“…and on earth peace to men of good will.”
There *is* a difference, but we always hear only “goodwill toward man.”
The original Latin:
Glória in excélsis Deo et in terra pax homínibus bonæ voluntátis.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men of good will.

True. However, I was simply using the King James Version of Luke 2:4-14. The Catholic Latin version is different, but my choice was between the KJV and NIV, and I chose the one I was more familiar with.

Great chow at the Lackland AFB chow hall. Yum, Yum.
CHRISTMAS DAY, a day people have lost the reason we celebrate. Its about our King being born in a barn surrounded by animals….its not about what to get who for Christmas.
We served the homeless and poor families a Turkey dinner with smiles on OUR faces at the Salvation Army. A yearly event.
After cleanup, we went home, loaded up two rides with two crock pots of hot vegetable soup. We borrowed two Hugh coffee makes, one for coffee, the other hot chocolate. Sandwiches, a candy bar, motel sized bars of soap, shampoo, TO, kleenex, coffee, sugar were put in donated brown bags.
Cups, spoons, bowls, sugar, etc, was donated throughout the year. We headed to a area homeless people stay since its secured, security donated by trusting friends. The area is owned by the most giving person I’ve ever met. I’ve known him all my life.
The people who gather here are the ones who refuse to ask for our States help. After every pot was empty, we gathered so they could pray. After the last blessing and we headed to our rides, the head of security asked us to come back for a second.
We were gifted with a $2,000 gift card and I cried. We can’t accept this, donate it to a center. No, we all put half of our recycling money in a can with enough duct tape and Tom, head of security kept track of donations in this book for the last year. Use it for your family. I took the book, card and said “We’ll use the book to keep track of everything we buy for next years Christmas that we don’t get enough donations of”. The looks on their faces was like I hurt their feeling. We got it for your family. Well, that settles that, your also our family…hugs and went home
It didn’t take long to figure out we had more FRIENDS that we liked JUST BECAUSE. THIS morning, we started going to fast food places, etc, asking to donate for next year. The storage unit looks empty but by summer….
