Don sends us an anatomy of a bust with Devin Davis another tattooed phony;

devin davisddd

This was his Twitter profile before he met Don Shipley. Don wants you to notice the rather prophetic “Thou shall not lie” tattoo on his chest;

Devin Davis before

Then came this exchange;

Devin Davis Twitter bust

Now his account looks like this;

Devin Davis After

Remember to always get your screen shots BEFORE you confront them.

    What a piece of shit loser. Happy hunting to whoever finds him on facebook!

  2. The Lurker Formally Known as Curt

    Dumbass…

  3. Ex-PH2

    I swear in that Twitter screen shot, it looks like DDDevin is either wearing no shorts at all, or wearing a banana hammock, because it looks like he’s a fan of exhibitionism.

  4. Combat Historian

    A lightweight facebook phoney…

  5. rb325th

    Someone posted his facebook profile in the comments under the second photo above. In one photo you can see the edge of that massive unearned Trident dumbass tattooed on his forearm. He is wearing an “Army” t-shirt… guess he is one of those rare Army SEALs.

  6. An update from Don;

    He just called me… The whole thing was a mistake… The Tattoo was a tribute.

    He told me he spent a week at BUD/S… You can’t make this shit up…

    Don

  7. 3/17 air cav

    @5………total disrespect for all Army Seals

  8. Sparks

    Thank you and way to go Don Shipley. Glad you are “on guard”.

  9. Toasty Coastie

    Oh my…Seems when you have that all important tat, you are legit…well, until you get outed, then its a “tribute”..smh..

  10. MSGRetired

    I guess we cant see the Penis Tattoo he is hiding on his forehead, under the pretty blue swim cap ..

  11. A Proud Infidel

    Anyone wanna bet he’ll try to lay low and come right back out with his con game?

  12. Mustang2LT

    PENDEJO!

  13. Old Trooper

    @6: A question: Why the fuck would you get a big ass tattoo of a Trident, Green Beret Crest, etc. as a “tribute” if you never served in one of those high speed units, or you never had a loved one that served in one of those units (and then you would probably have their name on that same tattoo)? It’s not like it’s going to disappear after a couple of years. Are you hoping that if you rock the lie long enough, you can get people who don’t know you to believe your bullshit? Also, he has the Army tattoo on his fucking chest; is that a tribute, too? Gaddam ass monkey!

  14. Brownwolf

    @12 Mustang2LT,

    I’m with the Mustang2LT, regarding Devin Davis:

    ORALE CABRON! A LA CHINGADA CON TU CULO BUEY!!!

    I need to brush up on my Spanish swear words!

  15. Toasty Coastie

    A question for All…
    I have my husband’s and my dad’s wings, unit numbers and dates etc. tattooed on my lower back…had shorts on the other day and was berated by some jackass saying it was a “tramp stamp” whatever the hell that is, and that I should be ashamed for dishonouring the Military with it…I was stunned..still am frankly…I thought I was honouring my dad and husband with this tattoo…is it disrespectful in its placement or even just having it?

  16. Frankly, I think a belt sander and some sulfuric acid would be a nice change of pace for this asshole.

  17. CB Senior

    Are those his Olympic Gold Medals for Men’s figure skating.

  18. rb325th

    @17 no, those are his gold medals for felching at the San Francisco All Gay Olympic Games.

  19. EODJay

    Coastie, I don’t see any problem with that. It’s not like you’re claiming it for you and as long as it’s evident that you aren’t, no issue.

    Anywho, this cat is a tool bag and should have his nuts pulled off.

  20. @17: CB Senior, I was wondering the same thing. My first thought was that those are Special Olympics medals, but I have volunteered at Special Olympics events in the past and I have a lot of respect for those kids. To get out there with their various disadvantages and compete, they have some balls. Not like this dropping.

  21. Green Thumb

    @15.

    Love the handle.

    This guy is piece of shit.

  22. Toasty Coastie

    @20 Thank you Green Thumb *smiles*

  23. Seadog

    @15, Toasty Coasty…. Are you claiming them as your own? And attesting that you owned them personally? If not, you’re probably ok.
    Personally, I think you should post a pic of the offending tattoo for a definitive answer.

  24. Sparks

    @15 Toasty Coastie, welcome here. Don’t let anyone scare you here. Just all teddy bears at heart really. 😀

  25. Toasty Coastie

    @22 Seadog~
    No never…they are for my husband and dad..Generally I don’t show it at all, but wsa putting groceries in the car and shirt came up abit…I imagine that’s how he saw it…its a personal thing for me..I will get a pic and ask the Admin if that would be ok to show you. Thank you for answering me…it really has been bugging me..not that I can do anything to change it at this point…

    @23 Sparks
    Thank you! *smiles* I will do my best not to let any one scare me off..

  26. Aw, Christ, I think I know this kid

    If this is the same Devin Davis I’m thinking of, his dad used to be married to a family member of mine. I haven’t seen the kid since he was a teenager, about 8-10 years ago, so I can’t be sure, but based on the picture above, he is about a spitting image of his dad, so it’s probably him.

    If this is the Devin Davis I’m thinking of, his dad is a former Marine and a cop (or at least used to be) with the Bakersfield (California) PD. Also, a mean and abusive alcoholic who used to get shit-drunk and say the most hateful and degrading things imaginable to Devin and his younger brother. The Devin I remember was a smart kid with a lot of musical talent, but, predictably, didn’t get along with his drunken asshole of a dad, and ran away from home in his middle teens, and never came back, as far as I am aware.

    I’m not justifying his apparent Stolen Valor, at all, but just explaining that (if this is the same guy I’m thinking about), he’s a troubled kid from a troubled background. Jonn, any idea if the Devin in your post hails from the Bakersfield, CA, area?

  27. OWB

    TC: Yes, I have heard that term to describe tattoos placed there. If you did it for the right reasons, don’t worry about it. But, don’t be too surprised if some folks might make the wrong assumption about it. And in the one case, it’s not completely off the mark, right? 😉

    But, no thanks, I’ll take your word for it. 😀

  28. tm

    @13 Same reason why Don Shipley sold out of his Hair replicas he made for adoring fans of the Hair. We all bought one (or two, or a dozen) in tribute! I’m sure a few of us have totally been mistaken for the Hair wearing it, and we’ve all been totally careful to explain that it is in tribute that we wear it. Never to claim the many exploits of the Hair. We have no idea why anyone would get the idea we said we did all the things attributed to the Hair. That’s gotta be a misunderstanding. We certainly never strongly implied it in our facetwit photos.

    (sarcasm mode: on)

  29. Seadog

    @28, I’m sorry, my hair is much longer, and more luxurious, than the vaunted Mr. Shipley’s. Unfortunately, it won’t stay in place during an F-5 tornado like his will. For that, I give him props…

  30. UpNorth

    Coastie, turn it back on the next a-hole who gives you a hard time and ask him what the hell he/she is looking at?

  31. MCPO NYC USN Ret.

    @ 15. It is not disrespectful … But they are definately tramp stamps!

    Sarc … As if I need to foot note that.

  32. Enigma4you

    It aint a tramp stamp unless it looks like a target

  33. SSG Medzyk

    Don Shipley, also known as Coronado Holy Water 😀

  34. The Honorably Retired, and former, SSG Medzyk

    Crap, forgot to change my handle:

    Now! The new me!

  35. Toasty Coastie

    Thank you All…I appreciate the input.

  36. ghp95134

    @Enigma4you #32 “…It aint a tramp stamp unless it looks like a target…”

    You need to issue a down-wind message (and spurt warning)next time — laughed out loud at the “target” remark.

    “Sound off for equipment check!” (slapping on ass in front of me) No. 1, OKAY! [Oh …. sorry Toasty Coastie.]

    #28 – I WANT A DON SHIPLEY HAIR REPLICA!!!!! Nobody would EVER mess with me then!!!!

  38. DefendUSA

    You know, I just don’t fucking get it. I was a boring e-4 with a generic 5 years of service and I loved every minute of it. We did great stuff. I know why the non-serving liars lie. But, the people who served and lie about it? JDFGI. Thanks, Don Shipley.

  39. DefendUSA

    Hey Aw you think you know the kid…
    Right and wrong is a simple concept. If he revered his father’s service, then SAY so, don’t make shit up. Even though you aren’t defending, it seems like you are offering a bit of sympathy that is undeserved.

  40. Hondo

    DefendUSA: some who did serve know they could have done more, and now wish they had. I’m guessing that’s why so many posers embellish their otherwise decent military records.

    Others served, but took the easy way out every time. IMO they’re just continuing that here: trying to get the respect they crave but don’t deserve by claiming to be/have done things they never were/did.

    Neither is acceptable. And yeah – those who served honorably and then pull this stunt probably bother me the most.

  41. Old Trooper

    @15: See my answer to your question in #13. You have names and dates to go with the tats, so it’s all good. If someone says you’re being disrespectful to the military, tell them go piss up a rope.

    I don’t have any tattoos. Scars are tattoos with better stories and I have plenty of those. The only one I would get, is my family crest, but that hasn’t happened, yet, so I’m still ink free. Where you get your tattoos is a personal deal, it’s yours, put it where ever the hell you want.

    Just my 2 cents.

  42. Jacobite

    Funny you should bring up family crests OT, I’ve promised to get matching family crest tats with my son when he enlists, and pick up the tab lol. That will be my first and only ink.

    @15, don’t sweat it, your tats sound like perfectly acceptable tributes to your loved ones. As for it being called a ‘tramp stamp’ by some, the reason is because that’s typically what a tatoo on the lower back, just above the butt, is called. Remember, it’s only an insult if you take it that way, if someone don’t like it tell em to fuck off, it ain’t their back, and they shouldn’t be lookin at yours. 🙂

  43. jonp

    @13: I might get a tatoo of Special Forces, Trident, Ranger etc on my arm as a tribute to a friend or fallen comrade but I’d damn well get one above or below it saying “In honor of Joe Smith” or some such so there was no mistake

  44. jonp

    @15: If that is where you wanted the tatoo to honor your Husband and Dad then thats just fine. The guy berating you was a jackass.

  45. The Lurker Formally Known as Curt

    So is this ass hat defending himself, or did he try to scrub the interwebs and crawl under a rock?
    I would rather see him remove the offending tattoos with a machete and walk into a pride of lions…

  46. Green Thumb

    I actually like tramp stamps.

    They take a lot of time and effort out of the equation allowing you more time for beer and other things.

    Serious.

    just kidding!

  47. Toasty Coastie

    @36ghp~
    lol…

    @41 Old Trooper…Indeed…The scars I have live under the tattoo..is why it was placed there…easier to somewhat forget about the reason for said scars when having something pretty to cover over them..Turning something horrific int honour was the motivation…

    @42 Jacobite and @44 JonP
    Thank you…See response to Old Trooper..

    @46 Green Thump…*hands you a beer* 🙂

  48. Old Trooper

    @47: Yeah, some of my scars are too fresh for tats, but I already thought of the one that is 11″ long and what I would put there. I was thinking of using that one as a stripper pole and having a stripper swinging from it? What’s the consensus? Yes? No? Maybe? Jonn has seen that one, so he might have an opinion on it.

  49. Toasty Coastie

    @48 Old Trooper

    I completely understand about “fresh”…While mine are many years old ((scars))and the tat is 8 years, it still sometimes feels like yesterday…

    Hmm Stripper pole and stripper huh? Well its not terribly creative but I think if you add some wings, a trident an eagle and maybe a scroll with some pretty words, it might be ok…

    **grin**

  50. Hack.Stone

    For all of you guys and gals contemplating a tattoo, my advice is to have the tattoo artist actually write down what he plans on putting on you. Way back in the day, when Hack Stone was a mere pebble in his Marine Corps career, he was walking to the end of the line in front of the Comm School Chow Hall. I saw a hard charging Devil Pup with his ink on his upper bicep displayed. It just didn’t look “right”, so I took another glance. Yep, it was fucked up alright. “United States Marines Corps”. I think that Einstein got his ink on the installment plan, with the first session being “United States Marines”, then a few weeks later topping it off with “Corps”. Further proof that not every Marine in the 2800 occupational field is a genius.
