Mountain Warfare training

A video from Fox News about Mountain Warfare Training in California;

I met some of the guys at the Mountain Warfare Training Center when it was at Camp Ethan Allen in Vermont when I taught ROTC at UVM. They’re a sturdy, fearless bunch.

  1. Did the USMC MWTC Cold Weather Survival Course in 1995. Grade A instructors. Awesome opportunity. Got to eat beaver. And coyote.

    I am awe-struck by this training and the military who go through it and survive it. . . .

    Jonn- When were you at UVM…we might know some of the same people…

      I was at UVM from May ’88 until Saddam invaded Kuwait. I lived in Saint Albans, though. Burlington was too liberal, gay and expensive.

    Well, Close… but no cigar…Friend of mine was there for about 4 years in the 2000’s…(how do you even write that?) Uncle J knows him…we chatted one night on the VFF tour and imagine that we knew the same guy! Small world in any case.
