    Saturday morning feel good stories

In Santa Ana, California, Erickson Dumaual was sleeping in his own bed at about 4 AM when a couple of fellows turning their lives around intruded on his sleep demanding his valubles with a gun to his head. When the gunman, 19-year-old Bryan Bravo, took his eyes off of Dumaul, he made his move and wrested the gun from Bravo. Bravo came at Erickson despite his pleas not to do that, so Dumaual busted a cap in Bravo’s leg, then he pushed Bravo into his pool where police fished him out and took him to the hospital. Sometime during the struggle, Bravo’s partner un-assed the AO and police are still looking for him.

In Detroit, Michigan, a man took an evening stroll to the local ATM and encountered two other fellows who thought they needed his money more than the 50-year-old. The elder fellow, instead, pulled out his legal firearm and a gun fight ensued in which all three were wounded, but none had life-threatening wounds.

In Jacksonville, Florida, Navy veteran Byron Cooper found himself between an armed robber and a Walgreen clerk. he says that he gave the clerk a look; “I just kind of looked at her like, ‘I’m about to do something stupid, so run,’” and Cooper then wrestled the thief to the floor and then stabbed him with his pen knife until he stopped struggling. It turns out that the thief was a liar, too, he didn’t have a gun.

    Friday morning feel good stories

Amy sends us our first feel good story this morning from Harris County, Texas where a fellow outside of his apartment complex was approached by a fellow brandishing a weapon, so the intended victim pulled out his own gun and perforated the fellow who is getting his new holes spackled at the hospital while police officers make more permanent arrangements for his room and board.

In Lincoln County, West Virginia, Wielding a pipe, 26-year-old Zachary Vance entered his neighbor’s home in a dispute over Vance’s dog. The neighbor, for some reason, shot his wall with a shotgun and injured Vance’s wife who was on the other side of that wall. The State Police separated Vance from his dog for an extended period of time and Vance’s wife’s injuries were declared not serious.

In El Cerrito, California, two burglars broke down the door of an 85-year-old man who immediately surrendered a bullet ringing the bell of one of the intruders. The two un-assed the AO at a high rate of speed, but, the police caught up to the wounded suspect, Shawn Mulberry, you know, what with his head injury and all. Police took him for treatment and they’re still looking for his partner. A few hours later, a relative showed up at the door of the 85-year-old, Harry, to intimidate him, apparently.

I keep telling you people that us old guys can’t struggle with you, we’ll just shoot you.

Someone sent us a link to the story of an 11-year-old who used a handgun to defend himself and his 3-year-old sister in St Louis, Missouri when a 16-year-old forced his way into their home. The police declared it an attempted home invasion even though there was no sign of a forced entry. Either way, the 16-year-old was DRT.

Jeff sends us a link about a story in Detroit, Michigan, where Joe Lanier was accosted by a teenager who tried to rob him while he was sitting in his car. Unfortunately for that teen, Joe has a concealed carry permit and exercises that right. He fired at the teen 7 times through the car window. The teen is in the hospital, but Joe is not. Joe works as an exterminator, if that’s not ironic.

    Thursday morning feel good stories

We start out in Phoenix, Arizona this morning where a homeowner called police to tell them that he was holding “a stranger” in his home at gunpoint. Sometime after the phone call, the “stranger” attempted to harm the homeowner who ventilated the “stranger” and he was taken to the hospital with some non-life-threatening injuries.

In Fayette County, West Virginia, a homeowner confronted a burglar in his home with a firearm. The burglar quickly un-assed the AO. The homeowner took the legal option and didn’t fire at the fleeing burglar. Police are still looking for the thief.

In Jerome, Idaho, a homeowner heard some people around his vehicle and went to investigate with his gun. He fired one of those warning shot things that I don’t understand and the criminal tried to enter his home. About that time the sheriff deputies arrived, and that’s when the crook decided to resist, so the police had an opportunity to deal out some justice before 26 year old Manuel O. Madrigal-Orozco went to the hoosegow.

    Wednesday morning feel good stories

In Columbus, Ohio, a woman called the police about someone forcing thier way into her home where she was with her toddler. She put down the phone and picked up her firearm and shot 23-year-old William Evans DRT (dead right there). His family says that he had never been arrested and he was only there because the man of that home was talking trash about Evans’ baby momma.

In Rockland, Maine, 45-year-old Christopher Wildhaber was shot by a homeowner, but not well enough. When police arrived, Wildhaber had un-assed the AO and the officers found him hiding in the nearby woods where he put up a struggle. He was taken to the hospital and treated for his wounds and then moved to more permanent quarters at the local hoosegow.

In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 32-year-old Steven Reese and his partner thought they were being clever when they knocked at a door at about 2:30 AM and covered the peephole while identifying themselves as police. The crafty homeowner wasn’t fooled, though. When Reese and his pal broke down the door, an altercation ensued and somehow Reese was shot and became DRT. The other fellow left at a high rate of speed.

    Tuesday morning feel good stories

An elderly couple in Ontario, California awoke to the sight of a youngster climbing in their home through the window. The man armed himself with a shotgun and chased the youngster way from the house. After a while the failed burglar made moves towards the elderly man who, in turn fired a warning shot which made the youngster surrender, and that’s how police found them. The younger man had two outstanding warrants, which are no longer outstanding.

In Phoenix, Arizona, three armed men forced their way into a home, two left after the homeowner greeted them with his own firearm and laid one of them low with non-life-threatening wounds.

Chief Tango sends us a link about the events in Baltimore, Maryland where a woman was shot multiple times by a clerk when she announced an armed robbery at a local liquor store. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition while her accomplice un-assed the AO without her.

Russ sends us a feel good story from Brandon, Mississippi, where a boyfriend was proving his value to his girlfriend by pounding on her, but she drilled him instead and he was declared DRT (dead right there).

    Monday morning feel good stories

Down in Ada, Oklahoma, a homeowner was coincidentally loading his shot gun after cleaning when Michael Paul Mikula walked in his door without being invited. The homeowner recognized him from a police sketch in the local paper and ordered Mikula out of his house. Mikula complied, the homeowner says that he looked to be intoxicated. A few days earlier, Mikula had forced his way into a girl’s home and assaulted her, then stole her car. Police are still looking for him, but he has one fewer victims because of a firearm.

Chief Tango sends a link from Jackson, Mississippi where news crews report that a man was led from the scene of a shooting in cuffs. “The unidentified man said, “I don’t have the right to shoot him, if he comes on my property?”.” So I’m guessing that they’re still investigating.

    Sorry there are no DRTs or DOTs today, so here’s a video to go with your coffee from AW1Ed;

    Sunday morning feel good stories

Chief Tango sends us our first story this morning from Lexington, Kentucky where a homeowner found a fellow jerking around with his car, when the thief took off running, the owner plugged him in the lower back. The police said they both face charges.

In North Dakota, a reporter asked a couple of lawyers when people can defend their homes with a firearm. Of course, the lawyers’ answer is that you need to have a lawyer advise you before you pull the trigger. I think this is some sort of program to house homeless lawyers. Reporters and lawyers are not helpful, especially when they’re involved in a single article.

    Saturday morning feel good stories

In Jamestown, North Dakota a fellow broke into someone’s home and started a confrontation with the owner who, in turn, ventilated the fellow, but he’s in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries thinking about what he has done.

In Clay County, Kentucky, a man tried to win back his ex-wife by shooting her current husband with a shotgun blast to his head. The new husband returned the favor with a flurry of gunfire from two hand guns strike the ex-husband in the buttocks. I would have liked to been a fly on the wall of the helicopter when it airlifted the two to the hospital. I’d also like to see a picture of this woman. She must be gorgeous to drive men to such lengths.

Thanks to Chief Tango for the links.
