    Saturday morning feel good stories.

    From Detroit, MI

A Roseville pawn shop was the spot of an attempted smash-and-grab burglary early Thursday morning, but the theft was stopped by an armed store employee who shot back and scared the suspects off, police said.

It was about 5:20 a.m. when a large vehicle, believed to be a pickup truck, drove into the glass windows at the front of Motor City Pawn, which is on the 26500 block of Gratiot.

A pickup truck, a tan 2007 GMC four-door, pulls up past the entrance to store, then backs into it. Three men get out; one rushes ahead, two others stay back a bit. Within seconds, all three men, fleeing gunfire, pile back into the pickup, and it flees from the scene.

Police believe that two or three men were in the truck; one of them entered the store through the hole the truck created, but soon encountered an employee, who was armed and fired at two shots at the intruder.

The suspect fled, and the truck drove off north on Gratiot. Nothing was ultimately taken from the building.

    From Redding,CA

A man shot and killed another man yesterday in Redding after the victim was allegedly attacking him and an infant baby he was holding.

Travis William Hutchinson, 31, of Tehama County, was helping a girlfriend’s cousin study for a math test when a man already at the residence got into a fight with several other individuals that were at the house. The men fighting left the house after the homeowner threatened to call police and continued to fight outside.

Hutchinson stepped out onto the porch to try to convince the men to stop fighting, but it made one of the men angry and he then started to attack Hutchinson. He charged Hutchinson and began striking him in the head and face while he was holding an infant. During the attack, the infant slipped out of his hands, but he was able to catch the baby before it struck the concrete porch in front of the residence. Hutchinson continued to be attacked by the man.

Hutchinson – who was armed with a concealed handgun and is a lawful concealed weapons holder – fired one round at the man, stopping the attack.

The decedent was struck in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene. Police noted later that the decedent has a lengthy criminal history and was a registered sex offender. Hutchinson gave a statement to the police that was consistent with the information provided by witnesses of the shooting and was ultimately released. Hutchinson received minor injuries and the infant was not injured.

  • McCain stopping medical treatments.

WASHINGTON (AP) — John McCain, the six-term Arizona senator and 2008 Republican presidential nominee, has chosen to discontinue medical treatment for his brain cancer, his family said Friday.

In a statement, the family said McCain had surpassed expectations for survival, but “the progress of disease and the inexorable advance of age render their verdict.” The family added, “With his usual strength of will, he has now chosen to discontinue medical treatment.”

The senator, who would be 82 next week, has been away from the Capitol since December. If he should resign his seat or die soon, Republican Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey would name a replacement through the 2020 election. The winner of that election would serve the remainder of McCain’s term through 2022.

The GOP currently holds a bare 51-49 Senate majority.

McCain has been a frequent target of criticism from President Donald Trump, especially for his vote against a Republican replacement for “Obamacare,” the health care law approved under President Barack Obama.

I hate what cancer does to people.  We should have conquered this evil long ago.  Maybe if we spend a little more time and money on cancer instead of all the Recreational Outrage over faux racism, sexism, and just about every other “ism” in the world, we can accomplish something worthwhile.   I do not care for many of McCain’s positions in politics or his lack of accountability over the years.  He is loved by many, certainly as a husband and father.  Many respect what he went through as a prisoner of war.

I will not rejoice in his death, but my vision of the world will be slightly brighter.  I will not miss him.

  • Duncan Hunter had Withdrawl Problems.

There was a time when the general public hardly noticed the Silver Spoon up Hunter’s ass.  Little Duncan tried to play the role of being a champion for Veteran issues in Washington.  It really sucks when we have to tell one of our own to STFU already.

Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-California, and his wife, Margaret, arrived separately at a San Diego courthouse Thursday for an arraignment at which they both entered “not guilty” pleas to charges of using $250,000 in campaign fundsfor vacations, groceries and $600 air travel for a pet rabbit, among other personal expenditures.

“I feel good,” Hunter said as he brushed past reporters and a small group of protesters at the federal courthouse who chanted “Lock him up” and “Shame, shame.”

Over the past few years, I have called and emailed young Hunter many times.  He has hidden behind female staffers and refused to man up to anything.  His father had a reputation for being corrupt and his son appears to be carrying on the family tradition.

Bail was set at $15,000 for Hunter and $10,000 for Margaret Hunter at the brief arraignment, and a hearing in the case was scheduled for Sept. 4. Duncan Hunter was also ordered by the court to surrender his personal weapons by Monday, local ABC 10 News reported.

In a time when we need strong Conservative leaders that are capable we have to deal with the likes of Hunter.  I talked with the campaign manager of his opponent in the upcoming election and urged him to refrain from using the usual leftist loons for endorsements.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat and potential 2020 presidential contender, used Twitter on Tuesday to urge her supporters to donate to his campaign. Joe Trippi, a Democratic strategist working for Campa-Najjar, said the campaign has seen a spike in fundraising and volunteers.

Speaking with reporters in San Francisco, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi called Campa-Najjar a great candidate but was noncommittal about diverting party funds to a district whose voters still “may decide their desire for a tax cut overcomes everything else.”

Leftist loons will just be goofy even when you try to help them.  Sadly, Duncan will probably leave a shit stain all the way to DC after the election.  I tried to explain to the Campa campaign that being the grandson of a terrorist and constantly bashing Trump were not issues that would get them elected in a Conservative community.

From 2009-2016, the Hunters “spent substantially more than they earned,” and used campaign funds to make up the difference as they skirted insolvency, the indictment said.

“They overdrew their bank accounts more than 1,100 times in a seven-year period resulting in approximately $37,761 in ‘overdraft’ and ‘insufficient funds’ bank fees,” the indictment charged.

At one point, after withdrawing $20 from his personal bank account, Hunter was left with a balance of $15.02, the indictment said.

That is not the kind of responsible leader we need in DC.  Shame on the Republican Party for not replacing this embarrassment.  I am betting that the Crook will win over the Commie.  I just need to make sure young Duncan spends most of his time Burning Shitters and doesn’t try to be my Champion.

DUNCAN HUNTER – I am still waiting on that return phone call you promised…you GD coward, turn in your EGA.

Some Yutz are Prancing to Smith & Wesson

“The kids of America have to stand up when our irresponsible politicians won’t,” he said. “We’re here to elect morally just leaders that will protect us as Americans.”

Manuel and Patricia Oliver, the parents of a Parkland shooting victim, also joined marchers and condemned Smith & Wesson for making the powerful rifle used to kill their 17-year-old son, Joaquin Oliver, and 16 others at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Manuel Oliver said the weapon isn’t even allowed to be sold in the company’s home state because of Massachusetts’ strict gun laws. “That’s an ironic situation,” he said.

Yup, it seems the kiddies would like $5,ooo,ooo for some kind of proof that S&W is a responsible company.   Defending the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution is now morally unjust and they are looking for leaders who will “protect them”.

Smith & Wesson has become a target for gun control activists because the company’s military-style rifles were used not only in the Parkland shooting but a number of other recent massacres, including the 2015 shooting at a California holiday party where 14 people died and the 2012 shooting at a Colorado movie theater where 12 died.

Thursday’s marchers emphasized they’re not looking to see the company, which was founded in 1852, move out of the state. They just want it to step up and do its part to make the country safer.

“I understand it’s important to the city and its employs a lot of people,” said Nate Lapointe, a 15-year-old high school junior from West Springfield. “But that doesn’t give them a free pass on selling weapons that are used to commit mass murder. At some point, we have to hold them accountable.”

Anyone out there know why S&W is still in a state that hates them and what they do.

March organizers also want Smith & Wesson to donate $5 million toward gun violence research because of the dearth of federally funded research on the issue thanks to restrictions imposed by Congress.

Supporting “commonsense” gun laws and respecting the constitutional right to bear arms aren’t mutually exclusive, stressed Vikiana Petit-Homme, a senior at Boston Latin Academy in Boston and one of the event’s lead organizers.

“You can still support the Second Amendment and still want to live and want stronger gun laws,” she said. “It’s not one or the other.”

There is a video and everything right HERE.  They did not want their route to S&W announced because I guess they were afraid responsible leaders would not be able to protect them.  I wonder if the thought of protecting themselves has ever crossed their frail little minds.

On a positive note, the Taurus G2C is now available for just under $200.

  • Friday morning feel good stories

    From TULSA COUNTY, OK

The homeowner told deputies he was alerted by movement on his security cameras and saw two men trying to break into his storage unit with a blow torch. The homeowner ran out and yelled at the men. He noticed one of the suspects had a gun on them, so he fired shots at them.

Deputies say the suspects tried to escape in a stolen vehicle, but the homeowner blew out one of the tires. The suspects got out of the vehicle and ran away.

TCSO says the homeowner thinks he shot one of the men.

    From COOPER CITY, FL

Cooper City Woman Chases, Shoots At Car Burglars.  Ring video shows a shadowy figure trying to get into a car in Cooper City then running off. Moments later that person may have tried again, choosing the wrong house.  He was confronted by a federal agent with Customs and border protection — and she was armed.

“I just woke up to some sounds,” said neighbor Laura Cook, “I didn’t know what a gunshot sounded like, it was just 3 quick pops and it thought I was dreaming it.”

It was no dream. BSO tells us the federal agent and suspect exchanged gunfire. “After 5am a woman was exiting her home when she encountered a car burglar, she interrupted a car burglary,” explained BSO Spokeswoman Joy Oglesby. “There was a brief foot chase and the suspect turned and shot at her, she returned fire.”

    Deputies took someone into custody.

    From Fountain, CO

Police said an armed citizen stopped a knife-welding Mexican National on Monday who threatened a Greyhound busload of passengers and caused the bus to crash.

The Gazette identifies the Mexican National as 47-year-old Edmundo Arellanes-Audelo and indicates the bus crashed in Fountain, Colorado.

The Denver Post quotes Fountain Police saying, “[Arellanes-Audelo] gained access into the secured area of the bus and attempted to attack the driver while purposely grabbing the steering wheel.” The crash followed, after which Arellanes-Audelo exited through one of the bus windows in an attempt to escape.

He was confronted by an armed citizen who ordered him to drop the knife. Arellanes-Audelo complied and the citizen held him at gunpoint until the police arrived.

Passengers reported only minor injuries from the crash.

Arellanes-Audelo is facing “charges of felony menacing with a weapon, assault, reckless endangerment, felony criminal mischief and hindering public transportation.”

  • No Guns for Pot Heads

Apparently, some of you out there can no longer be trusted to purchase things that go bangy bangy because you are all smoked up on the Wacky Weed.

Court Rules That Medical Marijuana Card Holders Can’t Buy Firearms

If you have a medical marijuana card, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says that you can’t buy a gun.

The court ruled 3-0 on Wednesday that a ban preventing medical marijuana card holders from purchasing firearms is not in violation of the Second Amendment, the Associated Press reports. There are nine western states under the appeals court’s jurisdiction, including Nevada, where the case originated.

A lawsuit was filed in 2011 by Nevada resident S. Rowan Wilson after she tried to purchase a gun for self-defense and was denied based on a federal ban on the sale of guns to users of illegal drugs. Though marijuana has been legalized in some places on a state-by-state basis, it remains illegal under federal law. The court maintained that drug use “raises the risk of irrational or unpredictable behavior with which gun use should not be associated.”

So you people can forget about getting all doped up with your shiny new Fantastic Plastic Marijuana Card while playing with your guns.  Not sure about Ammo though, you may still be able to hoard a compound full of that like a stoned Woody Harrelson in a Skittles factory.
Chaz Rainey, the attorney representing Wilson, said that he plans to appeal the decision. “We live in a world where having a medical marijuana card is enough to say you don’t get a gun, but if you’re on the no fly list your constitutional right is still protected,” he told the AP. He argued that there should be more consistency in how the Second Amendment is applied.
There is some kind of stoned logic in that comparison, I just can’t seem to remember what it is at the moment.
Alex Kreit, marijuana law expert at the San Diego’s Thomas Jefferson School of Law, expects that this ruling won’t be the last we see of the issue. He told the AP that the ruling may be challenged by people who use medical marijuana who will argue “that they shouldn’t be lumped with other drug users in terms of concerns about violence.”
Dude, we seriously have Marijuana Law Experts?  It appears that you can burn one with your puppy to sooth the rough edges of life as a veteran…but please don’t play with guns while you do.  Something had to be done before these Cannabis Crazed Zombies start holding up the local Wawa for munchies and a cure for Gack Mouth.
The best I can hope for from the rest of you Gun Nutz that are sober, well balanced and heavily armed, is that you please kill responsibly.

    Thursday morning feel good stories

    From IRON TOWN, Utah

Alleged intruder shot after breaking into home with ‘Smith & Wesson’ sign posted outside

An elderly couple in southern Utah shot an intruder, but the fight didn’t stop there, according to KSTU.  Investigators say the man then stripped naked and confronted deputies.

“I saw the sheriff deputy come up on a pickup and he was coming at me like he was shot out of a cannon,” Enz said.   The Iron County Sheriff’s Office had received a call for a burglary in process in Iron Town. Deputies say 24-year-old Christian Holbert kicked down the door of the house and confronted the couple inside. “They are a little bit elderly, they do have some disabilities,” Lt. Del Schlosser said.  Elderly but not defenseless.

A sign at the home reads, “Smith and Wesson spoken here.”

“They did fear for their lives and they did shoot at him,” Lt. Schlosser said.  After being shot several times, investigators say Holbert stripped naked, walked out of the home and confronted four deputies. “Taser was used multiple times” Lt. Schlosser said. “He did not respond to that but the deputies were able to subdue him.”

After a medical helicopter took Holbert to Dixie Regional Medical Center in serious condition, Iron Town returned to quiet.  “Things happen and you just have to hope they don’t happen to you,” Enz said.  The homeowners were not hurt, and deputies say they were within their rights to defend their lives.  Investigators think Holbert was on some kind of drugs that allowed him to keep going despite being shot and tased.

    From BROKEN ARROW, OK

Broken Arrow police are investigating after an attempted home invasion led to a shooting Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported in the 2700 block of West Natchez at about 10:20 a.m.    Police said a homeowner heard a noise coming from the back of their house, and grabbed a gun before checking it out. The homeowner saw a broken window and a woman, who had a gun and a hammer, trying to get inside the home. The homeowner fired shots at the suspect, and was unsure if the suspect was hit.

The suspect was last seen driving away in an older model dark-colored sedan.
