Today’s story comes from Tucson, Arizona where police were called to investigate a suspicious man who was vaulting over folks’ backyard fences. Before police could get to the scene, one of the residents put an end to the buffoonery after he confronted the vaulter. None of the media links are clear on what happened, but the kangaroo man is in the hospital with minor injuries. So that’s one person in Arizona whose fence jumping days have ended for the short term, anyway.

Tuesday morning feel good stories
In Knoxville, Tennessee, a fellow turned his life around by attempting to rob a female clerk with a semi-automatic handgun at the local convenience store. Fortunately, for the clerk, a friend was waiting for her outside and saw the robbery. The friend retrieved his own handgun drilled the fine, upstanding young man and put an end to his momentary indiscretion and all of his future momentary indiscretions.
In Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a man was awakened by his home alarm system. Responding with his own weapon in hand, the homeowner found an enterprising youngster turning his life around in his outbuilding. The homeowner then used his handgun to convince the teen of his bad choice. Fortunately for the young man, he’ll be able to provide more target practice for other area homeowners, after a brief respite in the hospital and the local hoosegow.

Monday morning feel good stories
From the land of TSO, in Indianapolis, Indiana, comes the first brief story this morning of someone trying to turn their life around in someone else’ living room and their life was turned around permanently, he’s no longer stealing our oxygen.
In Queens, New York, an off-duty corrections officer was kicking it with four other biker buddies when a man approached them on the street, pulled a .380 caliber handgun and demanded their keys. The officer decided that they wouldn’t surrender their motorcycles and instead shot the fellow in the head to convince him otherwise. His mind was totally changed. What? Too soon?
In Atlanta, Georgia, a homeowner over-powered another fellow who was turning his life around in the homeowner’s living room at about 3 AM Sunday morning. Oxygen usage in Atlanta dropped a bit and police are still hunting his accomplice.

Sunday morning feel good story
First stop this morning is Pennsylvania where a 46-year-old man was sleeping in his first floor apartment with his girlfriend when he was awoken by a loud noise and encountered a 19-year-old fellow in his bedroom doorway. They began to wrestle a bit and the homeowner shot the intruder in the stomach with the intruder’s own .45 caliber handgun. The criminal will now be turning his life around after he gets out of the hospital.
In Missouri, a domestic dispute turned deadly. A woman who had a two-year-old with one man was discussing that child with the father. Her current boyfriend couldn’t reach her by phone, so he went to the father’s trailer where drama ensued. A physical altercation turned into a shooting when the father retrieved his 40-caliber handgun and ventilated his opponent. I’m sure she was impressed with both of the men and not examining her choice of partners.

Saturday morning feel good stories
As with many of these stories, this one happened in Texas where a couple was visiting friends. When they left the home, another man charged through the door which caused the homeowner to shoot him in the face five times. Apparently, the couple had something to do with the home invasion because the police have taken the male half into custody and they’re looking for the woman. The home invader dude was hospitalized which means to me that the homeowner needs to invest in a larger caliber weapon.
In Nashville, a man broke into a halfway house looking for an ex-girlfriend. He got into an argument with some guy there and got his ass shot. I’m sure the ex-girlfriend will take him back now.
In Chattanooga, a fellow came home to three people turning their lives around by liberating the fellow’s television. When one of the men reached for his waistband like he was going to liberate a few rounds of ammunition, the homeowner beat him to the draw. The three beat feet unharmed. Police found one of them later hiding in the woods nearby, they were alerted to his presence by the tattletale dogs nearby.

Friday morning feel good story
In San Antonio, Texas, a 70-year-old security guard was forced to defend himself from a fellow who was breaking into the van while the septuagenarian was inside it. The fellow who was merely trying to turn his life around was struck twice in the arm and once in the back by .38 caliber bullets;
Still in San Antonio, Texas, another fellow trying to turn his life around was caught in the act by a homeowner who took the opportunity to propel the fellow on his way down his life’s new path with three or four lead injections.
For the first time in the three years that we’ve been doing these daily stories, the targets in these two shootings ended up in the same hospital. I think that’s somewhat serendipitous. They can compare notes, maybe team up into some sort of Dutch Rudder Club – Texas and discuss how the price of ammo in Texas caused them each to be struck by bullets several times.

Thursday morning feel good story
In Detroit, a cancer-survivor who goes by the name Ms. Dee heard breaking glass in her home. When she went to investigate, the men (three or four of them) climbed in through the window and shot her in the leg. She went and got her own gun and returned fire, hitting at least one of them. They un-assed the AO. Her brother Corey told the media “If you break into our home, we’re going to kill you” which seems fair to me.
According to this report, since Detroit Police Chief James Craig endorsed citizens defending their homes from criminals, burglaries and home invasions are down about 29%. Funny how that works, ain’t it?
There’s another story about a fellow in Texas who killed a burglar, but if you have more money than me, you can buy a subscription to the Baytown Sun to read it. Just knowing it happened is enough for me.

Wednesday morning feel good stories
First off, in Kentucky, three men broke into a home and began pistol-whipping the inhabitants. Luckily their gun misfired when they pulled the trigger while the gun was pointed at one victim’s head. The family’s father fetched his firearm and shot one of the intruders and the trio fled the scene. The fellow who was struck was found down the street and hospitalized for his bad decision.
In Ohio, an uninvited guest was greeted with gunfire as he tried to turn his life around entering a home through a window. He thought better of the situation and beat feet. Police believe that he may be wounded and they’re still looking for him or his remains, whichever turns up.
In Pennsylvania, an agitated Jimmy W. Spencer forced his way into a neighbor’s home and began assaulting the neighbor. The neighbor convinced Mr. Spencer that was a bad idea by giving Mr. Spencer a lead injection. Mister Spencer is now reconsidering his initial decision from a hospital bed in Morgantown, West Virginia.
