Return of the Camaro
You may have noticed Casey Porter around here a lot lately. He used to make videos for IVAW until Carl Webb stuck in his craw while Casey was deployed to Iraq last year. Webb tried to get him to sabotage US equipment and he refused to do it and bailed from IVAW when he returned.
Currently, Casey has withdrawn from all political activity and is focusing on his career as a film maker.
Here’s an example of his work – it’s on one of my favorite subjects – the Camaro. I’ve been a Chevy lover most of my life and aside from a few Mustangs, an International Harvester Scout and a VW van, that’s all I’ve owned.

A wise man once said:
Ladies and gentlemen, I’ll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests – we did. But you can’t hold a whole blog responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn’t we blame the whole blog system? And if the whole blog system is guilty, then isn’t this an indictment of our media institutions in general? I put it to you, readers of TAH – isn’t this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we’re not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America, Gentlemen.
Now, like the Chewbacca Defense, that does not make sense. But, I report you decide:

Bosox fans…I’m not exactly sure what your official position is on the following, but I’d imagine there might have been a news conference or perhaps a public event disavowing the persons responsible for the crime against baseball that I’m about to relate. Allow me to explain…no…it is too much, allow me to sum up:
It was late. My wife and I were bored. We wanted to watch a movie. And this digital abortion was free.
The suckage to which I refer is the 2005 movie, Fever Pitch.

This is Venus Flytrap, here to brighten, tighten and enlighten your starlight hours…
OK, so one of the people at the movie last night was Venus Flytrap from WKRP in Cincinati, real name Tim Reid. The prevailing wisdom in emails today is that I am a total loser for not ever having watched this show, or knowing who he was. Now, if they said “Lt Downtown Brown from Simon & Simon” that reference I would have got.
Anyway, does that qualify as a bona fide celebrity sighting? Blackfive seems to think so, but I am still up in the air.

Raised White Letter Liars
My dad has a little problem with the truth. Always has. Not exactly sure why or what caused this colossal break in basic human interaction, but of all his flaws, I think I’d put this one at the very top…above wearing polyester coaches shorts over the top of sweatpants…above him wearing a “Vietnam Veteran And Proud Of It” hat when during the war he sat his ass behind a desk at Grissom Air Force Base in the middle of Godforsaken Indiana…no, those pale in comparison to the string of lies he has trailing behind him.
