In case you’ve forgotten: she was recently indicted, along with her chief-of-staff, on fraud and other Federal charges – as in more than 20 total counts. And she also had some, um, interesting things to say about the Orlando Pulse terrorist shooting incident.
Well, Rep. Brown ran for reelection in yesterday’s Florida primary election.
Gee. That’s too bad.
But at least it doesn’t look like she needs to worry too much about future employment. I’m guessing that’s pretty well already arranged.

So, according to the story, five incumbents have lost their primaries this year-three Republicans and two Democrats. In the case of both Democrats there were serious allegations of corruption involved (the other Dem was Chaka Fattah of Pennsylvania who had resigned under charges of corruption earlier this year).
Republicans may get exasperated with their congress critter (and I was rooting for Huelskamp, who stood up to Agricultural interests in his own district) and give him or her the boot, but apparently Dems have to get caught with their hands in the cookie jar. There’s a lesson in there somewhere, but the left and the media (but I repeat myself) can’t or won’t figure out what it is.
More good news: The nutjob Alan Grayson also lost his primary. Debbie Wasserman Schultz managed to win her primary, though, so it’s a mixed bag.
Hadn’t heard about Grayson; that is good news. Was really hoping Lil’ Debbie would get the “heave-ho” too, though.
And apparently Grayson’s wife list the primary to take the seat her nut job hubby previously held.
So not everyone in Florida is a total moron, at least.

God-anyone who uses the boondoggle that is “high speed rail” as proof of good policy should probably be sent to prison for corruption on that basis alone.
McCain won. With 99% of the precincts in, he had 251,554 votes. As of 2014, there were an estimated 6.7 million residents of AZ and as of 2016, 3.4 million registered voters. Look at those numbers and try and tell me we are not totally screwed. And by “we” I mean the country. In Florida’s 23rd Congressional district where that crazy woman, WhatsernameSchultz, was returned to DC, with 100% of the precincts in, she took 28,279 votes of the 101,665 registered voters.
The Drooler and the Crazy Woman were returned to DC. Meanwhile, I guarantee you that 99% of the voters in AZ and in Fl’s 23rd have an unfavorable view of and low regard for Congress.
I really would take the automatic vote away from most people if I could and install a basic civics tests as a qualifier.
McCain’s was a primary.

Of those 251,554 votes for McCain, none of them were mine. I was once a McCain supporter, but it’s time for John to retire and go spend Cindy’s money.

I reside in Corrine’s district. Her Duval county supporters, which there were still many, dropped the ball. There has been a very contentious State Attorney race and many of her supporters in that district switched their party to Republican to vote against the incumbent. What they didn’t realize, until to late, was that they locked themselves out of the democrat primary and they could only vote on the republican ballot. This accounted for about 25% of her supporters. Because of the dislike for SA Angela Corey, which was by both sides, they helped get Brown voted out of the House. Now with her indictment moving forward and hopefully move her into the big house with a different dress code and no wigs.
That does not strike me as odd as anyone that would vote her would not appear very bright to begin with.
Hence the absence of forethought.

If were to make a suggestion to him, though, it would probably be far wiser to raise a controversy when your star is ascending and people will forgive idiocy, than when your stats are on the bubble and important people in your career field are saying “well, he was real good once upon a time.”
