  • DC cops raid Occupy campsite

    The Washington Post reports that the US Park Police have surrounded McPherson Square this morning and they’re checking the tents for sleeping gear;

    Police in riot gear and on horseback entered the McPherson Square encampment in Northwest D.C. this morning around 5:30 a.m. and began collecting pallets and other items from the campers.

    Helicopters hovered overhead and a firehose was rolled out by police as the protesters watched. Police have told the Occupiers that they they want them to clear area around the camp’s tarp-covered “Tent of Dreams.”

    You can watch it live at the Washington Post and wait for the taserings to begin, cuz, you know nothing good comes from waking up hippies at zero-dark-thirty.

  • DC residents tired of Occupy

    At least two residents of downtown DC decided to do what the cops can’t or won’t they decided to tear down the “Tent of Dreams” (actually an unsightly, filthy plastic tarp) that filthy hippies have stretched over the statue in the middle of McPherson Square on K Street in DC;

    Of course, he was led away by cops, but you’ll notice that they didn’t need to tase him or cuff to get him to come with them. I wonder why that is, he asked sarcastically. I guess it’s possible for some people in DC to make a clear statement without being an asshole and be willing to pay the consequences for his actions. The report says they’re not sure if he was charged with anything.

  • DC cops taze Occupy protester

    DC cops made preparations to end the hippie occupation of public spaces in the city today by posting warning notices. Some goober went around behind them and tore the notices down, so when they moved on him to arrest him, he resisted. One female officer drew out her tazer and tazed his fat, hippie ass. Here’s the video, but it comes with a STRONG LANGUAGE WARNING and HIPPIE BUTT CRACK WARNING;

    I’m sure the stench of his burning skin ran half of the rats out of McPherson Square. From the Washington Post;

    But the driver of a passing SUV shouted praise to police officers who were in a tense standoff with a group of demonstrators after the arrest.

    Robert Fields, who visited the square Sunday, also said it was time for the occupiers to go and criticized authorities for allowing the tents to remain so long.

    So now the protesters are discussing whether or not they’ll acquiesce to the police when they’re evicted. They ought to review the video several times before they arrive at a firm conclusion. I look forward to the videos of twitching and screaming hippies.

  • Classy Occupy Oakland burn flag in City Hall

    According to the Washington Times, 300 Occupy Oakland protesters were arrested yesterday after they took over City hall and managed to burn a n American flag to make no rational point whatsoever;

    Saturday’s protests — the most turbulent since Oakland police forcefully dismantled an Occupy encampment in November — came just days after the group said it planned to use a vacant building as a social center and political hub and threatened to try to shut down the port, occupy the airport and take over City Hall.

    An exasperated Mayor Jean Quan, who faced heavy criticism for the police action last fall, called on the Occupy movement to “stop using Oakland as its playground.”

    Here’s some video of the people who want to convince us that they’re just like the rest of us. You can see a still photo of the grown-ups burning a flag at about 3:35;

    Yeah, I’d be real proud to count myself in their 99%. A woman in the video says that police are being too heavy handed. I’d vehemently disagree. Not only are they not being forceful enough, the city’s prosecutors aren’t either. The only way to put an end to this is to make their antics too costly for the protesters to continue.

    An overnight in jail obviously isn’t influencing them, so throw away the key and give them an ass-whooping every morning for breakfast.

  • Soros predicts riots

    Our buddy, JammieWearingFool writes that in an interview, George Soros “gleefully” oredicts riots springing from the Fleabagger movement when it gets a little warmer, and their bravery swells a bit more;

    As anger rises, riots on the streets of American cities are inevitable. “Yes, yes, yes,” he says, almost gleefully. The response to the unrest could be more damaging than the violence itself. “It will be an excuse for cracking down and using strong-arm tactics to maintain law and order, which, carried to an extreme, could bring about a repressive political system, a society where individual liberty is much more constrained, which would be a break with the tradition of the United States.

    We can only hope. I’ve noticed that the gleeful Soros hasn’t summoned the courage to join his willing smelly minions in the streets.

    Meanwhile, someone sent me this flier in my email about the “Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign” which is planning already to occupy the Republican National Convention;

    The Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign and others will march on opening day of the Republican National Convention on AUGUST 27th, Monday from 3pm to 530pm.
    This is a March of the Homeless, the Poor, the Unemployed and Supporters to call for a STOP TO ALL FORECLOSURES, STOP THE CRIMINALIZATION OF THE POOR AND HOMELESS, HOUSING AND FOOD ARE HUMAN RIGHTS!!

    Yeah, no plans to march on the DNC? Last I checked, the Democrats control the White House and the Senate. I’m just sayin’…

  • Biting the hand that feeds you, two

    The other day I wrote that Occupy Wall Street protesters had stolen a laptop from the church which allowed them to sleep inside out of the New York weather. Despite the warning from Rev. Bob Brashear that they’d be out on the street if it happened again, i predicted that it would. And I was, of course, right. Says the New York Post;

    When the Rev. Bob Brashear prepared for Sunday services at West Park Presbyterian Church on West 86th Street, he noticed parts of the bronze baptismal font were gone.

    In a fire-and-brimstone message to occupiers later that day, he thundered, “It was like pissing on the 99 percent.”

    A rabbi complained that, at another church, OWS protesters urinated on a cross;

    In a letter last week to OWS obtained by The Post, the rabbi fumed, “The Park Slope church housing occupiers was desecrated when an occupier peed inside the building and the pee came into contact with a cross.”

    Classy bunch, ain’t they?

  • OWS protester throws smoke bomb at White House

    Of course, if this was a veteran who had thrown a couple of smoke bombs at the White House, this would be leading the news on every channel, but since it was only the OWS clowns, “feisty” is the only adjective they can summon at DC’s Fox5;

    Two smoke bombs were apparently thrown over the White House fence as an “Occupy” protest grew feisty Tuesday evening, FOX News Channel reported.

    Smoke Bomb Thrown Over White House Fence During Occupy Protest: MyFoxDC.com

    President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were not in the White House at the time of the alleged incident….

    Well, that’s a given. When are they ever in the White House?

  • Occupy hippies to protest at Capitol

    Yes, the unwashed masses still think they’re relevant and have something to contribute to the national conversation. Today they plan to protest at the Capitol says Associated Press;

    Participants say they plan to decry the influence of corporate money in politics and show the House of Representatives what real democracy looks like. The House reconvenes Tuesday after its winter recess.

    The protest comes as the nation’s capital has emerged as one of the strongest bastions of the Occupy movement, in part because the National Park Service has allowed protesters to maintain their encampments in two public squares near the White House.

    I’d like to decry the influence on politics that the unproductive mouths that we feed, house and then have to listen to while they whine that they’re not getting enough. And then on top of it all, we have to suffer under their choice of elected officials because they multiply like rats.
