Portland police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning on the Springwater Corridor trail in southeast Portland.

At about 9:15 a.m., officers responded to Southeast Lambert Street where it crosses the Springwater Corridor on a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with the caller, who told police he was confronted by an unknown man on the trail.

The caller said during the encounter, he fired a shot at the man in self-defense. He said the unknown man away towards a homeless camp.

The caller believes he may have hit the man, but officers have not found any evidence of an injury.

Gun Violence Response Team detectives are investigating.

    I understand that the Gun Violence Response Team was created when Portland passed its
    Violence Against Gays, Immigrants, And Never-trumpers Act last year, commonly called VAGINA.

    Do they have separate Knife, Fist, and Ball Bat Violence Response Teams? Do they determine the “identity” of the victim prior to dispatching the Team? What happens if a knife AND a ball bat are on the scene?

    Who commands the Team? If the victim changes how they identify while the Team is en route, do they send a different Team?

    Do mixed race, gender confused, cross dressing, illegal alien gay cops get paid extra?

    This is a good ending to a sad story. Police in Georgia were on a manhunt for a guy who shot and killed one of their own. They found the SOB in a shed. Tafahree (WTF is that?) Maynard, 18, is dead. He reportedly was holding a mower blade behind his back when confronted in the shed. And that was that.
