  • NC Governor: Suspend elections for job crisis

    North Carolina Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue, the same governor who suspends gun rights for hurricanes has decided that maybe we should suspend Congressional elections so politicians can focus on jobs instead of having to actually accomplish something;

    “I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, North Carolina, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”

    Think she sounds like she’s joking? Well, now her office claims she was, but don’t you think that she might have said that to her audience immediately after she made the ridiculous statement instead of in an email to the Daily Caller?

  • Marines encourage New recruits

    While I agree with Jonn Lilyea, whole-heartedly,  that the Dan Chois of the world are-and should be- unwelcome in the military.  The distinction is that he wants to be GAY first, and an OFFICER second.
    I loved reading this NYT  article about Marine Corps recruiters who showed up at an “Equality Center,” following an invitation.
    The Marines were the service most opposed to ending the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, but they were the only one of five invited branches of the military to turn up with their recruiting table and chin-up bar at the center Tuesday morning. Although Marines pride themselves on being the most testosterone-fueled of the services, they also ferociously promote their view of themselves as the best. With the law now changed, the Marines appear determined to prove that they will be better than the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard in recruiting gay, lesbian and bisexual service members.
    That’s how it is– or should be– for members of the military.  We support our country and our country’s laws.  Our personal views may conflict with the law of the land, but when  we wore that uniform, our personal views were left at the door.  THAT is what’s wrong with the activists, and the Dan Chois.
    So, we can get on blogs, talk to our families and fight, legitimately, for what we believe is right.  But the law is now the law and I admire the Marines for their initiative.
    It’s important to note only THREE people were interested, female, and likely unqualified.  The whole point may already be moot.

  • DNC launches “Attack Watch”

    The perpetually paranoid Democrat National Committee notified me today that they have launched a new website to defend against “smears” about the president called Attack Watch. You don’t have to register your email address, just click on the banner to proceed if you land on the registration page.

    The smears didn’t end with the 2008 election. President Obama’s opponents are still using false allegations against the President and his record in an attempt to derail the momentum of this movement.

    That’s why we’re launching Attack Watch—to provide a hub for the facts and fight back with the truth.

    But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to render these attacks ineffective and expose them as the worst kind of politics. There are lots of ways to get involved: join our Attack Wire to stay up to date on the latest from our opponents, help spread the President’s message by signing up to volunteer, or donate to support this site and the campaign as a whole.

    President Obama will end illegal immigration by throwing open the borders…on January 21st, 2013, of course.

    Ok, I may have made some of those up, but you get the idea behind “Attack Watch”.

  • Boston to restrict knife sales

    ROS sends us a link to The Blaze in which these two dildos claim that cheap knives aren’t regulated well-enough in Boston so they think that putting restrictions on sellers are the answer. Hey! It worked with guns right?

    If you say “close the loophole” enough times, people might think that you’re proposing something to protect them, huh?

    So, they banned guns from Boston and got 1300 stabbings this year. What’s next? Baseball bats, frying pans? Cars?

    So what are they calling dangerous knives? Lock blades, Buck Knives, and ooooooooh….scary-ass machetes, apparently the AK47 or Glock of edged weapons. They can be purchased for less than ten dollars and any kid off the street can buy them. Well, the ones who have ten dollars.

    Maybe they can force people to tie pillows to their asses to protect them from falls.

  • That new civil tone

    Claymore sent us a link to the great new online game “Tea Party Zombies Must Die“. I tried it once and got killed off in Level II so I blew off the game. I’m the antithesis of TSO anyway – video games don’t hold my interest very long.

    Then Old Trooper sent us a link to The Blaze report on the game. Apparently I didn’t advance far enough to have zombies who looked like Tea Party leaders like Sarah Palin, Glen Beck and Michelle Bachmann. I probably wouldn’t have recognized their caricature personae anyway – my mind doesn’t work like that for some reason.

    Fox News writes;

    The gruesome game, created by StarvingEyes Advergaming, is billed as “first-person shooter” featuring “Tea Party zombies” to be targeted with an “arsenal of weapons,” including multiple firearms and a crowbar. Notable politicians depicted in the game include current and previous presidential hopefuls like Palin, Bachmann, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum. Several Fox News personalities are also featured, including Huckabee, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Brit Hume.

    But, I guess that’s what passes for civil discourse these days. I can only imagine that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and a whole host of MSNBC talk show hosts play this game in the privacy of their offices.

  • Jimmy Hoffa: “Let’s take these SOBs out”

    Yeah, the new civil tone is taking over the debate. Listen to Jimmy Hoffa, the president of the Teamsters as he orders a crowd in Detroit to “take these sons of bitches out”referring, of course, to the Tea Party;

    “We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner. It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war,” Jimmy Hoffa Jr. said to a heavily union crowd.

    “President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong,” Hoffa added.

    “Give America back”? Really? When was America ever like Hoffa and Obama want it to be? And anytime the union thugs want to take me out, I’m ready to go. Don’t let your alligator mouth write checks that your hummingbird ass can’t cash, Jimmy.

  • Blasphemy at HuffPost

    I guess even the folks at Huffington Post have their limits tolerating this shit from the Obama Administration;

    I know Ken Blackwell is a staunch conservative who ran for governor of Ohio in 2006, but still, the hippies at HuffPost must be freaking out at this in their reading material. Evidence of that is a comment which claims that Blackwell is an “intolerant bigot” because he’s attacking the President. I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, Mr. Blackwell is an African-American, so the commenter must think that Blackwell is bigoted against the white half of Obama.
