I am a retired Defense Intel Agency Officer who was seriously injured during an IED. One of my team was a Marine gysgt.. he pulled me out of the burning vehicle.. through terrible gunfire from taliban. I was hit again but he was hit so bad he struggled to help me..last thing I remember is him whispering I got you Major. I passed out and from what others told me he was hit in the head..killing him. I will never ever allow anyone to say a negative thing about Marines.. never. This man was to me the ultimate Marine.. one who guards and refuses to give in. May the Gods of War shield him through eternity.
