Scottie sends us his work on this Michael Joseph Grassie fellow who told Newsweek in a 2007 article about the time he was shot by a student in his classroom that he was in the Beirut barracks bombing (October 23rd, 1983) and earned a Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart;
Well, as you can guess, that’s not true. He started boot camp five days after the bombing;
He spent two and a half years in the Marine Corps and then he got an OTH discharge and was kicked to the curb, according to Scottie.
