From Detroit, MI
A man was shot with his own gun Saturday when a man he allegedly tried to rob wrestled the gun away from him on Detroit’s west side.
Police said the victim, a 29-year-old man, was sitting in his vehicle with his family in front of a home in the 5000 block of Pacific Avenue when a man approached him and announced a holdup about 11:15 p.m. The victim wrestled the gun away from the man trying to rob him. During the confrontation, the attempted robber was shot in the buttocks, police said.
From Pleasantville, CA
An intruder who boldly walked into a home in Pleasantville and attempted to rob the family was shot dead with his own weapon on Monday. The homeowner, Marlon Williams, was also wounded and remains in stable condition at the San Fernando General Hospital. Police said the man who is yet to be identified entered the house located at Ixora Lane at around 5.30pm.
Williams’ mother, Carol Williams, was sitting in the living room. “The man walked into the house, passed Carol and went into a back room. I don’t think he knew Marlon was in the bedroom. He pulled the gun on Marlon and asked for money and jewellery. But Marlon resisted and there was a struggle,” a neighbour said. Police said Williams, 29, overpowered the gunman and they both fell to the ground. Three shots were fired in the struggle. Police said Williams was grazed in the head with a bullet.
The intruder was shot in the abdomen and chest. He died in the family’s bedroom. Williams was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Today is National Purple Heart Day. Please visit the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
During the American Revolutionary War, the Badge for Military Merit decorated six known soldiers. Purple Heart Day on August 7 commemorates the creation of the oldest American military decoration for military merit, the Purple Heart and honors the men and women who are of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Created by General George Washington in 1782 to be presented to soldiers for “any singularly meritorious action”, the decoration was a purple, heart-shaped piece of silk bound with a thin edge of silver and the word Merit embroidered in silver across the face.
It is unknown who designed the Badge of Merit. It is also unknown how many soldiers may have received the honor symbolizing the courage and devotion of an American Patriot. According to The Badge of Military Merit by Professor Ray Raymond, The “Book of Merit” where the names of possible recipients and their deeds were recorded has long been missing. According to the Badge of Military Merit by Professor Ray Raymond,
Until Washington’s 200th birthday, the Purple Heart remained a Revolutionary War footnote. Through the efforts of General Douglas MacArthur, the U.S. War Department created the Order of the Purple Heart. Today the medal bears a bust of George Washington and his coat of arms.
I know most of you are posting some kind of recognition of this hallowed day in your social media pages. Just because we are who we are here, I thought it would be worth mentioning no sacred military honor goes by without being leached upon by those who embellish and dishonor their service.
We have received numerous reports that these loons are having an event this year as well, I will not post a link as it will only increase their google presence.
Much respect to those who have actually received the Purple Heart in defense of our nation.
It seems some gay Sergeant wanted to attend a Southern Baptist couples retreat with her significant other. Maj Squires being a man of faith, hence the whole Chaplain thing, could not accommodate the gay couple. He reached out to several other Chaplains of other faiths to get the couple into one of their upcoming events since they have no religious objection to same sex marriages. Nah, that was not good enough because the young Sergeant wanted to go on a retreat that particular weekend. Maj Squires even attempted to remove himself from the very event that he organized and get another Chaplain to take his place. By then the available seats had been filled by…dare I say it, “Normal Couples”.
The investigation into Maj. J. Scott Squires has opened a larger debate over how the Army’s Equal Opportunity policy squares with restrictions placed on chaplains by their endorsing religious organization.
Triggered by these so called “Normal Couples” the Recreationally Outraged have launched some kind of pissy fit against the Chaplain and his command. I have no idea what more the Chaplain could have been expected to do in this case. It seems to be a popular thing to get all into how a Chaplain should conduct himself, I just never see these people doing it when the Chaplain has to tell a Deployed father that one of his children has died. Never once see anyone, gay or otherwise, complain about the unit Chaplain when they had to tell a service member who was deployed half way around the world their spouse has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
But, may the Gods forbid a Chaplain from organizing a couples retreat. I can personally attest to the strain deployments have on married couples. Commands need to start pushing back against this kind of nonsense. The issue is still festering.

I know our regular readers will be shocked to find out that some people were under the impression that a Scott A. Huff was a Navy SEAL with 8 years of service. Military Phonies is reporting today that they are making efforts to help Scott clear up this misunderstanding.
Years ago, Scott Huff’s then-girlfriend/wife made a comment about him being a SEAL for eight (8) years as he got ready to serve as a VFW Honor Guard.
Makes one wonder why she would be under the impression that Scott was a SEAL for eight years, not to mention the specificity of the claim. She never made any correction to this claim.
We keep getting reports about little Scott being a Navy SEAL. Some have told us he even has Certificates and such saying as much. Even his church seems to be under some impression he was a Navy SEAL.
Gosh, it seems like other people keep making false statements about Scott’s service record. That must be a terrible thing for him to have to put up with. Ya’ll know I stop at the church doors so you will have to go see that stuff HERE. Someone told me its worth the trip.
It turns out:
He was only in the Navy 2 years and made it all the way to E-2. Some guy named Shipley was contacted a few years back and tried to tell people Huff was not a SEAL. We just want to help Scott Huff out and get the word around this interwebnet thingy that he was never a Navy SEAL and people should stop saying that.
In a series of photos posted to Twitter by filmmaker Ford Fischer, members of Antifa can be seen smashing the windows of the U.S. Marines Corps recruiting office on Shattuck Avenue.
I assume most of you heard about this nonsense yesterday. You can find the story all over the interwebnet thingy. At the risk of being slightly different here at TAH, this seems to be what happens when citizens are not allowed to be armed to protect themselves and their property.
“After I filmed the antifa break the Marine Corps office window and throw a torch into a dumpster, one of them called a few over to confront me. They basically told me to leave, implying attack if I didn’t. I left. ‘Get the f— back. Cops aren’t here. They won’t help you.”
I am fairly sure that is why many of us do carry a weapon, because Cops can’t be everywhere I am.
“an extremist element among a large group” damaged 21 city vehicles, setting one on fire, and slashed their tires. The group also set fires in trash bins, which were extinguished quickly. Officials did not identify the “extremist element.”
How much longer will it be before a headline reads,”Veteran defends himself and others from ‘an extremist element among a large group’ by gunning down the hammer swinging thugs.?” I might not be a smart man, but I know when somebody with a black mask is running at me with a hammer it is not a good thing, Jenny.
The incident began percolating days earlier when two groups announced plans for a “No to Marxism” rally at the city’s Civic Center Park, an announcement that prompted plans for a “Sweep Out The Fascists” march. A counter-rally drew hundreds of people downtown.
Sounds like even citizens of Kalifornya and Orygone are getting a little fed up. Nothing promotes a healthy respect for your neighbor more than a .357 in his pocket. Just sayin.
