Mexican News Outlet: 14,000 Honduran Migrants Heading to U.S.

I have no idea what the purpose in all these people marching toward the U.S. is all about.  Maybe it has something to do with them not wanting to live in a “shit hole”.

The Mexican El Universal news outlet is reporting that more than 14,000 Hondurans — not counting people from other countries who are marching toward the United States — are leaving that Central American nation to seek asylum here.

“That is an assault on our country,” Trump said during a rally with supporters in Houston, Texas on Monday.

The government of Mexico would not be helping to organize this nonsense, would they?

  • The NPC Meme-A Midweek Open Thread

If you’ve played video games before, you’ve seen these characters.

You visit a town in the game. The townsfolk are going about their lives. You approach one and a conversation starts. Perhaps you’re curious about what you could purchase. Maybe you want to know where the next point of interest is.

You walk away, then come back. The character says something different. Keep doing this and the character runs out of script. Eventually, it says the same things over and over again… As long as you keep striking a conversation with it.

This is the Non-Player Character, or the “NPC”. No player controls these characters, they follow a gaming programming that’s dependent on what your character does.

Of course, we’ve dealt with characters like this outside of video games. People that appear to go by the same playbook as the previous people.

We’ve seen one phony after another come here. They end up saying the same thing, playing the same tricks, or otherwise saying and doing the same thing that the previous phonies did.

Enter the NPC MEME. Based on similar memes used to mock many on the left in this country.

I laughed my hind end off when I first came across these memes, as they did an excellent job describing the liberals that I’ve argued against. Google “NPC memes” for more laughter.

Other than that, knock yourselves silly on this thread.

A Congregation of Bigoted Cretins Endorsed by the Pentagon – Says Mikey Weinstein

Mikey “The Jew-ish Hate Mongerer” Weinstein is up to his fundraising again.  Again he conjures up Holocaust references and likes to paint anyone who exposes him for what he really is as Antisemitic.   I am one of the first people that sounds the alarm about religious zealots.  Frank Gaffney is one of these guys that defines what most call the Alt-Right.  He is not my cup of tea.  He has a long history of publishing conspiracy theories and tin foil religious dogma.   Mikey rants his Hate-ish blabber to draw a crowd like a snake oil salesman.

Mickey Weinstein: Four active duty lieutenant generals (three-star generals) were present at this gathering of lunatic bigots, gleefully serving up a dangerous endorsement of Gaffney’s hateful Islamophobic ideology.

What makes this assemblage of racist haters so particularly heinous? Well, how about this; four active duty lieutenant generals (three-star generals) were present at this gathering of lunatic bigots, gleefully serving up a dangerous endorsement of Gaffney’s hateful Islamophobic ideology, in stark contrast with the strict mandates of equal opportunityand nondiscrimination that the armed services are sworn to uphold. As noted in the Intercept, “In 2015, Gaffney had prominent white nationalist Jared Taylor on his radio show, ‘Secure Freedom Radio.’ Gaffney praised Taylor’s website, American Renaissance, as “wonderful.” White supremacist Jared Taylor, one may recall, was a fellow-traveler with the torch-wielding Neo-Nazi group that murdered Heather Heyer in Charlottesville last year, and was subsequently praised by the coward Donald Trump as “very fine people”.  Turns out Trump and his minions and sycophants haven’t given up the scapegoating of American Muslims in the armed services to promote their own hideous white supremacist, fundamentalist Christian agenda.

This kind of nonsense being spewed by a man that believes he was born with superior genetics that grants him access to the hereafter where the best the rest of us can hope for is an opportunity to serve him and his ilk is the very definition of ironic.  Mikey has several minions who troll our site looking for anything that could be used to gain them some attention.  After years and years of correcting people about Mikey not being an Atheist, I decided to point out the fact that he is a Jew in a profound manner.  I believe he has downplayed his religious affiliations to get donations from many in the Atheist community.  People like Frank Gaffney make it easy for Mikey to peddle his perpetual victim status as a Jew.

As I have stated before, if people think President Trump has strange ideas…wait until they find out what Pence thinks.

Not only are these Lieutenant Generals failing to uphold their own sacred, sworn oaths; but, they are actively participating in the ignominious perversion, subversion, and destruction of the same. These Lt. Generals, and all who supported their participation in this charade of shame hosted by Gaffney, MUST be visibly and expeditiously punished. Their projection is merely the smokescreen for Gaffney and his lackeys to justify their long-running atrocities; their silence on genuine concerns for human rights is deafening. Theirs is not a nuanced and substantive criticism of Jihad or Wahhabism – it’s an ugly, broad-brush, and insipidly petulant whine for racial “purity” for its own sake. Why? Because, tragically, these Lt. Generals clearly do not fundamentally disagree with the tactics of these extremist perversions of Gaffney and his repellant ilk of Islamophobes. Indeed, their highly visible and official participation in his we hate all Muslims orgy abomination of just forty-eight hours ago reeks of full Pentagon endorsement and delight to provide universal succor and assistance to such filth.

Gaffney aligns himself with the likes of the Thomas Moore Law Center that has supported nonsense like forcing Creationism into public school science classes.  I supported and helped fund the  Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District case where we humiliated and exposed them as religious zealots.  Mikey takes these kinds of issues and dips them in hysterical liberal-ish propaganda and sells it to the gullible.

I disagree with Gaffney on many levels, but I think we would both agree that Islam is a disease of the mind.  Gaffney and Weinstein do not seem to realize they too suffer from the same type of disease.  If you are American and do not have a healthy skepticism of Islam, you are naive.  If you fall for the hysterical rants of Mikey Weinstein then you are just gullible.  Members of the military should have the right to religious freedom regardless of their rank.

  • Daniel Wall still at it.

    Daniel Wall still at it.

We posted about Daniel Wall HERE.    The folks over at militaryphony.com posted about him HERE.  For anyone new to our site, these fake and embellishing clowns will not stop feeding on the sacrifice of honorable men and women if we turn our back for a second.  His recently posted picture sure looks patriotic.

Daniel John Wall has been confined to his bed for the last 15-20 years due to his weight.  He is estimated to be over 900 pounds. He has to have nurses care for him.

He makes crazy claims about being trapped in the bombing as a Marine Lt.  We have no idea what “truth” he is talking about.  Maybe Gattoni, Lawton, Gaggnon, Priest and many many others can clue us in about what happened in Beirut.

Sadly, many of these Valor Vultures come out of hiding every year during the Beirut Remembrance.   Most of them try to shake a tin cup for money and or sympathy.   There was only one Marine from Berlin, NH in Beirut.  I served with him during Beirut.  Daniel Wall is NOT that man.

  • Why today’s troops fear a new war is coming soon

Why today’s troops fear a new war is coming soon

Nearly half of all current military troops believe the United States will be drawn into a major war soon, a jarring rise in anxiety among service members worried about global instability in general and Russia and China in particular, according to a new Military Times poll of active-duty troops.

About 46 percent of troops who responded to the anonymous survey of currently serving Military Times readers said they believe the U.S. will be drawn into a new war within the next year. That’s a jarring increase from only about 5 percent who said the same thing in a similar poll conducted in September 2017.

Another 50 percent think the country will not end up in a major conflict during the next year. But that number is falling, down from more than two-thirds of those surveyed last fall who said a war was unlikely.

The fears of war come as President Donald Trump in the last year has repeatedly emphasized improving military readiness in the face of growing threats from foreign adversaries, both loosely affiliated terrorist groups and traditional major power rivals. At the same time, top Pentagon officials have spoken publicly about the need to prepare for a conflict against a “near-peer” adversary.

When asked about specific countries, troops said Russia and China were among their top concerns. The poll showed a big increase in the number of troops who identify those two countries as significant or major threats: About 71 percent of troops said Russia was a significant threat, up 18 points from last year’s survey. And 69 percent of troops said China poses a significant threat, up 24 points from last year.

According to their study, the Air Force supports the President the least and the Marine Corps supports the President the most.  How shocking is that?  I doubt their study actually reflects what most “Troops” think but the data is interesting to play with.

  • Rosie O’Donnell wants military to ‘get’ Trump from White House | Fox News

Rosie O’Donnell wants military to ‘get’ Trump from White House | Fox News

Rosie O’Donnell, a notorious critic of President Trump, said Thursday she wants U.S. armed forces to remove him from the White House.

“I want to send the military to the White House to get him,” O’Donnell said on MSNBC, as host Nicolle Wallace discussed Trump’s threats to have the military “close” the U.S.-Mexico border amid reports a massive migrant caravan is en route to the area.

The former talk show host also reflected on a previous suggestion to impose martial lawto delay President Trump’s inauguration.

“When he was elected what I wrote on Twitter was we should impose martial law until we make sure the Russians weren’t involved in the final tallies of the vote,” she said. “People were like, ‘Martial law? What’s wrong with you? You’re a lunatic.’”

For years, O’Donnell and Trump have partaken in a bitter, back-and-forth feud.

She said Thursday that the night he won the presidency, she “got physically sick.”

“It took me a good year to compose myself to be in public again,” she said. “I took a year out of the spotlight.”

I am happy she has managed to compose herself.  Most of these “has been” celebrities types do not seem to realize that people could care less what they think.

  • Trump could be the most honest president in modern history – The Washington Post

Trump could be the most honest president in modern history – The Washington Post

The Washington Post has gone off the rails.  Just when I thought small fractions of truth were meaningless…

He may stretch the truth, but he gets things done.

Trump kept his promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, something his three immediate predecessors also promised yet failed to do. He promised to “crush and destroy ISIS,” and two years later he is on the verge of eliminating the Islamic State’s physical caliphate. He promised to impose a travel ban on countries that he saw as posing a terrorist threat, and after several false starts the final version of his ban was upheld by the Supreme Court. He promised to punish Syria if it used chemical weapons on its people, and, unlike his immediate predecessor, he followed through — not once but twice.

Trump pledged to nominate Supreme Court justices “in the mold of Justice [Antonin] Scalia,” and now Neil M. Gorsuch and Brett M. Kavanaugh sit on the high court. Trump also pledged to fill the federal appellate courts with young, conservative judges, and so far the Senate has confirmed 29 — more than any recent president at this point in his administration.

Trump vowed to pass historic tax reforms and signed the first major overhaul of the tax code in three decades. He vowed an unprecedented regulatory rollback, with a strict policy to eliminate two existing regulations for every new regulation. In his first year, he achieved $8.1 billion in lifetime regulatory savings and is on track to achieve an additional $9.8 billion this year.

During the campaign, he told African American voters, “What do you have to lose? .?.?. I will straighten it out. I’ll bring jobs back. We’ll bring spirit back.” On his watch, African American unemployment reached the lowest level ever recorded, and his tax reform included a little-noticed provision creating “Opportunity Zones” to try to revitalize struggling towns and inner-city communities.

Trump promised to cancel President Barack Obama’s Clean Power Planwithdraw from the Paris climate accord, approve the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, and open the Arctic National Wildlife Refugeto oil exploration. He fulfilled all of those pledges.

On trade, he kept his promise to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and impose tariffs on steel and aluminum. He also committed to renegotiating NAFTA and the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement — and recently signed new deals with Mexico, Canada and South Korea. He committed to imposing tariffs on China to force it to open its markets and stop its theft of intellectual property — and is following through on that pledge. Whatever one thinks of Trump’s trade policies, he is doing exactly what he said.

The president pledged historic increases in defense spending, and delivered. He pledged to bring back manufacturing jobs, and manufacturing jobs are growing at the fastest pace in more than two decades. He pledged to sign “Right to Try” legislation to give dying Americans access to experimental treatments, and did. He pledged to take on the opioid epidemic and will soon sign a sweeping bipartisan opioids package into law.

Where Trump has failed to keep promises, such as building the wall or repealing Obamacare, it has not been for a lack of trying. Only in a few rare instances has he backtracked on a campaign pledge — such as when he admitted that he was wrong to promise a complete withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan and reversed course. I’m glad he did.

But whether one agrees or disagrees is not the point. When Trump says he will do something, you can take it to the bank. Yes, he takes liberties with the truth. But unlike his predecessor, he did not pass his signature legislative achievement on the basis of a lie (“If you like your health care plan, you can keep it ”) — which is clearly worse than falsely bragging that your tax cut is the biggest ever.

The fact is, in his first two years, Trump has compiled a remarkable record of presidential promise – keeping. He’d probably say it’s the best in history — which may or may not end up being true. It’s too soon to tell.

  • ‘Mr. Secretary, are you a Democrat?’

Mattis responds to Trump’s comment that the Defense Secretary is ‘sort of a Democrat.

For the first time since he was appointed by President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis was asked by reporters directly: “Are you a Democrat?”

It’s not a question that crossed the minds of most reporters during Mattis’ early tenure. The former top Middle East general could be bellicose in the field; Trump had clear affection for that “Mad Dog” image in his rallies; Trump said Mattis was “a true generals’ general.” However Mattis had never identified himself as a Republican, nor as a Democrat.

But in the past few weeks, the former four-star commander who saw his tenure as the head of U.S. Central Command cut short during Democrat President Barack Obama’s presidency over disagreements on his Iran policy was now facing regular questions over whether his time in Trump’s Republican cabinet would be similarly short-lived, particularly after Trump told “60 Minutes” on Sunday he thought his defense secretary may be “sort of a Democrat.”

Mattis: “You know, we’re all built on our formative experiences. When I was 18, I joined the Marine Corps, and in the U.S. military we are proudly apolitical. By that, I mean that in our duties, we were brought up to obey the elected commander in chief, whoever that is. And we’ve seen, over those — since I was in the military longer than some of you have been alive, I have seen Republicans and Democrats come and go. Where am I today? I’m a member of the president’s administration. And you have seen that President Trump’s military policies, security policies, reaping significant bipartisan support. So my role, when you see 83 percent — think about this — for ? and I realize you all write about tension between this person and that, this administration and that party, and this sort of thing.”

Mattis continued: “But when you think 83 percent of the U.S. Congress voting the same way on an issue put forward by the Republican president, you can see that my portfolio is bipartisan by its very basis, and that is the protection of the United States. That’s what President Trump has told me to do, and I eagerly carry that out, alongside probably the most selfless young men and women — not all young; some old men and women, too — civilian and military, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines working together. So that’s where I stand. That defines me.”

Q: I don’t want to put too fine a point on it, but you haven’t registered Republican or Democrat. Is that what I’m hearing you say?

Mattis: I’ve never registered for any political party.

He is neither Democrat or Republican…what will they do now?
