    Ryan Pitts selfie

I’m guessing that most of you got the swag from TSO in regards to our little fund raiser a few weeks ago. If you didn’t get anything and you were expecting something, please let us know. My book keeping sucks. TSO and I were at the horse barn on Fort Myers, Virginia on Wednesday and then he went to the Change of Responsibility Ceremony for the new Regimental Command Sergeant Major of the 3rd Infantry on Thursday.

I got to take a selfie with Ryan Pitts. The first time I met him, he wasn’t yet a Medal of Honor recipient, so I got to congratulate him finally.

So that’s one of the things that went on behind the blog this week.

I’ve been fighting off a paralyzing case of writer’s block this week interlaced with intermittent bouts with VA and OMB bureaucracy, so my apologies. I think I need a beer and a cigar.

Don’t forget to set your clocks and coconut IEDs ahead one hour on Sunday morning.

A special army vehicle paves a road between the two fences at the border line between Greece and Macedonia near the city of Gevgelija, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Feb. 18, 2016. Worried that the country may become stuck with thousands of people if countries to the north clamp down, Macedonia began reinforcing and expanding a mesh- and razor-wire fence on the path of migrants arriving from Greece. Thousands of refugees continue to pass through Macedonia on their way to the European Union. (EPA/GEORGI LICOVSKI)

    Coconut IED

This week’s photo is thanks to Daniel Bernath. It’s a picture of a Fort Myers police officer expertly disarming an IED contained in a coconut left on Mr Bernath’s property.

Here’s another photo from Mr Bernath of the vandalism that occurred on his property. I can’t condone this kind of mindless, excessive violence being perpetrated against Mr Bernath.
