  • Dr. HusseinLove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Cap and Trade

I am totally supporting today’s Cap and Trade legislation! This could be the most brilliant Bill ever written.

No, I’m not off my meds folks, work with me here.

I say “brilliant” if Carl Rove wrote it. I haven’t had a chance to read the whole Bill but of course not one single member of Congress has either but that’s okay, I think it’s a winner anyway.

Let’s get it out front that Global Warming will go down in history as the greatest scam ever concocted. The academics who are pimping this are doing so only for money and the down right stupid people who are fully invested in this cult are just stupid Kool Aid drinkers.

Having said that, it is a golden goose for the RNC.

Look, Obama and his socialist handlers are pushing three big initiatives before they lose control of congress: Cap and Trade, Nationalized Health Care and Immigration Amnesty.

The only one of these that could ever be reversed is Cap and Trade and that is why we should support it whole heartedly.

I realize that our electric bills will almost double and $4.00 gas will happen. This will cause massive inflation in all sectors; groceries, retail, you name it. It will also cripple the coal industry and put hundreds of thousands of people out of work.

BUT OBAMA WILL OWN IT! 100%.

“Under my plan of a cap and trade system electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Businesses would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that cost onto consumers.”
Senator Barack Obama Speaking on Cap and Trade
    San Francisco Chronicle
    January 17, 2008

Obama can’t blame this on George Bush or the ever fatiguing 8 years of misguided policy. He will own it and we should let him.

This will be painful but it will guarantee a major RNC victory in 2010 and seal his place in history as a miserable failure as President.

I can see the billboards now. Utility bill from June 2009 beside a bill from 2010 with a single word stamped over it: CHANGE!

Of course IF this whole thing blows up today, we can say with 100% certainty that Nancy Pelosi is undeniably the stupidest Speaker Eveh.

  • Dumb and Dumber Predictions

Making 2012 Presidential predictions this early is stupid but making them based on asinine logic is even dumber.

A friend emailed this to me today and asked for my thoughts.

Here is a lead but the whole thing is worth the time just to witness the dumb-assery.

Sure, the New Hampshire primary for 2012 is still nearly thirty months away, but it makes no difference, since we’re ready to make this prediction:

The GOP nominee for president in 2012 will be one of these five would-be candidates: Newt Gingrich, Haley Barbour, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush or Michael Huckabee.

Notice who is missing from this mental Goliath’s list?

The most popular Republican in the country – Sarah Palin and the most qualified and least tainted Republican in the country – Bobby Jindal.

Here is the low down of each of this genius’s picks for 2012.

Newt Gingrich is the most brilliant and articulate conservative policy man in the country but he is more unelectable than Bob Dole. Bringing divorce papers to your wife’s hospital bed when she is battling cancer ain’t gonna fly anywhere.

Haley Barbour is a popular two-term southern governor who is competent, likable and very connected in the Republican Party. Barbour however has a history of being a hard hitting lobbyist back in the day and believe me by 2012 lobbyist will be the label of death. Also education and standard of living in Mississippi is not something that anyone wants for the whole country. Too bad because I like Barbour.

Mitt Romney couldn’t beat a fake Republican in 2008 and after everybody gets a taste of socialized medicine his failed Romney-care will rear its ugly head.

Mike Huckabee is a nice man and even has a show on Fox News. He is also an open borders, tax and spend RINO.

Jeb Bush is a bit more complicated. On the one hand no one in America named Bush could get 5% of the vote right now. However if Obama totally screws up the “Overseas Contingency Operations” the Bush brand would be revitalized.

Bottom line is this folks; it’s way too early to be making predictions (as Governor Sanford just showed us all).

  • Interesting Development on the Cap and Tax Legislation

Yesterday all the buzz (other than Mark Sanford’s wandering penis) was that the high priest of the cult of Global Warming was going to swoop into town the day before the House vote and magically ensure its passage.

Not so fast there Scooter. Apparently Nancy doesn’t want you.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said as the list of undecided lawmakers narrowed, she thought it was unnecessary to impose on former Vice President Gore’s schedule to travel to Washington when he could instead continue coordinating efforts from Tennessee.

“It was a question of what was energy efficient for the vice president,” Pelosi said at her weekly news conference Thursday, explaining the absence. “We were narrowing the list of the undecided and thought perhaps another occasion we could call upon his time to come here.”

Pelosi added that it was more energy efficient for Gore to continue coordinating efforts from Tennessee.

Senior Democratic sources told FOX News that in addition to the time commitment issue, they thought it was better if Gore worked the phones with targeted lawmakers. Gore is specifically reaching out to more liberal lawmakers who don’t think the bill goes far enough, the sources said.

But speculation is swirling that Gore’s presence would have been radioactive and could have caused more of a problem, a source told FOX News.

Perhaps she thinks Gore is a “toxic Asset”. He’s certainly an ass.

One theory is that Pelosi knows that it isn’t going to pass and she doesn’t want to tarnish the poster boy for this lunacy. I don’t believe this for one second.

Pelosi is a phenomenally stupid woman but she can count votes and she is the sole driving force behind ramming this steaming piece of shit to a floor vote. She is also from the heart of the enviro-wacko world.

My theory. Gore’s been punked and Pelosi is going to steal the environmental banner and march to the head of the cult of unwashed morons.

  • Sanford Quits RGA, It Was a Woman Afterall!

Chair of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) is no real big issue but then again neither is Mark Sanford now.

In other news, Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal just cracked a fresh beer.

  • Mark Sanford and Political Suicide

This story keeps getting weirder by the day and it has changed yet again.

The whereabouts of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford this past week just became a bit more curious, as if they hadn’t already stirred quite a bit of chatter in his home state and beyond.

Earlier this morning, Gina Smith, a reporter for The State newspaper in Columbia, S. C., acted on a tip and confronted the governor at the Atlanta airport as he deplaned from, uh, not the Appalachian Trail as his staff had finally disclosed on Monday night, but Buenos Aires.

In a short interview, he told Ms. Smith that he didn’t know why his staff said he was hiking, although he conceded that he had considered that activity as a way to take a break after a bruising legislative session ended last week.

“But I said ‘no’ I wanted to do something exotic,” Mr. Sanford told Ms. Smith. “… It’s a great city.”

The governor said he had been traveling alone. Ms. Smith said she asked him if he had been staying at a hotel, but he wouldn’t answer her question.

Update: Mr. Sanford’s spokesman, Joel Sawyer, just sent out a notice saying the governor would hold a news conference at 2 p.m. in the Statehouse.

And it will no doubt change again at the news conference.

I have a pretty good imagination but I can think of absolutely no good reason for all of this. At least any that could possibly salvage Sanford’s political career. In fact he has made enough enemies on both sides in South Carolina that he might find himself booted from office.

If a woman was involved, she had better be seriously HOT!

Mark my words, the media buzz word will be “Erratic” before the end of the day.

  • Friday Evening Inspiration

Something to remember before you start your weekend merriment. The person that you help could turn out to be an attorney that will only help you out later.

    Here’s the story:

A man and his wife were awakened at 3:00 am by a loud pounding on the door. The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push.

‘Not a chance,’ says the husband, ‘it is 3:00 in the morning!’

He slams the door and returns to bed.

‘Who was that?’ asked his wife.

‘Just some drunk guy asking for a push,’ he answers.

‘Did you help him?’ she asks.

‘No, I did not, it is 3:00 in the morning and it is pouring rain out there!’

‘Well, you have a short memory,’ says his wife. ‘Can’t you remember about three months ago when we broke down, and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!’

The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain.

He calls out into the dark, ‘Hello, are you still there?’

    ‘Yes,’ comes back the answer.

‘Do you still need a push?’ calls out the husband (soaking wet)

‘Yes, please!’ comes the reply from the dark.

‘Where are you?’ asks the husband.

‘Over here on the swing!’ replied the drunk.

  • The Only Thing that can stop this is Democrat Stupidity

The real question is can Obama lurch us irreversibly down the road toward Socialism before the incompetents in the Democrat Party derail his whole administration and send him down the “really shitty president” hole even further than Jimmy Carter?

If we are lucky over-reaching and Democrat dumb-assery will save us.

With Harry Reid running the Senate there seems to be hope.

(CNSNews.com) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) vowed Monday that the Senate would consider a “comprehensive” immigration reform bill that would include giving amnesty to illegal aliens—an item he referred to as “bringing the 11 million people out of the shadows.”

Reid said that Senate consideration of a massive new immigration bill would come after the Senate dealt with the health-care issue and energy.

The Senate is now looking at a national health-care plan being promoted by President Obama and legislation that would cap carbon emissions in the United States in the name of fighting “climate change.”

“I know that I talked to the White House, recognizing they were going to have a meeting, and gave them my ideas as to what should be the lay of the land on immigration,” Reid told reporters on Monday.

“I said in this room last week that I’ve got to do health care, I’ve got to do energy, and then I’m looking very closely at doing immigration,” Reid continued.

Lucky for our Republic Harry Reid is controlling the agenda because he is a damn fool and just may manage to blow up the Obama Socialism plan.

I wrote a warning last fall of what could happen if America voted for Barack Obama and delivered him a far-left Democrat controlled congress. I wrote then that three big campaign issues were nothing more than pandering; GITMO, Iraq/Afghanistan and gay issues. As it has turned out GITMO is apparently going nowhere, Iraq/Afghanistan is still cooking right along with the latter actually growing and though he threw a few crumbs at the gay community yesterday, DADT and DOMA are going nowhere.

The big Four objectives that I predicted Obama would attack immediately were nationalize the financial system, nationalize the energy industry with cap and trade, nationalize healthcare and immigration amnesty. It’s almost like Harry, Barry and the boys read my stuff.

The problem is that I went further and even laid out the strategy that would result in Democrat control for the next generation (albeit control of a greatly weakened and socialist country).

My recommendation was to gain momentum by accomplishing something big that could be guaranteed by using all the stimulus money to buy off the blue dogs and where you already have the support of the squishy RINOs; namely Immigration Amnesty. I realize it would have been controversial but it would have been a victory and added millions of generational Democrat voters.

With those voters secured the full-scale march to Socialism would be a cake walk.

Fortunately for freedom loving people, Harry and Barry are a couple of dumb asses and idiots tend to over-reach.

Taking over the car companies (screwing the bond holders and handing them over to the unions) was a seriously unpopular move. The political litmus test for putting generational family businesses in the crapper was also seen as little short of fascism.

Taking over banks was a bad idea; creating a “Pay Czar” was amazingly stupid.

Firing Inspectors General to protect your political allies smells of the Clinton flavor of abuse of power.

Democrats are already bailing on the nationalized healthcare and the Midwest Democrats are running from cap and trade. Even Tom Daschel is now against a single payer system. Cap and Trade is the biggest political liability. First because more and more people are beginning to realize that the whole AGW is a huge scam and more importantly it will hit their wallets hard and quickly. Energy (electricity, gasoline, natural gas, etc) will spike at least 30% within days. People who pay their own bills will not like this.

This could have easily been avoided by pushing amnesty first.

Now the agenda’s approvals (I know Barry is still up there with Babe Ruth and Ice Cream) are tanking and the congress critters are facing re-election with unemployment rising and inflation right around the corner; we may have hope yet.

I hate when all of hope rides on someone else’s incompetence.

  • Yes Mr. President, That’s a Rock and That’s a Hard Place

Everybody on the right seems very up in arms over the brutal events transpiring in Iran right now. I agree that it is certainly of concern but the Wall Street Journal (among many others) has came out and said the President should take action.

Having shown such courage, the demonstrators deserve Western support, not least from the media that have recently trumpeted the Mousavi candidacy as evidence of Iran’s openness and potential for reform, conciliation and so on. Whatever happens in the days ahead, the world has now seen the tyranny raw. The least we owe the protestors is not to look away.

That moral obligation goes especially for the Obama Administration. President Obama came to office promising the world’s dictators an open hand in exchange for an unclenched fist. But as with Kim Jong Il’s nuclear advances and the sham trial of two Americans in North Korea, Mr. Khamenei has repudiated the President’s diplomacy of friendly overture. It turns out that the “axis of evil” really is evil — and not, as liberal sages would have it, merely misunderstood.

The vote should prompt Mr. Obama to rethink his pursuit of a grand nuclear bargain with Iran, though early indications suggest he plans to try anyway. On Saturday, the New York Times quoted one unnamed senior Administration official to the effect that the election uproar would cause Mr. Ahmadinejad to be more receptive to Mr. Obama’s overtures as a sop to disgruntled public opinion. If the Administration really believes this, then Mr. Obama is the second coming of Jimmy Carter and the mullahs will play him for time to get their bomb.

That all sounds good but what specific “action” do you want the President to take?

I am not defending Obama; in fact, I think his general weakness probably emboldened the Iranian President to choose this course of action.

I looked everywhere I could think of and I discovered that while everyone is outraged and posting brutal photos and videos, I had trouble finding anyone with a suggested answer.

Then finally I found the transcript of a Fox News Sunday morning talk show where Bill Kristol finally answered my question.

KRISTOL: He should support the demonstrators. He should say that stealing elections is unacceptable, killing demonstrators in the streets of Tehran is unacceptable. He could work with the Europeans to say, “Let’s bring in international observers to review whether this was a fair election. If it wasn’t, let’s think about having another election.”

By saying “Europeans” he means the United Nations.

What if the Iranians say no? As they have for 30 years of ineffective bullshit from the “Europeans”.

What if they do exactly what the “reformist” Mousavi did in 1988? Namely drag about 30,000 malcontents out to the desert and blow their frigging brains out?

What then, Bill? Another strongly worded letter from the Security Council?

This would just make the United States look even weaker in the Arab world.

Look folks, this was always a choice between bad or worse and honestly bad won. Stop siding with these protesters! They are supporting a guy that makes I’madinnerjacket look mild.

Let’s try this in historical context. Suppose after Hitler invaded Poland he kept going and a major war broke out between Hitler and Stalin? Both maniacal dictators that held no problems with killing millions of their own citizens. Which side would you take?

Get over it people, Iran is not at a tipping point in terms of freedom and democracy. They are at a flash point of picking one murderous extreme Islamist over another one.

I’m sick of this outrage crap. Let the radicals kill each other and move on.

Besides, Obama is too busy socializing America to worry about this.
