    Tuesday morning feel good stories

In Montgomery, Alabama, three fellows tried to turn their lives around by robbing some guy on the street. Unfortunately for them, the fellow they tried to rob was armed and he made one of them DOT (he went to the hospital before he checked out) and the two others will be charged with his murder.

In Louisville, Kentucky, Deontae Yarnell pleaded not guilty in a hearing after he chased down a fellow he caught on his property and made him DRT about a block away from his property. You shouldn’t do that. If you can’t hit them at the scene of their crime, just let them go.

In Vancouver, Canada, an intruder climbed in through a window, and the Traverse family dog alerted the family to the invading criminal. Mark Traverse loaded one of his rifles and made the criminal DRT. By the way, the burglar was a grizzly bear.

In Norman, Oklahoma, Kenny Childers, was followed home from the local casino by a couple of fellows who thought that he was an easy mark. One of them came to door of Childers’ home and demanded his winnings. Kenny turned over the winnings and his wife’s car keys before securing his rifle and stopping the thief, but he realized the gun wasn’t loaded. So he gave the fellow a running start while he went inside to get ammo, then Kenny stopped the criminal again mounted on his 4-wheeler. The thief’s accomplice drove off, but not before Kenny loosed a couple of rounds into the vehicle for later identification.

Kenny says his guns are loaded now, in case someone wants to take another shot at getting his winnings.

    Monday morning feel good stories

Here’s another one from Harris County, Texas, where a man in his 60s found an enterprising fellow trying to turn his life around with the older gentleman’s car. the younger fellow then charged at the gentleman with something in his hand. The gentleman discharged his shotgun at least once which was enough to make the younger man DRT. The elder man’s son told the press that it’s the second time he’s been robbed in the last few weeks. Maybe he should put the DRT’s head on a pike in his yard.

Stephen sends us a link from Fresno, California, where Paul DeLeon, witnessed a woman being attacked by another fellow. She was being kicked hard in her head by the manly fellow.

Luckily, according to the article “DeLeon acts as a quasi-security guard for businesses” even though he’s homeless, he owns mace and a legal gun. He maced the woman-beater who threatened to come back and deal with DeLeon later – which he did, this time with a gun. He wounded Deleon, but DeLeon got a few rounds off himself and drove the tough guy off who led police on a high speed chase and has for the time being escaped. but the police claim that they know who he is, so it’s just a matter of time.

Nervous Ned broke into a home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where there were four adults and a toddler, but he dropped his gun and then fled the scene. They should have no problem finding him since everyone is required to be licensed to carry a gun in Philadelphia and they’re required to file their fingerprints, so the police should have him in no time, right? I mean, that’s why they go through all of that…to catch crooks. It couldn’t be to harass law abiding citizens, could it?

    Sunday morning feel good stories

In St. Paul, Minnesota, a man reported that his car had been stolen. he told police that there were two guns in the stolen vehicle. About ten minutes later, police received a report that another man had been robbed at gun point and the thief had made his getaway in a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle.

Several hours later, a man was in the park to view the “blue moon” when he was approached by a teen who asked to borrow his cell phone to call his mother. When the man stood up to get the phone out, another teen approached him with a gun and demanded his property. The man happened to have a legal firearm, so he surrendered it to the teen one round at a time. While a woman near by called 9-1-1, the man administered first aid to the teen he had just shot, but he was unable to save him and he was DRT. 4 other teens have been arrested in connection with the crimes of that day.

In Las Vegas, Nevada, a group of men approached a couple on the street and demanded their property, the man surrendered his firearm one round at a time and another man was DOT at the hospital.

In Tacoma, Washington, a man robbed a woman on the street, but when he was confronted by witnesses, the man pulled out a gun. An off-duty police officer nearby saw the incident and identified himself to the criminal, but had to fire. The criminal tried to drive away, but didn’t get far before he was DOT.

Thanks to Chief Tango for today’s links.

    Saturday morning feel good story

In Fayetteville, Georgia, a homeowner heard a disturbance in his garage and when he went to investigate, he saw an ambitious fellow in there with a gun, so he went and got his gun, too. When he came back, he ventilated the intruder four times who was then taken to the hospital in critical condition.

In Akron, Ohio, another homeowner shot another burglar in his home. Th criminal then ran across the street and he was DOT.

In Hewitt, Texas, a homeowner heard a knock at his door and cracked it open to get a peek at the fellow, but he didn’t recognize him or the guy who came up behind the knocker so he slammed the door shut and blasted away through the door which influenced the pair to un-ass the AO.

In Marianna, Florida, a woman tried to keep a strange man from entering her apartment. The criminal knocked the gun from her hand, so she whacked his arm with a crowbar while she tried to find her gun. When she did, finally, she blasted away at him and he un-assed the AO, but it’s not known if he sustained any gunshot wounds – police are still looking for him. She was shot in the leg during the struggle.

Here’s one from Rockville, Illinois where the cops actually showed up while the home invaders were still invading and rescued a man, a woman and a child from three criminals. Two of them were on parole from their previous crimes – so back they go.

I’ll bet David Hemenway is feeling pretty silly about now.

    Friday morning feel good stories

In Bremerton, Washington, a 78-year-old man was sleeping when he and his wife were awakened by their security alarm. The homeowner grabbed his gun and went to investigate. He encountered a burglar in his garage who then stole the resident’s Prius. The homeowner loosed five rounds in his direction but the thief still made good his escape, for awhile, anyway. One of the items that he’d stolen was the resident’s cell phone and the police tracked the GPS in the phone. So Mr Thief tried to run from the police, but they used a spike strip and stopped the car, but then he made his escape on foot.

In Hobart, Indiana, another man chased two armed burglars away from his residence with his gun by firing a warning shot into the ground after he encountered them in his garage and they took flight.

He’s lucky that he doesn’t live in Youngstown, Ohio, because Peter Horvath was fined for firing warning shots at his burglars there. So, know your local laws for firing warning shots…or don’t fire warning shots would be my recommendation.

    Thursday morning feel good stories

Here’s one from Cambodia – villagers in Phnom Penh banded together and confronted a burglar and beat him unconscious and left him laying in a pool of blood despite police orders to not form a neighborhood watch group. I’ll bet that makes him think again about h.is chosen career.

In Prattville, Alabama, Bryan J. Vance was sentenced to 20 years in prison even though he never entered the home of the victim of his deceased partner, Mikel E. Smith, who was shot multiple times by the elderly woman who lived there back in 2014. Smith ended up DOT, by the way.

19-year old Damien Livingston, in Moscow Mill, Missouri, tried to turn his life around in someone’s bedroom. The owner heard Livingston rummaging through her jewelry box, but she kept quiet until he left the room, then she went a go her husband who was downstairs.

He went to confront Livingston in the garage with his gun, but Livingston told the man that he was armed, too. The husband let him get away, but the police caught up to the teen later. It’s really a bad idea to carry a gun into a dangerous situation if you don’t intend to use it. Livingston did have a gun when the police picked him up, but it was a gun that he stole from the garage.

    Wednesday morning feel good story

    In Mesquite, North Carolina, a convenience store clerk took on a violent criminal with a long history with the police and ended up shooting the fellow with his own gun. Unfortunately the criminal survived and authorities are making long term arrangements for him to live on the taxpayers’ dime. His partners in life-changing are still on the loose;

    FOX 46 Charlotte

Then in Saint Petersburg, Florida, 27-year-old Dominique Albert tried to carjack two undercover officers on stake out with a knife. When he flung open their door, they both yelled “Police!” and young Albert un-assed the AO, but not quickly enough. He’s cooling his heels in the local hoosegow.

In Lake County, Florida, a fellow was walking around his neighborhood when he saw a teen toss his neighbor’s TV out the window, so the fellow went and got his gun from his own home and came back to confront the teen. The teen charged the man who used his gun for it’s intended purpose. The youngster was medevaced and his condition wasn’t known at the time.

    Tuesday morning feel good stories

At last word, Jacksonville, Florida police are still sorting through details and evidence at the scene where a homeowner led them to a man in his backyard that he had perforated. He had life-threatening injuries, but now, unfortunately, it looks like he may survive. Sorry.

In Palo Alto, California, a family discovered a new and ingenious way to fend off three home invaders. The enterprising thief, dressed as a pizza delivery guy, pushed past one of the adult children who had answered the door with his two armed accomplices. The mother then began yelling at the intruder, soon followed by the father who also yelled, the intruder and his two accomplices decided to un-ass the AO at a high rate of speed and everyone turned out fine.
