Christopher Hendon; phony cop

Mr. Huxton sends us a link to the story of Christopher Hendon who went to a courthouse in Akron, Ohio with a child in handcuffs claiming to be a resource officer conducting a “scared straight” program.

Investigators determined that Hendon tried to enter a county courthouse on four occasions while dressed in tactical police attire and carrying a firearm. Another time Hendon tried to enter the Summit County Jail with handcuffed children.

[…]

Hendon was arrested and charged with four counts of illegal conveyance of a deadly weapon into a courthouse, four counts of criminal trespassing and four counts of impersonating a peace officer.

I think he was just exercising his right to free speech. They should release him immediately and stop persecuting people who self-identify as something they are not.

I’d bet that a peek at his computer would reveal plans for shooting a judge, corrections officer(s), or the general public.
This guy’s elevator doesn’t quite go to the top floor.

      Kid toucher maybe?

      1. UpNorth

That too. Strange that none of the 3 articles I read said anything about the children he was taking along for whatever he had in mind.

      2. desert

Why in hell wasn’t “it” charged with kidnapping?

  2. Graybeard

    Handcuffed children?

It seems other charges could be leveled.

WW, unfortunately last year we had 2 Dickweed soldiers from the 101st Abn driving around Montgomery County with blue lights pulling people over.

Lucky he didn’t have my one of my grandchildren in cuffs or you’d be reading about a dead man and a grandpa in Massachusetts facing murder charges over this perv kidnapping kids.

In Texas they would give you a hero’s banquet.

Funny how whatever happens in the military gets around to the civilian sector eventually. Just as there are only fake SEAL’s and Rangers (no fake cooks), there are only fake cops and the occasional fake EMT (e.g., The Liar of Lenoir); no one ever tries to fake being an accounts payable administrator or assistant manager of housewares.

Maybe we’ll get a fake Navy Information Systems Technician/Radioman, the advantage is with that rate, you can fake Air, Surface, Submarine, SeaBee, basically anything that needs a Radioman. We were the behind the scenes to let you talk to your mama.

I’ve seen some fake IT folks.

        They bill themselves as “Consultants.”

        1. Carlton G. Long

Some of them have zero real skills but the freshest breath in the world, due to their abundance of “Certs”

Fake jockey. I ran into one once.

How could I tell he was a fake?

He was 5’8″ tall and heavy set. Jockeys were usually 5’2″ or shorter, and skinny.

Nay. This kind of thing has gone on since I can remember. There are plenty of cases where victims were ensnared by phony law enforcement. One of my step-daughters had a brush with one on a West Texas highway. He had the hidden lights in the windshield in the wrong configuration. She continued driving and led him to the local DPS office. A trooper was getting into his patrol car when she pulled in and the fake broke off.

His deed of hauling a handcuffed kid around needs to be told among his fellow inmates and then wait for him to be the recipient of some jailhouse justice!

This guy simply can’t be all there upstairs. Stupid to try it once, but some folks just gotta try getting away with stupid stuff. Multiple times? No way. And just how did he get by with it at all?

Dude was an academy washout that started his own program to “help” kids. At least one of the parents went along with it. He is definitely a few fries short of a happy meal.

Fake police are more troublesome than Navy SEALs. A cop has various policing powers that when abused are felonious. Military have almost no domestic authority.
