Don and Dianne make the trip to South Carolina to confront Robert Gilbert, another phony SEAL who was a sniper in Cambodia and Laos, fought in hand-to-hand combat with our enemies (because snipers always get close enough to bop someone on the noggin), took out Vietnamese generals. The poor guy was never recognized with medals and decorations, because all of his work was for the CIA.
Gilbert’s real records say he was a damagecontrolman in the Navy and left as an E-5.
He tells Don that we can’t find his records because of the nature of his secret work – it’s so secret that Robert can go around and tell church groups all about it;
