  • When The Musics Over…

    The Gun Grabbing Fascists are now killing the music as well.

    Via Michelle Malkin et al

    US Fish and Wildlife officials have raided the famous Gibson Guitars. And the instrument-maker isn’t alone. Antique piano dealers are also in the crosshairs. Why? Because rare, beautiful instruments made of ecologically incorrect materials must be sacrificed at the green altar. Talk about hitting a sour note.

    I’m a semi-retired recording engineer with a certain reverence for Gibson guitars, hence this post. Akin to ‘the guv’mint’ deciding what firearms we can handle and how they are configured, etc; they have determined that foreign laws take precedence in manufacturing guitars. I’m just paranoid enough to wonder if the UN is behind this?

    From further down in the article:

    “The government’s position is, that is the law of the land in Madagascar and they are saying that is the law of the land in India. That is not the case. The fact is, we have affidavits from numerous government officials – and this court case, specifically now, is forMadagascar wood. We have affidavits from virtually every govt official saying that it is legal, that their definition of what is legal is a fingerboard blank and its been exported within every certification that is necessary. So they have the arrogance to interpret Madagascar law differently than the people of Madagascar.”

    Our firearms, our food, our livelihoods, and now our music? Picture a country music station being told that they must include Arabic music for the sake of diversity.

    A mental/logical leap into conspiracy land? Maybe, but I wish the hurdles were a bit higher than they seem to be on that particular track to bizzarro world.

    ETA: Seems there are some who see the simple acknowledgement of a visible pattern as hyperbole? I thought my closing sentence was clear, but perhaps not?

    While it has been said that ignorance of a law is no excuse for breaking it, we must also accept that trying to navigate a constantly shifting landscape is excruciatingly difficult.

    In the Gibson case it appears that they felt they were in compliance because THIS IS NOT THEIR FIRST EXPERIENCE in the matter cited. There are any number of similar cases in Second Amendment land as well.

    I lay no blame at the feet of those with boots on the ground. Been There, Done That!

  • Obama tried to start a war with aliens?

    Frankly Opinionated sent us this video from Russia TV from several months ago. Apparently, the Russians think it’s important that we know that President Obama has declared war on aliens.

    This is the network that has given Adam Kokesh his own show. there’s a lot more I could say about this video, but I’ll leave that for you guys. It’s low hanging fruit time.

  • Fireworks terrorist plotted to attack National Mall

    Glen Neff was captured by police while he plotted to launch fireworks to bring attention “to himself and issues he had with the banking industry” according to Fox News.

    An officer spotted a red jeep Cherokee stopped in an isolated area of the park after it was closed.

    The officer made contact with the driver, who was identified as 27-year-old Glenn Neff of Stuart, Fla., and found the vehicle to be loaded with fireworks. The Jeep had also been fitted with a turret and multiple PVC tubes from which fireworks could be shot out of.

    Not surprisingly;

    Officers also said they located drug paraphernalia and alcohol inside his vehicle.

    Katy Perry, that chick who shoots fireworks from her ample breasts, had no comment;

  • Veterans Today: Don’t believe your lyin’ eyes

    As we watch the Gaddafi government crumble to tiny pieces of dust and speculate whether Moamar is still in the country or not, Veterans Today, that impeccable source for all of my news tells us as recently as yesterday that our eyes are lying to us;

    Although I agree with Mr. Lendeman’s sentiment that we should remain skeptical of the New York Times’ reportage, it’s kind of hard to imagine that every news service could be wrong. Especially since even other authors at Veterans Today are writing articles entitled “Libya After Gaddafi” and “Libya Falls“.

    I guess if you bet on every horse in the race, odds are you’ll win.

  • Our gene pool gets a little more resilient

    Fox News is reporting that an American was killed by a Libyan sniper while he bicycled through the streets of Tripoli while the civil war raged around him. No links yet.

  • Who is writing at Veterans Today?

    TSO and I were discussing the number of veterans who were employed by a certain veterans’ organization yesterday, and somehow I got the idea to count the number of veterans who write at Veterans Today. You’d think that a publication with that moniker would have a whole slew of veterans wouldn’t you? Well, that’s not the case. Out of the forty authors, only 12 are veterans, according to their bios on Veterans Today – one of whom is a veteran of the Egyptian Army. Here are their names;

    Allen Roland, Brig Asif Haroon Raja (Egytian Army), Eric May, Chuck Palazzo, Ed Mattson, Gordon Duff, Jim Fetzer, John Vogel, Mike Farrell, Bobby Hanafin, Bob O’Dowd and Terry Richards.

    The other 28 are a mix of draft dodgers, ammo plant employees, chefs, bicyclists, nurses and foreign journalists;

    Anthony Lawson, Bob Nichols, Carol Duff, David Swanson, Debbie Menon, Ashraf Azzaz, Lawrence Davidson, Eileen Fleming, Eric L. Wattree, Gilad Atzmon, James Petras, Jim Dean, Karen St. John, Kourosh Ziabari, Michael Chester, Mike Stathis, Paul J. Balles, Paul Sheridan, Randy Miller, James Hall, Sibel Edmonds, Steven Lendman, Stuart Littlewood, Susan Lindauer, Tom Valentine, Yanira Farray and Zabiullah Rashidi.

    Sure some of them have impressive educational credentials, but what are they doing writing for a website called Veterans Today? One of them, Jim Hall, brags that his family has always been the military…and yet he avoided the draft and didn’t serve. Others brag that they once interviewed Noam Chomsky…like a real veteran cares about that.

    So now you know what you’re getting at Veterans Today. Useless opinions you can get in a thousand other places.

  • AWOL Birther NCO

    Active Duty Air Force Staff Sergeant Daryn J. Moran has gone AWOL because he thinks that the president isn’t an American citizen.

    As far as I’m concerned, he no better than any other AWOL soldier for whatever their reasons are. I don’t know who influences these ass clowns to make a statement with their service, but they’re no different that those butt munches at IVAW or Courage to Resist.

    It looks like those morons at World Net Daily are the ones who convinced Moran (aptly named, by the way) to use his service as a political tool. From the Army Times;

    “My conscience is violated,” he said. “I feel like I’m supporting the flag of whatever those Islamic countries are and the rainbow flag and not the red, white and blue. That’s not the kind of people I want to be associated with.”

    Yeah, to what did you pledge when you took your oath? Moran hides behind God to defend his actions. There is no defense, Moran. And don’t blame God, blame your stupid self. It’s shit like this that’s going to get Obama reelected.

    By the way, the birthers are offering a $5000 reward for anyone who has an original copy the Aug. 13th or Aug. 14th, 1961 Honolulu Advertiser. I’m sure you guys have one laying around…go get your moola.

  • How vulnerable is Obama?

    Rick Perry announced his candidacy today – read the interview at Ace of Spades.

    But you know the president is vulnerable when dingbats like Cindy Sheehan are contemplating a run at the White House in this video sent to us by ROS;

    So what makes her think she can win? She tells you in the video; “my son was killed”. What a platform.
