Breitbart got the money quote in paragraph two.

President Barack Obama said Wednesday there will be no vote on his proposed reforms of the US healthcare system before autumn, a setback that is costing him more political capital with each passing day.

“This bill, even in the best-case scenario, will not be signed — we won’t even vote on it probably until the end of September or the middle of October,” he said in a session here to muster public support for the reforms.

I think we can now say that this motley crew of malicious morons are officially just throwing shit against the wall.

When a crisis happens competent people focus, amateurs panic and believe me this is starting to look like the gang that couldn’t shoot straight or more aptly, the gang that couldn’t count its balls twice and get the same number.

So what’s the panic? I mean a real crisis not this made-up crap they keep trying to inflame.

Maybe it’s this most recent Wall Street Journal Poll.

In the new poll, conducted July 24 to July 27, 42% called it a bad idea while 36% said it was a good idea.

Among those with insurance, the proportion calling the plan a bad idea rose to 47% from 37%.

The declining popularity of health-care overhaul appeared to be fueled by rising anxiety over the federal budget deficit and concerns over the role of government in determining personal medical decisions.

Mr. Obama, in response, is shifting his pitch to consumer protection and new rules on insurance companies, part of a bid to win over Americans who already have coverage.

This is important because Obama bought off the AMA promising a bonus on Medicare reimbursements. He bought off the AARP by basically promising to make it an unregulated insurance company. And yet the folks are turning on this like Michael Vick on a dog that won’t fight.

Now Obama’s lips were moving when he said October so it’s difficult to tell if there is a grain of truth in it. However, if this is pushed back to October, it is dead.

October begins the campaigning for real for the 2010 congressional elections. Any “blue dog” supporting it that late should be getting their resumes together. But that’s not Barry and Rahm’s real problem if this thing goes that late.

The magic compromise that got the blue dogs in line earlier today was a promise of no mandatory government option. This may prove to be problematic.

Over 80 socialists in the “Progressive” caucus signed a pledge in May promising that they would not support any healthcare legislation that did not include a robust mandatory government option.

Historically, blue dogs can be bought off but those progressives are the true ideological socialists and far more difficult to deal with. This is largely because not only are they raging bat shit lunatics but they represent districts full of brain dead socialists.

Of course everything I just wrote is already fully ensconced in the pinhead of Rahm Emanuel and we are all aware that this man is capable of almost anything.

Interesting times in deed.

From Stalin airbrushing comrades from official Soviet history to Hitler arresting or killing the allies that brought him to power to Saddam Hussein murdering a full third of the Iraqi Parliament within hours of attaining power, it’s always the same story. These people can sense weakness and attack their own when they sense an opportunity.

This kind of reminds me of the infamous Baxter-Lopez affair. Many years ago when I was still an NCO in 1st Ranger Battalion we were wrapping up a training exercise in California, Camp Parks I think.

Anyway, we all got a 24 hour pass before heading back to Savannah. So the next morning we are all sitting on a tarmac waiting on C141’s to pick us up when suddenly about a dozen cop cars come screaming on the scene and promptly arrest two Rangers for a heinous attack they perpetrated the night before.

They attacked a nurse. Raped her, shot her and dumped her body off a bridge. Miraculously, she lived and managed to drag her bloodied body, barely clinging to life, back to the roadway and was spotted by a passing off-duty EMT.

Baxter and Lopez were fingered rapidly and then turned on each other even faster. They are both still serving life in San Quentin.

Why is this story relevant?

Because these two savages would likely have walked had they just killed the woman who provided the only link that this crime was committed by Rangers.

Has Obama made the same mistake? It is certainly starting to look that way. The Obama-Emanuel Chicago poli-syndicate tossed Howard Dean under the bus in much the same way that those Rangers did that young nurse off a bridge.

In political terms they ravaged him just as the nurse was tortured. Dean was given no voice on the platform, no primetime speech, no cabinet position, not even an ambassadorship to some far away, insignificant post; and apparently he’s just a bit pissed about it.

Subbing for Keith Olberman, Dean took Obama to task.

Here was Dean in his show opening monologue.

HOWARD DEAN: No public option? No employer mandate? Why bother? Is President Obama slowly losing the health care fight?

Later, chatting with Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Chair of the Dem Congressional Campaign Committee, Dean dealt the unkindest cut of all.

DEAN: Chris, voters were promised “change they can believe in.” Are you concerned about what may happen to our party in 2010 or 2012 if we don’t get any change at all?

Ouch! I think Howie is really pissed. And, you what? He should be.

Don’t get me wrong, Howard Dean is teetering dangerously close to a full blown Communist and he strikes me as a little on the wacko side but in shear political terms he earned a hell of a lot more respect than the Chicago machine has shown him.

Dean took the reins of the DNC at its lowest point from the disastrous DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe. The Republicans had just re-elected a President and maintained control of both houses of Congress. In slightly less than four years Dean reversed the dynamic 180 degrees.

Dean led the Democrat Party to take back both houses of Congress by huge majorities and the Presidency in one term. History will view him as the most effective DNC Chairman since the Johnson administration.

Obama has not silenced Dean who is still a very beloved figure in the Daily Kos and Democrat Underground hippie communities.

Every time Obama fails in another effort toward Socialism Dean gets stronger and the far left will start to peel off and support him.

Bottom Line: Angie Harmon is smokin’ hot. Last time I met a conservative woman that hot I married her! End of discussion.

Now on to the train wreck that is the Democrat congress and this rush to socialized medicine.

Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel both publicly boasted that the House would pass the bill before the August break. Looks like that ain’t going to happen. Apparently the blue dogs are more stubborn (or more likely expensive) than either of these Marxists anticipated.

Harry Reid killed the hope of a rush passage in the senate a week ago. This of course has nothing to do with his legislative prowess. This is about him trying to keep his job. He is up for reelection in 2010 and is tanking in internal Nevada polls.

I think the biggest mistake these clowns made was over stating the crisis. The overwhelming majority of Americans think we have the best healthcare in the world and are actually quite happy with their particular coverage. The mythical 46 million uninsured never quite took hold either. That’s because it’s a totally bullshit number that includes illegal aliens, unicorns and straight people at the Folsom Street Fair.

If you tear through a wall in my house to rescue me from a fire, that’s cool. If however you do the same thing to kill a fly, we’re going to have issues.

I’m torn over how to feel about the fact that these incompetent jackasses couldn’t shove this white hot cattle brand up our asses before the August break.

On the one hand it definitely stalls the momentum for getting this thing done and exposes a huge weakness in the Obama camp. On the other hand these clowns would be on record voting for the biggest lurch to Socialism in US history. That would certainly make for some entertaining events back home in the district.

So what’s ultimately going to happen? With this group of morons running the show, who the hell knows. But here are the possibilities:

First, this will not pass in its current state or anything remotely close to its current state. This will piss off the far left but Obama doesn’t care because these Marxist will whine and blog and threaten but ultimately vote for Obama again.

The most likely outcome will be a bill so watered down that it fails to accomplish anything of substance other than wasteful spending. This would also piss off the left but it would give a little cover to Obama.

Of course it is possible that Obamacare goes the way of Hillarycare and explodes under the sheer weight of its own stupidity. If this happens Cap and Trade is done, there won’t be a second stimulus and Obama is done. Oh and he will face a primary challenge in 2012.

A really effective apology is usually not a simple task. This is particularly true when the point of the apology is a response to an overt condescension and “stupidly” is condescending.

As difficult as this can be I had no doubt that Obama would hit a homerun with it. After all this man has apologized around the world for events that occurred before he was born. Think about it, you have to be a damn good apologist to apologize to the Germans for kicking their ass in World War II.

Of course the key to a good apology is sincerity and the President truly believes that American Exceptionalism is a myth.

So, why was this “apology” so twisted and flat?

Because it wasn’t sincere. Obama’s first reaction at the press conference was a glimpse into a core value of Black Theology teaching. Twenty years of sitting in the congregation of open racism and anti-Americanism can build these values. Remember the “America is a down right mean country” and “for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country” comments that Michelle Obama said during the campaign? These were not slips, they are at the very core of Black Theology.

So far this incident has taken two days of health reform stumping from the President and if Gates decides he wants a few minutes of fame, it could consume next week. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Reverend Wright indirectly derailed the charge to nationalize medicine?

Mr. Obama, your chickens are coming home to roost!

I have always pretty much played by the rules although as Jonn can attest I have always operated as close to the edge as I could get without actually violating a regulation.

I always prided myself on being able to find a loophole in a safety reg or a range control policy or whatever. Loopholes are hard to find because in most cases it enables someone to do something that was clearly not intended. Usually I would do this to allow me to more effectively train my men but occasionally I did it just to be a smart ass.

Then there are loopholes that are put there intentionally to cover the ass of whoever wrote the policy. This is the cowardly technique used by slimy lawyers.

Behold a classic case in point:

WASHINGTON – Six months in office, President Barack Obama sought to rally support for sweeping health care legislation Wednesday night as Congress struggled to find agreement on a historic overhaul. He vowed to reject any measure “primarily funded through taxing middle-class families.”

Remember during the campaign Obama promised over and over again that the middle class would not see “one single dime” in higher taxes?

That did not include the caveat “Primarily”, did it?

The M1 Abrams tank is 67.6 tons and it is 8 feet tall, 12 feet wide and 32 feet long.

You could drive a task force full of these things through a loophole as big as this.

In my last post I noted that the wacko birther “lawyer” claims to have over 170 officers on board. It made me wonder why she doesn’t claim any NCO’s?

It reminded me of this story from a SOCOM Plans BUB (Battle Update Brief). As best as I can recall, it went something like this…

A U.S. Army Colonel was about to start the morning briefing to his staff. While waiting for the coffee machine to finish its brewing, the Colonel decided to pose a question to all assembled.

He explained that his wife had been a bit frisky the night before and he failed to get his usual amount of sound sleep.

He posed the question of just how much of sex was “work” and how much of it was “pleasure?”

A Lieutenant Colonel from the EOC chimed in with 75-25% in favor of work.

A Major plans officer (and expert slide bitch) said it was more like 50-50%.

A Captain responded with 25-75% in favor of pleasure, depending upon his state of inebriation at the time.

There being no consensus, the Colonel turned to the Master Sergeant who was in
charge of the war room. What was HIS opinion?

Without any hesitation, the Master Sergeant responded, “Sir, it has to be 100% pleasure.”

The Colonel was surprised and, as you might guess, asked why?

“Well, sir, if there was any real work involved, the officers would have me doing it for them.”

The room fell silent.

Feel free to discuss; I have work to do.

Look, this is not just hit-whoring (though you know I’m not above it), I think it’s solid career advice.

Is there something going on with Obama’s birth certificate? Maybe. I mean who on God’s green earth would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to hide a document that you need to produce to get into Little League?

But here’s the thing. If you are a military officer, it does not matter. Stay in your lane and shut up before you ruin your career and cause great pain for yourself and your families. This 15 minutes ain’t worth it and frankly as officers you should be above this kind of self-serving crap.

Aside from all of that, there’s this little matter of Article 88 of the UCMJ:

“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

Elements.

(1)That the accused was a commissioned officer of the United States armed forces;

(2) That the accused used certain words against an official or legislature named in the article;

(3) That by an act of the accused these words came to the knowledge of a person other than the accused; and

(4) That the words used were contemptuous, either in themselves or by virtue of the circumstances under which they were used.

Now the issue is whether the statements by these officers were “contemptuous”.
Here’s a couple of samples beyond the Major who volunteered for combat service for the sole purpose of attacking his Commander in Chief with ZERO evidence.

First we have a seasoned Lieutenant:

“Until Mr. Obama releases a ‘vault copy’ of his original birth certificate for public review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my President, but rather, a usurper to the Office — an impostor,” 1st Lt. Scott R. Easterling states in his letter published at Defendourfreedoms.com.

Not enough? Okay, here’s an Air Force Reserve Flight Surgeon’s letter to the Secretary of Defense:

Once again I find myself at a loss of words to try to explain the abject and total dismay I have at the administration to include the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to allow the painful division now occurring in our military to proceed unabated. I hope that do not need to remind you that you as well took an Oath to support and defend the Constitution. As a point of honor you are either willing to do this or you are not. If you are not then preserve your honor, resign and let someone who cares more about us than that do what is right.

I again respectfully implore you to act within your powers and help us. It is absolutely true and is my Prayer to my Creator to allow me to suffer the slings and arrows of being thought a fool rather than to have my convictions realized that persons of responsibility have allowed through negligence to have the Office of the President of the United States to be USURPED; it is self evident however, that whatever the outcome we must know the truth.

WTF? What are you asking the SecDef to do? Militarily overthrow the President?

The common lawyer of all of these officers is Orly Taitz; a dentist cum attorney via the internet. Ms Taitz claims to have over 170 officers that she has received consent letters from.

That’s 170 officers who are either too selfish, too political or too stupid to be officers.
