  • Ron Paul Video Game?

    No you heard right, there is going to be a Ron Paul video game to help his failing race for the White House. You know, the race in which he has yet managed to claim a single state in the primaries?

    Yep this is not satire or from the Onion, this is a real project.

    Ron Paul may not be the most avid gamer — but the leading libertarian certainly wouldn’t want to stop you playing his character in an upcoming videogame from Texas-based programmer Daniel Williams.

    “Ron Paul: The Road to REVOLution” is a side-scrolling adventure game that echoes console classics of days gone by. Players take control of Dr. Paul as he sprints across the U.S., collecting coins (made of gold, of course) and delegates in a race for the White House.

    The browser-based game has one level for each of the 50 states, and 13 boss fights — one for each branch of the Federal Reserve. Once released, it’ll be free to play.

    So do not be suprised to see this spammed into your inbox or facbook page in the near future.

  • Bye-bye, Freedom Works

    While it’s wrong that Stein will probably be discharged
    for his indiscretions against the current President, it’s also wrong that Freedom Works, Dick Armey’s group of activists with whom I’ve worked in the past have begun dabbling in the issue. Dick Armey even flirted with my wife one night and I let that pass. But this is outside their area of expertise.

    This is not a first Amendment Issue, it’s an Article II, Section 2, issue. Obama is the commander-in-chief of the military and his subordinates aren’t allowed to decide which orders they will and will not obey. There are several layers of command structure above the sergeant who will protect him from having to execute illegal orders, so there is no need for him to pronounce his intentions publicly. The American public expect us to ignore illegal orders without making a federal case of it.

    I remember General John Singlaub, arguably one of the greatest of his generation of soldiers, criticized Jimmy Carter’s ruminations about withdrawing US troops from Korea and was shit canned immediately. That’s just the way it goes with soldiers.

    Like I said, Freedom Works is engaging targets outside of their lane and using a member of the military as a tool with which to fight a political battle in an election year, and the troops should not have been involved in the first place, and Freedom Works is compounding that error by waving Stein’s bloody shirt, so this terminates any relationship I had with Freedom Works.

    Besides, I think Stein is one of those Oathkeeper/Ron Paul f*cks anyway.

  • Specialist Jesse Thorsen officially reprimanded

    Specialist Jesse Thorsen a Reservist in the 402d Sapper Company in Des Moines, you remember the guy who took to the stage and endorsed Ron Paul, giving the audience the impression that members of the military endorsed Ron Paul. Well, he was officially reprimanded, according to The Hill;

    “The investigating officer found that Spc. Thorsen was in violation of DoD Directives and Instructions when, while in military uniform but not on any duty status, he participated in a partisan political rally and made a speech advocating for a partisan political candidate while in uniform, and received a reprimand that has been placed in Spc. Thorsen’s Official Military Personnel File,” the Army Reserve said in a statement.

    Stars & Stripes reports;

    Thorsen appeared on an online radio show run by the group Combat Veterans for Ron Paul titled “Language of Liberty,” defending his actions but also saying he cooperated with the Army’s investigation.

    “The Army works for Congress,” he said during the show. “If a Congressman invites you up on stage, doesn’t he have the right to do that?

    “Why can’t a combat veteran go up on stage and support a presidential candidate in his best suit, which is his American uniform?”

    Well, Specialist, now you know why you can’t. Stars and Stripes says that it was initially reported that he is a corporal, but apparently he wasn’t. So, according to them, he hasn’t been demoted. But, I went back to the video and because that stupid CNN ticker is in the way, this is the only screenshot I could get of his rank, and it doesn’t look to me that he’s wearing specialist rank on his blouse;

    I don’t know, but you look at the video and tell me it’s about at :50. It looks like he’s wearing corporal rank to me. So, 1) he was busted, or 2) he was wearing improper rank. I vote for 2. What is it with these Ron Paul guys that they think the rules don’t apply to them?

    Thanks to Chief Tango for the link.

  • No Paul=No Vote

    The Ron Paul people think they’re funny by spamming my inbox with their slacktivist crap, so I’ll just use it to my advantage. Yesterday they sent me this message about how the Republican Party is going to be sorry if they don’t give Paul a place on the ticket in November;

    [W]e below resolve that should Ron Paul not win the GOP Presidential nomination, unless either Ron Paul or Rand Paul are nominated as the Vice Presidential candidate on the GOP ticket this November, our 15% plus of the GOP electorate will not vote for the GOP at the national level. Many of us may not vote at all, others may vote third party, or if we vote we will write in Ron Paul for President as a protest against the sham two-party monopoly that controls our nation thus making real change impossible.

    Now, they claim that they’re going to throw 15% of the potential Republican voters to Ron Paul. So, thinking this might be a real threat, I went to check their petition yesterday and there were 25 signatories to the petition. I went back and checked today;

    So you see, it’s a real threat. A whole 26 people won’t vote for the Republican candidate, so there’s no way Republicans can win in November.

    We are young, intelligent and Internet and social media savvy and we will not forget your actions against us in the political process.

    Yeah, you’re internet savvy, that’s why you can’t more than 26 people to sign your stupid petition. Why are they still buzzing around our collective head?

  • Marine in deep kim-chi for internet activity

    Tman sends us a link to an article about Camp Pendleton Marine Sgt. Gary Stein, who started a Facebook presence called “Armed Forces Tea Party” in which he expressed his opinions which were against the current administration’s policies. Apparently, his command told him that what he was doing was against DoD policy. After Stein did a self-evaluation, he determined for himself that he was within the guidelines of the policy and relaunched his Facebook page. Now, he’s surprised that he’s under the gun again;

    Last week, he said his superiors told him he could not use social media sites on government computers after he posted the message stating he would not follow unlawful orders of the president.

    Stein said his statement was part of an online debate about NATO allowing U.S. troops to be tried for the Quran burnings in Afghanistan.

    In that context, he said, he was stating that he would not follow orders from the president if those orders included detaining U.S. citizens, disarming them or doing anything else that he believes would violate their constitutional rights.

    Another Marine alerted his command about the statement, Stein said.

    Stein said he respects the office of the president, but he does not agree with Obama’s policies. He said he is within his rights to speak up.

    See, here’s the thing; his command told him he was doing something wrong, but the shithouse lawyer decided that he wasn’t. When you start a group, movement or march that gives the impression that you’re speaking in an official capacity (as an agent of the government), well, you’re going to get your ass in a sling. You have a right to speak your mind, just not in uniform, or as an internet presence that operates under the cloak of a military member.

    When it comes to the military, if they told me I was doing something wrong and that I should stop, whether I thought I was right or not, I stopped doing it. I just didn’t need the hassle of drawing attention to myself. There is no right way or wrong way, there’s only the military’s way.

    Stein sounds like he’s under the influence of those dickweeds at Oathkeepers. No one needs to remind the rest of the planet that we took an oath and stand by it…and we certainly don’t need to join a group of Paulians to make it known.

    I hope Oathkeepers will pick up Stein’s legal bills and keep him in pie while he’s sitting in confinement.

  • Paulistas to take ball, go home

    Somehow I got this link in my email today, but it’s from Ron Holland on Lew Rockwell.com who declares that if the Republicans don’t crown Ron Paul their candidate, they wont vote in November. Oh, noes!!!

    It is time for a groundswell of Ron Paul supporters to quietly, respectfully but firmly make their position clear to the mainstream media and the GOP establishment. Simply put, “No Paul on the ticket means no vote for the GOP in November”.

    The Ron Paul Campaign has the GOP establishment stuck between a rock and a hard place even though they have not won a single state in the primaries to date. Every Paul supporter knows the underhanded tactics used by the Republican leadership at the state and national level as well as the organized smear and news blackout campaign carried out by the mainstream media.

    Yeah, every week, the Paulistinians call for a “groundswell of support” for something or other and it never materializes. I’m sure this will be another popcorn fart. Of course, the reason they can’t win at the ballot box is because of some unidentifiable “underhanded tactic” and media blackout. As if no one has heard of Ron Paul in the six years he’s been campaigning.

    The Republican Party desperately needs the votes of Ron Paul supporters in order to win in November against Obama.

    Why? Most of Ron Paul’s supporters voted for Obama in the last election, because, foreign policy-wise what’s the difference between Obama and Paul? Look at the people like Adam Kokesh (IVAW) and Jake Diliberto (Rethink Afghanistan) who support Ron Paul for his foreign policy.

    Yeah, sounds like sour grapes to me. And more of that disillusioned chest pounding we’ve heard from Paulistas since 2008.

  • Jake Diliberto: Ron Paul should run with 3rd Party

    Yeah, I picked this up from our buddy, Jake Diliberto on Facebook. Now ask yourself why would Russia TV and Jake want Ron Paul to run as a third party candidate?

    It is clear to me that the GOP primaries will not go to Ron Paul this year and as a result, President Obama is likely to destroy the GOP in this year’s general election.

    Mainly, the conservative wing, has taken up every issue that would ignite anti conservative flames among young voters, minorities, and independents. In two words, Meghan McCain, daughter of Senator John McCain, identified this year’s primary as, “ so lame”.

    While I wouldn’t dispute McCain’s characterization of the field of candidates, I certainly wouldn’t use that fine looking, but empty-headed twit as the source for my ruminations on politics, but Jake goes on to quote her;

    McCain picks carries on the point saying, “The Republicans need someone to excite younger people, independents, Hispanic voters and the disenfranchised.”

    Yep, Jake, that fits Ron Paul to a tee, doesn’t it? Ron Paul excites young people because he’s so close to their age. I’m sure Hispanics will trip over themselves trying to cast their vote for Paul, because he’s so “with” them on immigration.

    If I were a Ron Paul supporter, and that is certainly NOT the case, I’d be thinking to myself “Ron Paul hasn’t carried more 10% in any primary thus far, unless he was only running against one other candidate, so we should put him on third party ballot”, because mathematics in the Ron Paul world doesn’t exist. 1+0 = 70 gajillion.

    He can’t get a majority in his own party, but we should be able to attract enough votes from the other party to put him in the White House – especially since Democrats are so disillusioned with Barack Obama, or something.

    Apparently, elections mean nothing to these people, only the campaign matters. It’s like that 99% bullshit. Just because they say it, it’s true.

  • Ron Paul wins again

    Suck it, “Others”, whoever you are.

    Of course, only 99% of the votes have been counted, so there’s still time for a Ron Paul surge. And this is probably the media’s fault, somehow. They should all read a book.
