  • Ditz disses Perry

    Y’all probably remember this video I posted a few weeks ago of Katy Perry’s “Part of Me”;

    Well, according to the Military Times, Naomi Wolf didn’t like it calling the video “shameful” and accusing Perry of being a paid shill for the Marines.

    Naomi Wolf, you may remember will go down in history as the chick who made Al Gore wear earth tone suits to help him win his election in 2000. Y’all remember President Al Gore, right? The color of his suits were his only problem.

    Now, I always thought that Naomi Wolf was totally do-able, but, inevitably, she’d have to start talking which would kill the mood. But, anyway, the video doesn’t show anything from war, it only shows training, but that doesn’t stop Wolf from claiming that the video glorifies and “prettifies” violence;

    Like Matthis, she knows all about war because she talked to people who had been in war. I’m sure that gives her some sort moral authority in her mind, but, she might as well said that her neighbor’s cousin’s father had been in war, so she knows what she’s talking about. And I’m sure she thinks that she caught the PTSD from her interviewees.

    Personally, I thought the video would scare away people who thought that military service is all glory and parades. If you’ve seen the video, you know it shows all of the tough stuff about training and none of the glory. There is nothing glorious or pretty about log PT on the beach.

    In my humble and carefully considered opinion, Wolf is just joining in the chorus of voices from the Left who never really supported the troops, they only mouthed the necessary words that were socially approved, probably by some central committee in charge of Liberal talking points. Now, that the wars are winding down, those same pretend Americans feel that it’s relatively safe to push back against anything that portrays the troops and military service in a positive light.

    Wolf says that we should boycott Perry, so I immediately went to Amazon and downloaded Perry’s album. What? That’s not what boycott means?

  • Don’t let the door hit you

    Old Trooper sends a link to the bizarre news that hippies are assembling on a mountain in the Pyrenees where they expect to be taken aboard the alien space craft that will carry them away from the destruction which will be wrought upon the rest of us on December 21st;

    A rapidly increasing stream of New Age believers – or esoterics, as locals call them – have descended in their camper van-loads on the usually picturesque and tranquil Pyrenean village of Bugarach. They believe that when apocalypse strikes on 21 December this year, the aliens waiting in their spacecraft inside Pic de Bugarach will save all the humans near by and beam them off to the next age.

    It makes complete sense to me. Several hundred years, a now extinct culture which didn’t foresee it’s own demise, leaves a calender that ends, somehow, on December 21st this year, even though they didn’t use the same calender we use. And the aliens are coming to rescue those of us with the foresight to go to a mountain that the Mayans didn’t even know existed, on a continent they didn’t know existed.

    The only problem I have is that not enough of the filthy beasts are going to France to await their demise in the form of hippie-cicles.

    …American travel agents have been offering special, one-way deals to witness the end of the world…

    Hey, I’ll contribute to that fund. Let France deal with the creatures – they’re already familiar with the poor hygiene habits.

  • Facebook rage

    No, I’m not talking about the conversion to the new “timeline format”, I’m talking about the simplistic underachievers on the internet who think that signing a petition will get justice for Amina Filali, a 16-year-old in Morrocco who killed herself because she was forced to marry her rapist, so that rapist could avoid jail time. The Huffington Post living up to it’s reputation as a useless piece of shit has jumped on the latest expression of rage, a petition on Facebook;

    An online petition, a Facebook page and countless tweets expressed horror over the suicide of Amina Filali, who swallowed rat poison on Saturday to protest her marriage to the man who raped her a year earlier.

    Article 475 of the Moroccan penal code allows for the “kidnapper” of a minor to marry his victim to escape prosecution, and it has been used to justify a traditional practice of making a rapist marry his victim to preserve the honor of the woman’s family.

    Oh, my God – countless tweets. That ought to show those evil Moroccans what’s in store for them. Imagine their embarrassment when (if) they ever discover the Facebook page. That is if there are any Moroccans on the internet. It’s no wonder that those peckerhead hippies think they can change the US government by polluting town squares with their presence. F**king ignorant-ass hippies just want to “feel” like they’re doing something, while doing nothing is just as easy and effective, and less annoying.

    Maybe they could buy the Moroccans each a Coke and that would convince them to change their laws.

  • Coming to NYC “An Army of Rape: Why Supporting the Troops is Wrong! “

    I went over to the facebook page that was in this post. There is one comment that I could not pass up.

    Looking at the names involved that this conference this is going to be a real meeting of the minds. We have Sunsara Taylor, Carl Dix and Mathis. I find it funny that people are still refer him as a member of IVAW. Not to mention the direct statement that Carl Dix is a Communist.

    I tried to look for anything on the net but nothing so far. But considering that anything Mathis does is kept quiet for fear of use ruining it with his past.

  • Jane Fonda: Limbaugh is offensive

    Fonda at gun

    Jane Fonda, pictured above during a vacation in North Vietnam a few years back, takes to the internet to pretend that she cares about the troops and the the fact that Rush Limbaugh’s program is on the Armed Forces Network;

    [Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan, and Gloria Steinem] state, “Our entire military depends on troops respecting each other — women and men. There simply can be no place on military airwaves for sentiments that would undermine that respect.”

    From POW Network;

    In a speech to Duke University students in 1970, Fonda told the gathering, “If you understood what Communism was, you would hope and
    pray on your knees that we would someday become Communist.”

    After her trip to Hanoi: …..Fonda told the world press that U.S. prisoners of war were being well treated and not tortured. Her outrageous claims were later exposed when American POWs were finally freed and told of years of agonizing tortures and inhuman treatment. Fonda responded, not with an apology, but with an accusation calling our returned POWs “liars and hypocrites.”

    But, yeah, Limbaugh on AFN is dangerous to our troops’ morale.

    But the real snot blower in Fonda’s little rant is this;

    This isn’t political. While we disagree with Limbaugh’s politics, what’s at stake is the fallout of a society tolerating toxic, hate-inciting speech.

    Yeah, it’s not the politics, even though they’re not calling for the same reaction to Ed Schultz or Bill Maher for using the same word, but talking about Republican women.

  • Car parking is not free speech either

    Jason sends us a link from the Idaho Statesman which tells the story of an Air Force veteran who decided to test the judicial decision from last month which declared that Occupy Boise’s tents were free speech.

    Ike Sweesy parked his Corvette near the Occupy encampment to see if he’d get the benefit of the court decision. The police, apparently disagreed;

    “Part of our American heritage means that freedom can cost you,” said Sweesy [in regards to his $125 towing fee levy]. “We are making a statement: … A tent is not a statement of protest.”

    Sweesy, who’s retired from the Air Force, got the idea when he heard Nampa resident Ronalee Linsenmann on a radio show talking about why she’d pulled her bumper-sticker-covered Geo Metro onto the grass near the Occupy Boise tents.

    He’s right, though. his car is no more free speech than the filthy hippies’ tents. I hope the judge feels ashamed if only for a minute.

  • More Occupy thuggery

    Tman sends us a link from SFGate that tells of the arrests of three Occupy protesters who were arrested yesterday for robbing and beating a woman in Oakland;

    Oakland police said the woman was walking in the 4000 block of Piedmont Avenue around 6 p.m. last Wednesday when she heard a small group of Occupy Oakland protesters “calling for a riot.”

    “The victim, who has been a resident of the area for over 20 years, suggested to the protesters not to riot in her neighborhood,” police said in a written statement. “She was surrounded by three protesters and battered as they yelled vulgar epithets regarding their perception of her sexual orientation.”

    The victim eventually broke away from the group and called police, according to the statement. Her wallet was taken during the confrontation.

    So it began with the woman wanting to protect her neighborhood, but ended with some filthy hippie punks taking her wallet. Way to convince us of your intellectual worth.

  • Tea Partiers burn down CO town hall

    You really didn’t think it was a tea party member did you?

    Kyle Lawrence, a Colorado Springs Occupier, remains in a Denver Hospital burn unit with second degree burns that he received when he was caught on fire during the arson that leveled the Historic Green Mountain Falls Town Hall.

    Former Occupy Spokesperson, Jason Warf says he was shocked after learning that Kyle Lawrence is being linked to the Green Mountain Falls arson. He said, ” Kyle seemed like a good guy. He was frustrated with everything going on in the world. I just never in a million years, imagined him doing anything like this.”

    But you can be sure that him and the rest of his crew aren’t representative of the Occupy movement, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. ANd who pours gasoline in an enclosed area thinking it won’t ignite and burn their stupid asses?

    Once they got away from the building, they went back to Shaffer’s house where a Police Standoff ensued.

    The police should have put them out of their stupidity.

    Thanks for ROS for the link.
