It seems our beloved Senior Chief can’t even get his morning started without Clowns in his coffee.

Dallas seems to be running on pure estrogen these days.

    1. Ex-PH2

Why? Did he have a hysterectomy?

      1. 11B-Mailclerk

        Would that be a Mister-ectomy?

  2. Messkit

I inadvertently clicked on the Chiefs picture, and it suddenly filled my screen nearly life-sized.

I will have a few nightmares this weekend…

The GHEY is strong with DulLaSs, aka: QuEeFeRs!

I wonder when the last time he took a bath or got deloused?

    1. Hack Stone

Are you including any tongue baths that Daniel Bernath may administer to him?

      1. HMCS(FMF) ret

Yes… they probably do that hourly.

    2. A Proud Infidel®™

“I wonder when the last time he took a bath or got deloused?”

I see DaLlAsS as the type who will take a bath at least once a month whether he thinks he needs it or not. Delousing? Likely not since his last arrest and incarceration.

  4. Sapper3307

SlerpMAn must have found out he wont be on the list for congenital prison visits with Bernasty.

    1. rgr769

I think you meant “conjugal” prison visits. But I agree they are both congenital idiots (meaning since their respective births). But genitals will surely be involved in any of their visits.

Dallas-for the love of God and for what you once were, please seek help. Whatever long-term personality disorder you obviously suffer from, you were a brave and honorable man once, even if that was only for so long as you were humping that radio in the jungle. You were legitimately an American hero once, but you have clearly lost it. It may not be too late, but videos like the one posted by Chief Shipley just ooze crazy.

I’ve bashed Bernath plenty, because he is a phony’s phony, but I always thought that, at worst, you exaggerated a commendable record. Get yourself clear of his nonsense and talk to a mental health professional before you end up talking to inanimate objects in a state hospital.

    1. I’ve had that talk with him. He’d rather be Bernath’s minion.

      1. A Proud Infidel®™

        More like Bernath’s sniveling lackey!

      2. A Proud Infidel®™

He looks and acts like THAT GUY I’d see at the end of a lunch Counter in a Truck Stop back during my days as a Trucker. The one that sits therre babbling endlessly into his free refill cup of coffee, make eye contact with him and you’ve got a friend for life whether you like it or not, he’ll immediately try to bond like a forgotten hungry stray dog and NOT just there he’s the kind one sees when volunteering at homeless shelters and soup kitchens, THAT’S why I’m sure he’s so dedicated to being Daniel A. Bernath’s lackey, HE was outed here and Bernath was able to con and manipulate him. Part of me pities him wishing he would seek help and YES I see him as a Baker Act candidate.

      3. Eden

What’s he going to do when Bernath gets locked away?

        1. A Proud Infidel®™

Likely he’ll be walking around looking and acting crazy thinking he’s impressing people until he gets locked up for a Mental Evaluation under the Baker Act.

      4. A Proud Infidel®™

YOU CANNOT help someone that doesn’t want to help their self and like a past Mentor of mine once told me, “You cannot help a fool”, and we have seen from the first day we saw him that DaLlAsS has perpetually chosen to be a turbocharged FOOL.

    2. Even I have tried to half ass defend him in the past.

Dealing with these two is like playing chess with pigeons. No matter how good you are they will eventually start strutting around the board knocking over pieces as if they are victorious.

He acts like the spawn of Fred Mertz and Phyllis Diller.

      1. Ex-PH2

When Scotty had stuff on his blog about wittless ‘n’ wandering, there was something about guys who knew him when they were in Vietnam, and said he was just as loony then as he has been recently. Looking at that quackery, either’s pushing for a stay in a locked ward, or he’s on the edge of bull goose looney. Whatever it is, he’s most of the way around the bend now.

        1. 68W58

In one of the original threads here about Wittgenfield someone who knew him in Vietnam said that his abiding memory of Dallas was of him standing up in the 9th I.D. chow hall and yelling “legs suck” trying to start a fight (and this from a guy who came here to defend him). That’s why I talked about “long-term personality disorder” above. For all that he was a brave man once, it’s sad to see him reduced to obvious lunacy.

      2. DefendUSA

Aw Dave, don’t insult Fred. He had to deal with Lucy AND Ethel!!

  6. Silentium Est Aureum

Next, on Dr. Phil’s special episode, “Baker Act Candidates!” we meet Dallas Wittgenfeld.

Seriously, DullASS, your best days are behind you, and your liver can’t handle much more.

What the hell was that thing in the video?

    1. Sj

Damn. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so strange.

    2. Steve

Sweet Mary, that is helmet-wearing thigh-slapping knuckle-draggin nuts right there

  9. Just An Old Dog

The first thing I thought of when I saw this clip was it was a bad attempt at making “The General” Car Insurance commercial with a real person instead of a cartoon.
    Nice single-wide there Dallas.

  10. AW1Ed

Gawd. Were it me, there wouldn’t be coffee in the mug after viewing that first thing in the morning. Someone’s cheese has clearly parted company with his cracker.

  11. 26Limabeans

I thought there was going to be a surprise ending. Like the anemometer on the roof exploding or something. More dramah.

    1. AW1Ed

Or a huge American Indian ripping up a marble deep sink and tossing it out the window.

  12. The Stranger

    Wow…just wow. I am speechless…

  13. OIF ’06-’07-’08

That idiocy displayed by Dallas only proves that he has a single digit IQ.

Wonder if Bernath is putting him up to this now that he is under the promise of the presiding judge over his OR case to cease and desist his actions against the Shipley’s or have his bond revoked.

  14. Good GOD Amighty! I have been cutting dead trees for 3 days, and every damned one of them looked more sensible than dUlLaS. Bone, Stone, Batshit Crazy doesn’t begin to describe this idiot. He is ready for the Rubber Room.

  15. Susan

WOW. The stupid is strong in that one. I am dumber for having seen that shit.

  16. Bubblehead Ray

This is your brain on drugs

    1. AW1Ed

This is your brain on drugs with hash browns and sausage. Mmmmmm, sausage…

      *grin*

  17. Sj

He and I: same approx age; same war; almost same experience except he probably did serious shit.

So glad I didn’t go down his path post VN. Shame his family doesn’t take care of him.

    1. A Proud Infidel®™

It could be that they tried to and had to let go when they saw that he was not going to help himself.

  18. Hondo

The man certainly seems to need professional help. But as the warden said in Cool Hand Luke: “Some men, you just can’t reach.”

Until he wants help . . . he’s beyond help.

Hopefully he’ll change his mind before he’s beyond hope.

Recommend you seek help, Wittgenfeld. You need it desperately.

    1. Silentium Est Aureum

Sadly, as some addicts/alcoholics/counselors will tell you, sometimes even death isn’t the bottom of the barrel.

  19. cato

I’ve read numerous comments about wittgenfeld over the past few years. I wasn’t at all sure all the comments were true and accurate.

Any uncertainties I may have possessed have been laid to rest.

  20. Eden

That’s what Wittgenfeld has degenerated into? Weapons-grade lunacy.

  21. I can’t even laugh at him anymore. I used to, but not anymore. Now, watching that video that Senior Chief Shipley posted, I am filled with only pity.

The shell of a man in that video is the same kind of man I see in the eyes of people sleeping on the sidewalks and smelling of cheap liquor and urine. He needs serious help.

  22. Reb

He’s a walking billboard for a FAILED ABORTION.

  23. fm2176

WTH did I just watch? I sit here in the Drill Sergeant’s office, winding down yet another CQ shift and knowing that there are at least 40 young might-be Infantrymen out there sleeping or on various watches. After watching that video, I can only hope that none of those we train turn into such a shell of a man, whose life revolves around what he did some fifty years earlier. No matter how little or great our contributions in the military, we serve our roles and move on to other things. Even if we draw upon our military service it is not the overwhelming process in our lives. For those that find it so, there are multiple sources for help.

He is clearly either trying to play an act, screaming for help, or out of his mind.

    1. Silentium Est Aureum

      I vote for all three.

  24. Can a human mind deteriorate to this level without being loaded with drugs? I see conduct that is questionable, (but not that far gone), from the street junkies, and I wonder how they got so bad off. If I encountered someone acting like this in public, I would have him in handcuffs, and get him off the street. If it weren’t all self induced, I could pity the dope.

    1. HMCS(FMF) ret

Frankie, I’m guessing that Dallas is an alcoholic, based on his arrests for being intoxicated in the past. Add the booze to a borderline personality issues and you get people like him who have the problems that he does.

How he’s able to skydive while in his state of mind is anyone’s guess – hopefully, someone has the balls to tell him to get lost before he tried to get on any type of aircraft or strap on a chute.

      1. There was his 1986 arrest for flying while intoxicated.

  25. A Proud Infidel®™

Okay, I was finally able to make myself sit through the whole thing, in two previous attempts I was only able to make myself endure to about the 2:00 mark and THAT was all I needed to confirm my suspicions that he is someone others have tried to help in the past and gave up trying when he refused to help himself. He has pulled himself into his own fantasy world , inside a proverbial shell where he immerses himself in his rantings like some homeless person sleeping in a box on a sidewalk mumbling to him or herself.

  26. NavyEODguy

Whut we have he-yah, is a fail-yuh to communicate.

Well, tryin’ to get the vernacular as close as possible.

  27. Guard Bum

That is incredibly sad but it is just an extreme version of what I see at the VA hospital when I go there. Seems like a fair number of Veterans have similar mental health issues from the Viet Nam era and I have no doubt some of the young Veterans of today will be similarly afflicted as they age out.

I dont think it takes a million dollar research study to conclude that a small percentage of folks will develop long term mental health issues (or their existing issues will rise to the surface) when exposed to the extemis of combat or even near combat.

Millions of Veterans cope just fine but its guys like this who influence civilians perceptions and get the notoriety. This almost has the air of a put on but if it isn’t, he needs serious help.

  28. timactual

“Be all that you can be…in the Army”

Evidently he took it too literally. He seems to think he was all that he could be.

  29. 11b-mailclerk

Is the lesson to be learned here, that it is Ok to be nuts if one has a decent soundtrack and songwriter,

    As per Don Qixote.

    Otherwise, not.

Witless, wood alcohol should never be the beverage of choice. Do yourself a favor and get checked into rehab.
