Yup, you’d think she’s the GOP candidate, wouldn’t you? On her website, the only thing I can find that even remotely addresses her party is the fact that she belongs to the Blue Dog Coalition.
Found this article on Alternet last week. Basically, they argue that a couple of dozen reserve Marines (with 3/25) getting baptized in the Pacific Ocean will somehow inhibit the war effort in Afghanistan. I don’t smoke crack so it didn’t make any sense to me.
Alvin Greene was tracked down by a local TV station recently in South Carolina. Howling “Nooooo! Gooooo!” he probably didn’t do much for his chances for the Senate seat he seeks (WISTV link);

The LA Times reports that the Iraqi government says they’ll need US troops for about a decade in order to secure their borders.
Commanders say they are reasonably confident in the Iraqi security forces’ ability to keep order while facing insurgents or other internal threats. But when it comes to their capacity to protect against attacks from other nations, it is inconceivable that the Iraqi army will be able to stand alone by the time U.S. troops go home, said Lt. Gen. Michael Barbero, commander of the U.S. military training program in Iraq.
Talk about the blind leading the blind.
But ya know what I hope the Iraqis do to defend their borders? Build a wall. Nothing pisses off liberals more than a government which protects it’s citizens with a wall. Ask the Israelis. Ask our own border states. iIn fact the only thing I can think of that would piss off liberals more than a wall between Iraq and Iran is if the Iraqis asked the Israelis to help them build it.

I picked this up from DrewM at Ace of Spades. Harry Reid wonders how a person of Hispanic origin can possibly vote for a Republican. He seems to be saying “Hey! All of you Mets-i-kins get back out in the field and pick me some damn lettuce”.
It’s an obvious attempt to shame Hispanics into voting for him and his son (who happens to be facing an Hispanic opponent…Brian Sandoval) as if Latinos should be a monolithic voting bloc for Democrats.
Not all Latinos are so intellectually dishonest that they want open borders just to attract more Hispanics to the country. One only needs to look at how the Mexican government treats Guatemalans and Salvadorans as they transit that country.
