  • Doctors Without Borders making a run for the border.

    Well any border that takes them out of Somalia. It seems that the violence there has reached a point that they cannot operate due to the violence directed at them. It seems that according to the group that it is not just a few random attacks that are a issue but the environment that promotes theses attacks.

    It (Doctors Without Borders) said civilian leaders tolerate or “condone the killing, assaulting and abducting ” of aid workers.

    “The same actors with whom MSF must negotiate minimum guarantees to respect its medical humanitarian mission have in some cases played a role in the abuses against MSF staff, either through direct involvement or tacit approval, particularly but not exclusively in south-central Somalia,” it said.

    So this will course have a very negative effects for war torn places like Somalia and any area that is next to it. It is a sober reminder that noble ideals often falter in the face of harsh realities.

    But were is the stupid you ask? That is coming up next. While I do think that the risks that they do take is crazy I can at least sympathies with wanting to go out and try to bring relief to troubled areas. I mean I can relate to throwing caution and reason into the wind if it means helping someone.

    I thought that about a similar group called. “Our Journey to Smiles“. In the past few years they have gone down the path from naive idealism to shameless political talking points. Even when the reality of what type of violence awaits them after we leave they are still continue on with the absurdity.

    Which comes down to this video from them dreaming about “A world without borders” . Some noticeable points in the video.

    I feel that I need to do everything I can to stop climate change & to stop the environmental damage in general. We need to transform society so that it’s actually sustainable.

    With everything that is going on right now in Afghanistan, your worried about climate change? Tell me those are really “your” words there.

    Jesse Ventura’s lawsuit against “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle — purportedly the deadliest-ever American servicemen — can proceed with the war hero’s widow as a substitute defendant, a judge has ruled.

    U.S. Magistrate Judge Arthur Boylan reportedly wrote in his decision concerning Ventura’s defamation suit, “(if) a party dies and the claim is not extinguished, the court may order substitution of the proper party.”

  • The big attack on TAH (Updated)

    So many of you noticed last weekend that we were told we only had a few days left on the internet because the Ship of Fools had this big plan to get us kicked off the internet. I’m sure some of you are wondering what the big plot was. Well here’s the .pdf of the letter that Wickre’s real estate lawyer sent to our hosting service last Thursday; RACKSPACE_DEMAND_20130711163847.

    Actually, it was a huge laugh – 14 pages of misinformation charging us with everything from violating the terms of service to bestiality. None of it was true. The lawyer charged that we were posting social security numbers of his client on the blog – the only social security numbers that were ever posted were mine & TSO’s by his client. here’s a sample of this lawyer’s idiocy;

    First of all, we’ve been on the internet as This Ain’t Hell for nearly seven years. Secondly, doesn’t that analysis of the Supreme Court decision sound like it was written by Wittgenfeld and Sharkey? I’m sure they had their input since they’re part of the cabal arrayed against us. Kind of like an assemblage of our dumbest valor thieves.

    I like how Mr. Riffkin, Esquire, drags out the scary armed veteran thing. And I wonder how he knows that 60% of us are combat veterans and 85% were polled as gun owners. I never asked you guy how many of you own guns, and I’m sure Mr. Riffkin didn’t either.

    Um, no we’ve never received any “cease & desist” letter from any lawyer. They said it was because they couldn’t find me. Ya know, even though there’s a big arrow to my house on Google Earth. But the funniest part of the whole letter is the the part where they don’t want the hosting company to copy my lawyer (TSO), probably out of fear that they’ll be treated like he treats most buffoons.

    But, the upshot is that I removed the addresses, phone numbers, the (our) social security numbers, and we’re cool with the hosting company now. That’s probably why one of the Wickre trolls posted more addresses and phone numbers on the blog the other night to get us in trouble again. Because you’ll notice that most of the complaints about us in that letter are actually things that they did to us.

    So Wickre emailed last night that he’s calling a truce – probably because he learned that we function within the law here and that we’re untouchable. In the meantime, Wittgenfeld thinks he’s actually won something, because he’s doing the happy dance in his tiny, lonely corner of the internet unaware that yet another strike on us has failed miserably. The last message I got from our host was;

    Hello,

    Thanks for your response and permission to send the response. We will send this to the complainant and let them know that we consider the matter closed at this time. If we receive any other information that we need to send to you we will open a ticket for your review and assistance.

    According to WTTG, Fox5DC, the Park Police and Herndon, VA police served a search warrant at Adam Kokesh’s residence last night;

    FOX 5 has confirmed that U.S. Park Police along with Herndon Police are serving a search warrant at the home of Adam Kokesh, a pro-gun activist who was seen on a YouTube video posted on July 4th loading a shotgun in Freedom Plaza.

    Roads have been blocked off in the area of the 1500 block of Snow Flake Court in Herndon and residents have been told to stay indoors while police serve the warrant.

    D.C. Police Chief Lanier told us on July 4th, “You’re allowed to have a rifle [or] shotgun registered for your home, if you’re a D.C. resident and it’s registered for the protection of your home. You can transport it through the District of Columbia as well. But there are rules for that transport. What [Kokesh] did [Thursday] morning, if in fact that was a real firearm [with] real ammunition, would be a violation of the law.”

    DC’s NBC4 is reporting that Kokesh was arrested last night and that he’s cooling his heels in jail;

    A gun rights activist who loaded a shotgun in downtown D.C. was arrested in fairfax County.

    The home of Adam Kokesh was searched by police late Tuesday evening.

    Fairfax County police say Kokesh is being held at the Fairfax County Detention Center. There’s no word on what charges he faces.

    According to their broadcast news show, Kokesh was arrested on drug charges as well as gun charges. This is my surprised face.

    Not supporting Kokesh or anything, but I wonder if anyone searched David Gregory’s residence after he broke DC gun laws.
