With Obama leading the country toward Carter-Land as fast as he can surely he recalls the biblical ass whipping that Carter took when the American people were allowed to cast their opinion of the buffoon.

So, how is Obama planning to avoid the same pathetic fate?

Atlanta – “The decision by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to deny preclearance of Georgia’s already implemented citizenship verification process shows a shocking disregard for the integrity of our elections. With this decision, DOJ has now barred Georgia from continuing the citizenship verification program that DOJ lawyers helped to craft. DOJ’s decision also nullifies the orders of two federal courts directing Georgia to implement the procedure for the 2008 general election. The decision comes seven months after Georgia requested an expedited review of the preclearance submission.

“DOJ has thrown open the door for activist organizations such as ACORN to register non-citizens to vote in Georgia’s elections, and the state has no ability to verify an applicant’s citizenship status or whether the individual even exists. DOJ completely disregarded Georgia’s obvious and direct interest in preventing non-citizens from voting, instead siding with the ACLU and MALDEF. Clearly, politics took priority over common sense and good public policy.

“This process is critical to protecting the integrity of our elections. We have evidence that non-citizens have voted in past Georgia elections and that more than 2,100 individuals have attempted to register, yet still have questions regarding their citizenship. Further, the Inspector General’s office is investigating more than 30 cases of non-citizens casting ballots in Georgia elections, including the case of a Henry County non-citizen who registered to vote and cast ballots in 2004 and 2006.

“It is important to underscore that not a single person has come forward to say he or she could not vote because of the verification process. Further, while DOJ argues that the process is somehow discriminatory, the historic voter turnout among Hispanic and African-American voters in the 2008 general elections clearly says otherwise.

“This decision provides a specific example of the inherently illogical and unfair nature of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. It is a sad day for the rights of our state and for the integrity of our elections. I remain committed to continuing the fight for citizenship verification. In the coming days, I will consider every option available to the state, including the possibility of legal action.”

So the Obama DOJ dropped the case against the New Black Panthers that were clearly in violation of federal election law and then opened the door the greatest voter fraud scheme in history.

The cynical phrases “Vote early — and often” and “Vote early — and vote often” are variously attributed to three different Chicagoans: Al Capone, the famous gangster; Richard J. Daley, mayor from 1955 to 1976; and William Hale Thompson, mayor from 1915-1923 and 1931-1935. All three were notorious for their corruption and their manipulation of the democratic process. We all know about the 50+ “Blue Dog” Democrats who would be committing political suicide by supporting this overt socialist attack on the best health care system in the world. In fact, without a bribery of biblical proportions, the Dems can count at least 35-40 of these folks bailing. But that’s enough to kill it.

This, according to the Huffington Post, is enough to kill it.

Progressive Democrats are taking a hard stand on health care reform, with a majority committing to oppose any health care reform package that doesn’t include a robust public option. On Wednesday, they got an inadvertent assist by an anonymous leak of their “whip list.”

A whip list, which is generally tightly guarded, is used by congressional leaders to keep track of the private pledges made by members before a vote. The list is kept private to encourage frank answers from members so that leadership can gather accurate intelligence.

The whip list was obtained by Joan McCarter, a DailyKos contributing editor. It names fifty members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) who have firmly pledged to oppose any bill that doesn’t meet the group’s standards.

Without those fifty votes, Democrats would be unable to pass the reform effort without Republican support. (Once Judy Chu is sworn in, there will be 256 Democrats, and one “closet Democrat”; 218 are needed for passage, leaving Democrats 12 votes short.)

The closet Democrat that these idiots speak of is the RINO who replaced good old “Cold Cash” Jefferson in New Orleans, Joseph Cao. Cao has zero chance of being re-elected if he remains a Republican and less than a 10% chance if he flips to the Dems so this is little more than Cao grasping at straws. After all he won the seat over an indicted, corrupt felon by a count of 33,132 to 31,318. Jefferson’s support was of course 100% race based. Unless Vietnam invades New Orleans, he is a one and out Congressman.

But I digress.

The Blue Dogs don’t like this because they think it will appear like a Socialist grab and the Progressives are pissed that it isn’t Socialist enough.

This is a big problem (if true) for Barry, Rahm and the boys. There is no way in hell to satisfy both of these caucuses through this legislation. So one group will ultimately be appeased and the other will have to be bought.

This POS may actually die before the Socialists can ram it through.

Crazy old Uncle Joe. The Washington Post has a copy of a speech he’s supposed to give in Virginia today.

Vice President Biden plans a political broadside this afternoon in the home district of Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), accusing the senior Republican lawmaker of joining in his party’s smear of the $787 billion Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

“To those who say that our economic decisions ‘have not produced jobs, have not produced prosperity, and simply have not worked’ I say, take a look around,” Biden will say, according to prepared remarks obtained by The Washington Post.

“I say, ‘Don’t let your opposition to the Recovery Act blind you to its results,’” Biden plans to say in the Richmond speech. “‘Come see what I see everywhere I go: workers rehired, factories reopened, cops on the street, teachers in the classroom, progress toward getting our economy back on the move.’”

It’s probably not fair to put Biden in the same category with this conspiracy obsessed lunatic.

Biden is just garden variety stupid.

WASHINGTON, July 14 (Reuters) – A sweeping overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system to be announced on Tuesday in the U.S. House of Representatives will include a surtax on millionaires of 5.4 percent, congressional sources said.

The tax rate is higher than the 3 percent surtax lawmakers had been discussing earlier and would be imposed on those making more than $1 million a year, the sources said.

Now let’s review how this would impact employment and do so immediately.

Let’s say you own three above average performing Church’s Fried Chicken franchises in Texas. In this case, you are a millionaire; not a George Soros or Barbara Streisand kind of millionaire but a millionaire nonetheless.

Now Charlie Rangel and the gang of brain dead socialists running congress decide to hit you with a 5.4% surcharge to pay for the destruction of the best health care system in the world.

Of course you won’t get any sympathy from the unwashed masses because you are the evil rich. You’ll just have to suck it up right?

“Not so fast there Scooter”, you say “I didn’t get here by lottery. I worked my ass off to get here!”

So you break out the calculator. You realize that this new tax is going to cost you about $50K a year.

Being a small business owner and infinitely more intelligent than Charlie Rangel, you quickly come to a solution.

You fire three minimum wage workers and pocket the remaining $5K.

Every small business “millionaire” in America will do exactly the same thing within 48 hours of this POS bill being signed!

So what’s the end state of this Democrat class envy scheme? Our health care in shambles, an unemployment spike of 3 points overnight and crappy service at my local Church’s. These people are going to regret screwing with my chicken.

First let me voice my humble opinion.

Judge Sotomayor is a race baiting, gun grabbing, anti-property rights, anti-Constitutional, intellectually lazy, feminazi. Every accomplishment in her life since potty training has been a direct result of PC thinking and affirmative action.

Having said that, understand this; she will get appointed. Period End of story.

This is a matter of picking your fights.

There is absolutely nothing Republicans can do to stop this abomination and shouldn’t waste a bunch of time trying. In fact, maybe they should vote unanimously to support her.

Here’s my reasoning. She won’t be any worse that the assclown she’s replacing so the damage is actually minimal.

Killing Cap and Trade and nationalized health care in the senate is far more important. Showing a little bi-partisanship on this will give some cover for the Democrats in the senate that we will need to kill these economy killers.

Besides listening to Schumer and Leahy is making me physically ill.

I’m sure you are all aware of the bombshell announcement that CIA Director Leon Penetta recently made declaring that a super secret CIA program has been terminated. For days speculation gushed forward about the nature of the program and the possible involvement of then Vice President Cheney.

The New York Times (never missing an opportunity to expose a national secret and endanger our nation) described the program this way.

The Bush administration has prepared a list of terrorist leaders the Central Intelligence Agency is authorized to kill, if capture is impractical and civilian casualties can be minimized, senior military and intelligence officials said.

The previously undisclosed C.I.A. list includes key Qaeda leaders like Osama bin Laden and his chief deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, as well as other principal figures from Al Qaeda and affiliated terrorist groups, the officials said. The names of about two dozen terrorist leaders have recently been on the lethal-force list, officials said. “It’s the worst of the worst,” an official said.

President Bush has provided written legal authority to the C.I.A. to hunt down and kill the terrorists without seeking further approval each time the agency is about to stage an operation. Some officials said the terrorist list was known as the “high-value target list.” A spokesman for the White House declined to discuss the list or issues involving the use of lethal force against terrorists. A spokesman for the C.I.A. also declined to comment on the list.

Despite the authority given to the agency, Mr. Bush has not waived the executive order banning assassinations, officials said. The presidential authority to kill terrorists defines operatives of Al Qaeda as enemy combatants and thus legitimate targets for lethal force.
