Wednesday morning feel good story

Folks in Georgia are marginally safer this morning thanks to a homeowner there;

The man said he was asleep when someone kicked in the front door of his house on Kings Glen Drive around 11 a.m. The homeowner said he grabbed a gun and went to see what happened, then realized that someone was inside.

“The male heard the entry of the suspect, retrieved a firearm and confronted him in the home,” DeKalb County Police Capt. Steve Fore said.

As the suspect ran to his car, the homeowner shot at him, police said.

“As he was getting into the vehicle, the homeowner reported that it appeared he was reaching for something in the vehicle, and in fear, (he) fired his weapon,” Fore said.

Officers arrested the suspect at a nearby Texaco gas station on Panthersville Road. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. No one else was injured.
