Another Wedding Poser

Ok it has been awhile but I figured that this was worth the time. Granted with the poser bar being raised on a daily bases, I am not sure it will have the same “Shock and Awe” as some of our others phonies. But it should be enough to give a general WTF theme going on here. I present you newest Wedding Poser: Daron Soard.

Ok, lets see. Here he is wearing a Ranger Tab on BOTH shoulders. His Rack is completely out of order. In there I see a Afghanistan Campaign Medal, but no Combat Stripes on the right arm. Also according to his Facebook page he is a Scout and is Airborne certificated.

POWNETWORK have been following him since October of last year. But I considering the photos of his way out of regulation uniform would be worth writing about.

Update:Seems that he also has a criminal history too.

  3. Hey Hondo, your right about the Sheridan’s at FT Bragg. My unit shared a motor pool with those guys back in the mid 80’s. They also had a Sheridan hang up in the back of a C-130 during a LAPSE ?? It caused the C-130 to crash on Sicily DZ. What a friggin mess that was !

Talk about under appreciated, AF weather is up there. Only job I know of where you are expected to be right 100% of the time, and never can be. My job is vital, and no one fakes it. Infantry don’t march, tanks don’t roll, and planes don’t fly, (or shouldn’t at least) without my input to the commander. I’m not complaining, I’m glad I don’t have to see someone trying to be me. But here’s a thought, let the punishment fit the crime, don’t send them to jail, send them to war, let them earn their stolen valor.

@ 32 Hondo. Would you please explain to me how you could be an airborne tanker? Is it like that movie the “A-Team”? Amtracs are made of aluminum and they couldn’t drop them with a parachute!?

Looks like he scrubbed his FB, funny, one of the photos has a comment from TAH and he didn’t scrub that…Must not be that bright to leave his FB page “open”….

@Yat Yas 1833….Spend five minutes on the net to read about the Sheridan unit that was here at Bragg…They would LAPES (low altitude parachute extraction system) out the back of 130’s, crews would jump right after extraction from in-bounds…. .MSG Retired, I remember that and yes it was a mess, not as much though when I was a Green Ramp when the 16 crashed though…

@SrA Tom – Now why would you want to do that to a group of warfighters who don’t deserve to be saddled with a shitbird?

Yat Yas 1833: He’re how it was done, amigo:

As noted above, the crew parachuted separately as soon afterwards as possible and linked up with the vehicle on the ground.

Guys a piece of work. Im betting he doesn’t have kjd either.Seems like there is a huge trend in posers to not only claim service/medals but to also have some incurable disease that the VA is screwing them over on.

This clown needs a cold steel beatdown.

  12. Concerned Vet turned Cop

The tuscola County Judge in Caro Michigan is working with the prosecutor and the JAG Office in Lansing to see if he has violated 18 USC § 702, and if charges are brought (The judge and prosecutor are both vets) they are looking at modifying his probation to a bit of grey bar hotel time. As well as investigating to see if he used his “service record” to con anyone into giving him discounts on his wedding such as flowers, catering, and so on. So far the investigation into the discounts could snowball into a fraud or larceny by conversion case. The investigation has turned up no record of a DD-214 for him and no RE3 or RE4 discharge either. Just a little inside info…… keep up the good work.

    shhhhhhhh no one can know

  14. Concerned Vet turned Cop

It began with a concerned cop forwarding this link to a crafty prosecutor…… keep up the good work….. BTW following your conversation about dropping cav equipment I saw a special on Millitary marvels at one point about them doing that and having the crew jump after But it seems like they said the idea was abandoned when they lightened up the the APC during vietnam by building them of Aluminum and the advent of the CH-47 in 1962 and the later upgrades which allow it to carry 17,000 lbs on the center hook

  15. Well we cannot take the credit for this since he was originally reported by POW.network.

There were ABN tankers at Bragg with the 82nd. Sheridan’s (not a real tank, they were armored fast recon something or another….. 19K MOS. The unit was 3rd BN, 73rd ABN AR. My step father (SGT) was a TC in Bco and his best friend was also a TC in Bco. The unit was disbanded sometime around the early 90’s just as the Javelin system was be introduced. The story we were told is that with the Javelin, we did not need the “tanks”. 20 tons of steel clanking toward you is one hell of sound. Myself, 24 years doing Infantry stuff.
