  • Occupy DC get 4-month extension

    Olga emailed a link to Fox News last night that the Park Service has ganted the protestors in Freedom Park, near the White House, a four-month extension on their permit for their theatrics.

    “I never dreamed we would have a four-month extension,” said Margaret Flowers, one of the demonstration’s organizers who met with the Park Service.

    She called the offer a “transformative moment,” saying she had expected officials to tell the group they would have to disperse and take down their tents and signs ranging from “tax the rich” and “compassion not capitalism” to “peace is patriotic” and “time 4 change.” She and others believed they would be arrested Monday night if they stayed.

    Yes, this is outstanding news. There aren’t already enough people sleeping on the streets in DC. I’m pretty sure the protest will die out after a few more weeks when the weather turns colder. Most of the Code Pink hags are spending the night elsewhere already…like John Kerry who left the members of VVAW to sleep on the National Mall while he ate luxurious meals and slept in trendy digs in Georgetown. That’s because some animals are more equal than others.

    It’s irresponsible of the Park Service to give these clowns a four-month period during which they can cover the city with their filth – a further expense for already overburdened tax payers.

    Dickweed, Ann Wright, who believe it or not, is a former Army colonel said this;

    Ann Wright, 65, a resident of Honolulu, agreed, saying the permit extension now means there is a base for protesters to come to in Washington.

    “Come raise hell in the nation’s capital because we have a foundation to raise hell from,” she said

    Yes, that’s precisely the position I’d expect a former Army colonel to espouse. I’m so proud.

  • Code Pink protested the Army Ten-miler

    According to former LTC and current Congressman Allen West and flurry of blogs report that Code Pink took some time out from getting pepper-sprayed yesterday to protest at the Army Ten-Miler yesterday. Among the folks running the race through DC were wounded warriors running on ther various prosthetic limbs. From Weasel Zippers, Gateway Pundit, Politicons, anf the POH Diaries. And they wonder why we call them hags.

    I usd to run the 10-miler when I taught ROTC. It was a great run. the last time I was there was as race support with 82 Airborne Division Association in 2000. The following year, of course, it was cancelled because of the events the previous month. It was always a great event that brought together soldiers from around the world. It’s a cryin’ ass shame the hags of Code Pink can’t leave the troops alone for a moment.

  • Professional Protesters in DC

    In the video below it shows people from the protest trying to enter the Air and Space Museum because that is some how connected to the economy today.

    But some people on youtube have noticed something interesting on it.

    Watch the guy with the black shirt holding the camera from 00:09-00:12 unharmed. then look at him screaming in agony from time 00:19 to 00:22

    Not to mention quite a few didnt even cover there faces until they came out then started “acting” like they were? harmed.

    Is there anyone that still needs convincing that all of this is still just a act for attention rather then getting anything real accomplished?

  • Smelly hippies in DC

    Media Benjamin, the head hag of Code Pink presents “Smelly Hippies Occupy Freedom Plaza”. “The police said we couldn’t have tents, but they didn’t say we couldn’t have cardboard boxes.” Four days of stench.

    So much talk about courage when they don’t have a clue.

  • VFP tries to arrest Rumsfeld

    Daniel sends us a link to a report that the Geezers for Sitting on Our Hands (Veterans For Peace) tried to conduct a citizens’ arrest of Donald Rumsfeld in Boston last night;

    “I went down in front and looked Donald Rumsfeld in the eye and said, ‘I’m making a citizen’s arrest,’” protester Nate Goldschlag told WCVB-TV.

    “He lied us into Iraq. He lied about weapons of mass destruction. He lied about Saddam Hussein being involved in 9/11.”

    Three of the protesters removed from the event were with Veterans for Peace and a fourth was a member of Code Pink. One protester was arrested outside the event for allegedly using a bullhorn to assault a police officer.

    Goldschlag forgot to mention that Rumsfeld was on the grassy knoll in Dallas and staged the moon landing in Arizona.

    Of course, the people who wanted to hear what Rumsfeld had to say booed the four tiny-penised protesters.

    I only wish that they’d had the gumption to try that shit at the Milblog Conference when Rumsfeld spoke to us, but that was early on a Saturday morning, you know the hippies couldn’t drag themselves out for a principled stand at 8am.

    Here’s the protester’s side of the discussion below the jump;

  • Code Pink’s mixed message

    My weekly update from the handsome women at Code Pink tells me that they’re “occupying” Wall Street this week for some reason;

    We are the 99 percent —the vast majority who will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1% who hold all the wealth. CODEPINK has been in Wall Street camping out with other activists in Liberty Plaza because we know real change begins with direct action to challenge corporate greed and endless war. Though we face serious obstacles, we are committed to disarming the military industrial complex with humor and positive energy, both at this vibrant “American Tahrir Square” to Freedom Plaza in Washington DC starting Oct 6 for the tenth anniversary of the Afghan War to denounce war and demand funding for housing, jobs, healthcare, and education.

    i think I’m in tha 99% they’re talking about, but I’d like them to leave Wall Street alone – I have hundreds of thousands of dollars working for me on Wall Street and I’m taking part in capitalism. I’m pretty sure that the ingrates of Code Pink are taking part in the Wall Street experience, too. Everyone with a mutual fund or a money market account is happily watching “evil” Wall Street grow our money. And what does their protest on Wall Street have to do with their anti-war message, anyway? I guess the protest on Wall STreet looked more lucrative than complaining about the war.

    I guess they realized that, too, when they were writing the letter, because they switched gears to the Afghanistan War;

    The recent uptick in violence in Kabul provides a chilling reminder of the truth we’ve known all along: violence begets violence. The U.S. must stop propping up drug lords and war lords and bring our war $$ home. The international community must support real peace negotiations in Afghanistan, which includes women’s equal involvement in the process. Let’s stop pretending men with weapons represent the will of the people; we support real democracy.

    Violence begets violence, huh? I guess that’s why we’re over there in the first place because of the violence that was committed against us. “Real peace negotiations”? With who? Those guys who throw acid in the face of school girls? Do you really think that the taliban is interested in hearing what women have to say in the future of Afghanistan? Now Code Pink asks if we really think that men wih guns represent the will of the people in Afghanistan…who are you talking about? The Taliban? They’re the ones who ruled the country from the barrel of their guns, numbnuts. How can you think that the Taliban are honest brokers for the people of Afghanistan? The same folks who are committing that “recent uptick in violence” against the people of Afghanistan.

  • Iraqis to Panetta: We like you guys after all

    The new Secretary of Defense says that the Iraqis have already agreed that US troops should stay there beyond 2011 reports Stars & Stripes;

    Six weeks after Panetta became the latest U.S. leader to press Iraq on a formal request, the Pentagon is moving forward, he said, because there is unanimous consent among key Iraqi leaders to address U.S. demands. Those demands include that Iraqis begin negotiating internally what type of U.S. training force they would like, begin a process to select a defense minister, craft a new Status of Forces Agreement and increase operations against Iranian-backed militants.

    I guess Code Pink and the Iraq Veterans Against the War won’t be helping the Obama campaign next year. And this kind of makes Dahlia Wasfi’s message empty, too. Exit question to Ward Reilly…is it still an occupation when the host country asks you to extend your presence in their nation?

    Thanks to Jeff Schogol for the link.

  • How vulnerable is Obama?

    Rick Perry announced his candidacy today – read the interview at Ace of Spades.

    But you know the president is vulnerable when dingbats like Cindy Sheehan are contemplating a run at the White House in this video sent to us by ROS;

    So what makes her think she can win? She tells you in the video; “my son was killed”. What a platform.
