V.

On first listen, it is obviously close, but I think I have to go with the Southies.

  2. Yeah, but before I pass final judgement, I want to hear the crackhead singing, “Shipping Up To Boston” just to make sure.

The crackhead singing was 3:20 minutes too long.

Your question is rather like asking, “Which do you prefer, chewing on brand-new tacks or rusty ones?”

The Anglicans, who have been singing this song for over two centuries, would be shocked.

To be fair to murphy’s they’ve also come up with more than their fair share of veteran friendly songs such as last letter home and broken hymns.

That didn’t sound like “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” to me. (smile)

(For the humor-challenged, that’s an inside joke for those old enough to remember both Iron Butterfly and the young Cheech & Chong.)

The only word I can use to describe Crackhead Bob’s performance is “Amazing”. My mother’s funeral is on Monday, passed away at the age of 84. Any chance someone can track this guy and book him for Monday morning in Philadelphia? Mom always enjoyed a good laugh.

As an aside, read the story of John Newton, the guy that wrote ” Amazing Grace.”

OK, when I first read “Crack Head” I thought that was the name of a band or rapper, not that he WAS a crackhead! LOL!! God-awful!

This is one of my favorite versions, from the movie Amazing Grace (great movie!):
