kaine was Hillary Clinton’s running mate in her failed attempt to be our president. So Linwood’s actions might have been personal;

Linders said Kaine was seen with four people who lit fireworks in the capitol and fled. Police were investigating whether Kaine lit a firework, the newspaper reported.

Linders said Kaine and the group were arrested a block from the capitol. He said police tracked Kaine and the group down and arresting officers had to use “some force” to take him into custody.

I wonder why fireworks were the chosen medium here. Because it sounds like gunfire?

Sen. Kaine, from St. Paul, released a statement to the Pioneer Press Tuesday night.

“We love that our three children have their own views and concerns about current political issues,” he said. “They fully understand the responsibility to express those concerns peacefully.”

Well, I’m glad that Linwood isn’t anywhere near the White House with that kind of upbringing.

Thanks to Mick for the link.

  • More News from Norkiland…

… and I guess we’d better take Fatty Kim da T’ird (aka ND: tBF) seriously.  Per this article from BBC News, the Norks have launched four (4) ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan on Sunday evening at 22:36GMT, or whatever your time zone is.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-39175704

No, this is not a good thing.  They were launched from Tongchang-ri near the northern Nork border and went about 1,000 KM (620 miles) before dropping into the ocean. There’s a map with the article, and I will update this if there is anything new on Monday.  He seems to be improving his missile systems exponentially.

It’s obvious Fatty Kim da T’ird wants to be the Big Cheese in the koi pond, but he’s making his neighbors to the South quite nervous, never mind what he’s doing to the Japanese who are certainly not his enemy.  Someone needs to sew his ass shut, in my opinion.

His dad must be so proud.

  • Anthony Gambino Pleads Guilty to Stolen Valor Charge

Anthony Gambino Pleads Guilty to Stolen Valor Charge

Jonn sends us a reminder why we do not take cases down.    Jonn last posted about this clown HERE.  Gambino had started a “Security” company and liked to make videos and publish pictures of himself with lots of scary black guns.

That is a particularly stupid thing to do when you are a convicted felon and still wanted on other charges.

Gambino — formerly known as Anthony Lee Martinez — was charged on May 12 in federal court on the firearms charge and with violating the Stolen Valor Act of 2013 by falsely claiming a decoration or medal to obtain money, property or other tangible benefits, according to the criminal complaint.

When Jonn originally posted about Gambino last year, he showed up in the comment section of that post running his mouth.  Some guy that posts around here regularly told him to piss off.

He did manage to followup with this letter:

This is a letter to inform you that I will be obtaining your information and sueing for Libel. We have already took pictures of your artical ,comments, etc. One must reseach things before printing damaging and false information. KRQE is in the same situation. Gambino Security Corporation was not a fraud and media cost millions of damage. Thank you for your time and i hope in your future your organization is more careful as libel is a crime. Sincerely, Anthony Gambino

Gambino’s lawyer babbled on about this all being some kind of misunderstanding.  He claimed that all of this was a result of the Governments right hand not talking to its left hand.  We had no idea what that meant then and still don’t now.  What we did know was that Gambino got thrown out of the Marine Corps because of a fraudulent enlistment and he had made claims of military awards that he was using to promote himself and his business.

An article published yesterday by the Daily Times reports that Gambino pleaded guilty to charges of violating the Stolen Valor Act.  I guess he figured the long arm of justice would prevail.  Just a friendly reminder to all the Sock Puppets, Raving Loons and Babbling Barristers why we do not take down cases.

There is another great article concerning Gambino and his antics over at The Burn Pit.  A well written celebration of  our Bambino being held accountable.  It is also evidence that not everyone who studies jurisprudence becomes a Babbling Barrister.

  • This one just pisses me off no end

Roger Curry, an Air Force veteran who worked as a nurse for Kaiser Permanente following his service with USAF, was found sitting at a bus station in Hereford, 150 miles north of London, England.

According to this story, he had no idea how he’d gotten there, as he is suffering from Alzheimer’s.

In Japan, they call it ‘granny-dumping’.

  • To help you keep up with things….

Resistance is futile!!!  It seems that the controversy over Pres. Trump’s (get used to that)  immigration ban is having some side effects.

A few days ago, Iraq said they’d retaliate for it, but they now appear to have changed their minds.  http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-immigration-iraq-idUSKBN15F238

They just happened to remember that they still need our help on stuff like ISIS/Daesh, and we do, after all, have 5,000+ people over there helping them out, don’t we?  Yeah… we do.

However, Sally Yates has been fired for refusing to enforce Pres. Trump’s EO.  She was the previous administration’s lawyer.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-immigration-idUSKBN15E1DE

Meanwhile, jihadists are giggling and snorting, telling us: “Your decision will do nothing. Attacks will come at you from inside America, from Americans born in America with American parents and grandparents,” posted by one Islamic State supporter on Telegram, an encrypted messaging app.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-immigration-islamists-idUSKBN15E0MI?mod=related&channelName=politicsNews

And finally, because there are growing concerns in Europe, there is now an Austrian ban on the full face veil.  There’s  a link in the BBC article to Mrs. Merkel’s statement banning the same thing in Germany.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-38808495

What was that Chinese curse? Oh, yeah: May you live in interesting times.  Well, one financial forecaster has said he is expecting some shocks of all sorts, political, financial and geophysical (quakes or eruptions)  this year.

Keep your eyes open and your ears on ‘High Alert’.
