Looking for a war they can end

With the Iraq War ending without any help from them, the Veterans for Peace are arbitrarily searching for a war which they can influence the outcome, apparently.

Maybe they’d like to reverse the outcome of the Spanish-American War or  protest the rescue of the Czech Legion, too.

I got some piece or pieces in Korea about the time Playboy Mag called Korea the military’s hidden paradise of the world. Send me back (to Korea), at taxpayer expense, please.

Please tell me this is a joke, a parady, a spoof of the anti-war crowd.

  3. Check out the sickly pale leg-black sock combo for Grizzly Adams on the right. That’s should be enough sex appeal to sell any message!

VFP loves to trot out some Abraham Lincoln Brigade vets from time to time.

The ALB got “Stop Lossed” but you won’t hear the VFP or IVAW whine about it. And I’m pretty sure it wasn’t in their “contract”. They were told they’d be going for a year, but when that date arrived, they were kept another 6 months.

  5. Raoul,

I didn’t know that there was a military presence in the Spanish civil war, so you learn something new everyday, thanks. But at first, judging by the facial hair stylings of the dude on the right, I thought you were referring to some Civil War-era military guy with crazy chops like this.

Jonn wrote: The ALB were volunteers not officially sanctioned by the US government. They fought with the Stalin-supported Spanish communists (like the main character in Hemmingway’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls”). Of, course that’s why they support the VFP.

The ABL types protested the USA’s support of Britain against Nazi Germany. So it’s fitting that they hang with the VFP who also support America’s enemies.

This has GOT to be a joke. If it isn’t, it’s scary that these old fools are allowed to vote…or procreate.

“it’s scary that these old fools are allowed to vote…or procreate.”

    You have it exactly correct!
