  • Code Pink assaults military’s display

    As I wrote last week, Code Pink had a vigil at the White House this weekend since most of the barren old hags don’t have children with whom they can spend Mothers’ Day. Among them was Uncle Jimbo’s heart throb, The Peace Fairy;

  • More on the Kokesh for Congress run

    The other day I offered interviews to the Santa Fe media for background on their newest aspiring congressman, Adam Kokesh. They didn’t take me up on it, but they wasted no time interviewing Kokesh;

    Adam Kokesh of Santa Fe, a registered Republican who backed Libertarian candidate Ron Paul in last year’s GOP presidential primaries, said Friday that he’s not sure what party banner he might run under — Republican, Democrat, third party or independent.

    “I represent a wide range of people from parties who are clearly disappointed with the current Democratic Party line,” Kokesh said in an interview.

    While he supported Paul, Kokesh, who served in Iraq, also praised U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, a liberal Ohio Democrat who, like Paul, was a critic of U.S. military actions during last year’s presidential campaign.

    A wide range of people, indeed. From Ron Paul to Dennis Kucinich – actually probably the same people. The people who don’t have a clue. I’m not familiar at all with the demographics of New Mexico, but I’m sure there’s a large number of sane people. But Kokesh knows how to work the media;

    Asked for comment about the potential challenge and Kokesh’s statement that Luján just wants to be “part of the club,” Mark Nicastre, a Luján spokesman said in a prepared statement, “Rep. Luján is focused on his work in Congress and throughout New Mexico’s 3rd district. Since January, Rep. Luján has worked with his congressional colleagues to pass legislation that cuts taxes for 95 percent of American workers and puts us on a path to economic recovery, provides health care for millions of children, protects valuable and treasured lands in New Mexico, and moves us toward a clean-energy economy.”

    His opponent, Lujan, appears to be a moron – why defend the charge that he’s a “part of the club” by regurgitating the Obama State of the Union Address? But, Adam has a few things to overcome, too.

    Kokesh said he doesn’t have a full-time job. Though he said he does graphic design “on the side,” he described himself as a full-time activist.

    That’s not a real relatable resume` among working Americans. But, then there’s always Daddy;

    Kokesh is the son of venture capitalist Charles Kokesh, a co-owner of the Santa Fe Horse Park southwest of the city, which earlier this year defaulted on its $2.25 million mortgage.

    Ooops. Maybe Dad can get a bailout from the feds before Adam pisses off his Congressman.

  • The anti-recruiter war

    Last year, the anti-war movement discovered that they can’t stop the war through Congress – mainly because Congress doesn’t want solutions to problems, they only want issues. So the anti-war crowd decided they would attack the troops who are detailed as recruiters. At about the same time, the Army decided to build a $12 million pilot facility called the Army Experience Center at Franklin Mills Mall near Philadelphia which has a variety of video games designed to give potential recruits a taste of the Army. I can’t wait to visit and try the shoe-shining and the latrine-scrubbing video games.

    Since it opened last year, the AEC has stuck in the anti-war crowd’s craw. They’ve protested it at least once before that I know on February 16th – it kind of fizzled out, of course. So this past Saturday, they decided to make a concerted effort towards shutting the AEC down.

    Our own Raoul was on the scene, of course, and he phoned in a report last night. He met them in the church parking lot where they assembled at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ. In short order, Raoul was able to get the church’s secretary to call him a mother f@#%er twice.

    All of the Leftist reports say they had over 300 people to protest, Raoul tells us it wasn’t even 200 – which is surprising since the Left also says that over 30 groups participated. Even if it was 300, with 30 groups, that’s piss-poor attendance.

    But the whole thing is comical. Here’s 200-300 people protesting video games. They had slogans like “If you’re not old enough to drink, you’re not old enough to kill”. So I guess, like me, they think the drinking age should be lowered, too.

    IVAW Winter Soldier, Jesse Hamilton was there. His deep intellectual contribution to the discussion was; “You can’t simulate the heat. You can’t you know the cries of people who are getting killed. You can’t simulate the noise when things are exploding around you.” Well, ya know what Jesse, they get an idea of what it’s like during training, don’t they? It’s not like they load the kids on buses outside the AEC and take them straight to Iraq, do they?

    Here’s a local TV report;

    One blogger from the Left, who certainly thought highly of himself and his actions that Saturday afternoon at the mall wrote;

    The complaint was read out loud, which had a profound effect on everyone who was there shopping, and visiting the various eateries.

    People stopped to listen, and really couldn’t believe what was happening. I myself, was part of a group of protesters who donned death masks and the names of fallen soldiers and stood directly in front of the AEC, which was at that point surrounded by police.

    But that didn’t stop us from demanding that it be closed and they should cease and desist corrupting our youth. Those of us in death masks stood silently by and watched the rest of the group shouting at the recruiters. “Stop stealing our kids” “No wars for empire”, “SHAME ON YOU!” to the endless pounding of drums.

    It seemed to me that the recruiters were becoming a bit unnerved….

    Yeah, soldiers who had faced an armed enemy on foreign soil were unnerved by a bunch of smelly geezers. I’m sure. And as far as a “profound effect” it had on shoppers, I’m pretty sure they were real impressed by loud-mouthedclowns interrupting their day of shopping to scream intellectually vacant chants like kindergartners.

    Someone should probably point out the Army isn’t stealing anyone’s kids. Everyone who joins is an adult in their own right, making their own decisions and the fact that these pathetic cowards think that kids are stupid enough to think war is a video and need rescuing says more about the fantasy land these clowns occupy than it does about America’s youth.

    ShotgunDroid sent us this video from GamePolitics;

    Seven people were arrested, one was Elaine Brower, who I mentioned in the earlier post, the others bravely wore hoods and masks. The whole confrontation lasted 9 minutes. One of the arrestees wrote;

    After only one warning, the police decided to aggressively arrest seven of the protesters who were wearing death masks, peacefully standing in front of the AEC and not blocking the entrance. Taken to a distant precinct, the civil affairs Captain vowed vengeance by trying to charge the seven with a “misdemeanor in the third degree.” After 6 hours in the most deplorable conditions, they were released to return to court in June.

    Yeah, in the video, you can see how aggressive the police were. I saw where they even refused to arrest one little old bag who was begging for it. And the captain “vowed vengeance”, huh? Or, maybe he vowed to enforce the peace.

    Raoul reported that only people who were angry were the folks trying to get in the AEC. Fox reported that the anti-war protesters have to keep their lawyers employed;

    Anti-war protesters are suing. They claim the Army Experience Center is endangering the welfare of children.

    What children, you retards?

    Most of the pictures I see say “Courtesy of Bill Perry” so I guess I fixed his camera well enough. Hey, Bill, Raoul says he saw you standing safely off to the side.

    Raoul also reports that our buddy Pinhead was there and was showing anyone who would pay attention his VFP card to prove that he really is a veteran while Raoul pestered him for the month’s pay Pinhead owes Raoul on their wager. Yeah, we never said you aren’t a veteran, Dennen, we were wondering about the World War Two medals you wore at protests.

    I’m sure Raoul will have more to add in the comments.

    Raoul adds:

    It was a failure for them.

    1. They mobilized from NYC to DC, promised 700 people, delivered 200. That’s 29%.

    2. They got just one news story. The local Fox affiliate did a 333 word article for the website, no film. Another TV station showed, no story on the news that night.

    3. They got better than they gave. Three counter-demonstatrers owned their rally at St Luke’s. Our PA was louder than their’s and they had to listen to our “Teach In”.

    4. St Luke’s Church Secretary called me a “Mother F**ker” three times.

    5. They pissed off a lot of locals stuck in traffic as the geezers walked a mile in 30 minutes.

    6. You couldn’t tell there was a demo just 40 yards down the mall.

    7. People coming and going at the mall mainly ignored them

    8. They pissed off the teens who let the geezers know it.

    9. They were in the mall for less than an hour.

    10. The AEC opened 10 minutes after they left.

  • SGT Casey J. Porter resigns from IVAW

    Casey J. Porter has been sending video reports from Iraq for the IVAW and has drawn the attention of the left’s bigwigs like Michael Moore and Democracy Now. Today Porter picked up his stuff and left the organization. The big reason he left? The organization’s protection of Matthis Chiroux.

    As some background, the IVAW has split into two sides – 1) the “resisters” who have basically done nothing for the country, and 2) the pro-America, pro-Constitution former service members who actually served in the war.

    The split began when Kelly Dougherty, an actual Iraq War veteran, resigned and she was replaced by Alex Bacon a guy who deserted from the fricken Coast Guard (while they were still part of the Transportation Department – that’s like deserting from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).

    So under Bacon’s leadership, the resisters, who are mostly real honest-to-goodness communists, have made it known that they don’t much like the folks who actually served in the Iraq War (ya know, like in the name of the organization) because those members still believe in the Constitution and not some radical overthrow of the US system. That became glaringly clear during last week’s comedy show put on by Matthis Chiroux.

    The part of the organization that owes allegiance to the International Socialist Organization rushed to “resister” Chiroux’s defense when actual combat veterans called him to task for his outlandish behavior over the last year. Of course, their VVAW/VFP masters, like Ward Reilly, the Vietnam Veteran Against the War who never went to Vietnam, sided with the resisters. That’s not surprising because Reilly doesn’t see the value in serving the country in time of war – just like Chiroux and Bacon.

    Well, apparently, actual war veteran Porter decided he’d had enough today. Here’s the resignation letter he posted on Facebook;

  • Cliff “Crybaby” Cornell gets a year (Updated)

    I’m still waiting on some answers to some of our questions from the Army, but I wanted to run this story before it gets too stale. I may update it later.

    Last night we discovered from our buddy, Just A Grunt that Cliff Cornell, the Arkansas deserter who broke into tears for a local news station wasting his time trying to take a few days off between the time Canada tossed his sorry ass out and he turned himself in to Fort Stewart, GA authorities, got off easy with a twelve month sentence yesterday. The other deserter who absconded to Canada, Robin Long got 15 months.

    I know it’s hard to keep these buffoons straight so in celebration of Cliff’s impending nuptials at the Graybar Hotel, here’s a recap;

    He deserted in January, 2005 and became quite a celebrity while he was there. His standard line was that recruiters suckered him in with the promise of money and a skill. I’m guessing that he got the cash and the training…still;

    On February 4th, the Canadians showed their good judgement by tossing the bozo out of their country. Immediately, never ones to pass up a fund raising opportunity, the Geezers For Peace started lobbying for a “sanctuary city” to hide deserters in the same comfort and conveniences that they refuse to protect.

    On February 10th, he arrived in Savannah, GA and laid up in a hotel room with an AP reporter who painted a portrait of a little sissy who was suddenly afraid to face the situation he’d created for himself;

    “I’m nervous, scared,” Cornell said, wiping puffy eyes beneath his sunglasses Monday at a Savannah hotel after a three-day bus ride from Seattle. “I’m just not a fighter. I know it sounds funny, but I have a really soft heart.”

    Yeah, the dragon and skull tattoos make that clear, Chrissy.

    So two months later he pleads guilty.

    Of course, Robin Long, the other absconder who held out in the comfort of Canada is angry that Cornell got off with three months less than Long. Long’s lawyer claims that the reason Long got a more severe sentence is because of his activism against the war on terror and Cornell’s more selfish motives. So what have we learned today, Robin?

    Updated: A statement from our new friend LTC Nathan Banks, hero, scholar, Literary Sumo Grand Champion and PAO;

    The Army does not agree with the statement of Long’s punishment being longer than Cornell because he spoke against the war. Each case was tried in front of a different judge with different outcomes.

    Cornell made the comment that he recieved a $9000 enlistment bonus, so I asked the good Lieutenant Colonel if Cornell was liable to the tax payers for that bonus;

    Yes, Cornell would be obligated to pay back any bonus he received. Not fulfilling his contractual obligation to the Army is clearly a breach of his contract.

    So we’ll never be broke as long as Cornell owes us that money.

  • All Chiroux, all week long

    In keeping with this week’s theme “All Chiroux, All the Time” I bring you the reaction of some of the IVAW folks. The prize for best comment goes to Jason Lemieux;

    Ward Reilly tries to warn Kris Goldsmith that we’re meanies over here at This Ain’t Hell because we were mean to him;

    Yeah, we were mean to you, Ward, but not as mean as Mother nature was to you. Besides, I don’t like liars and fakers. Send me that picture of your sign again so I can point out the toilet paper you used to cover up the word “Iron”. The only people I call commies are real admitted commies. I’ve never used those other terms – that’s the voices in your empty head.

    And then Goldsmith starts questioning Reilly’s service (which he should do) and Reilly starts his standard “I never said…” line.

    Then Amy Baxter chimes in wondering why Reilly’s service is being questioned;

    Someone should have questioned his service a long time ago, Amy

    In another conversation Goldsmith had with Chiroux last month, Goldsmith tried to explain to Chiroux that he was proud of his service and proud of the day he first put on a uniform. Chiroux proceeded to shit all over him;

    Matthis Chiroux at 1:18pm March 12
    Whatever, dude. If I’m in left field, you’re in right. I’m sorry you’ve slid back into the glorification of your service and your motivations for joining. Whatever your intent, you were tooled, and so was I, and so were all of us.

    While to you, that uniform represents sacrifice, honor and all that stuff, to most of the people of the world it represents terror, repression and American Exceptionalism. It represents a failure of the American people treat others as we would be treated ourselves.

    Even from a constitutionalist perspective, the founding fathers would be very uncomfortable with your pride serving in a STANDING ARMY. That’s on of the things they were really wary of, you know.

    Anyway, I’ve got to get to Chinese class. y? hu?r jiàn!

    Later, Chiroux continues to crap on the VETERANS of the wars by trying to drag them all down to his level. Saying that his “resistance” is more courageous than doing duty.

    Matthis Chiroux at 6:11pm March 12
    Fair enough, Kris. You’re right. This organization has opened doors for me, or better, shut ones I shouldn’t have been walking through. IVAW will always be the organization that gave me the strength to say no to the crimes of my government when it was my turn to jump in.

    However, combat experience in the Global War on Terror is NOT A BADGE OF HONOR, it’s wrong. Repeated deployments to GWOT is not heroic, it’s even more wrong. Unfortunately, it does seem to be the prevailing trend.

    AGAIN, I will ALWAYS wear my resistance as my badge of courage, honor and integrity because you folks had the courage to speak truth to power and I had the good sense to act on it.

    But we mustn’t dilute ourselves. Combat doesn’t make a man or woman. The military doesn’t produce heroes. And this isn’t a “war.” It’s genocide, and I refuse to bow down to it any longer or allow it to define my honor.

    Any more issues?

    I wish I had this shit a month ago.

    Oh, I’ve got lots more. But I think that’s enough for now.

    Added: We’ll give Kokesh the last word;

    And who is out there calling this a big victory? Um, The Truthers and Socialist Worker.

  • Making sense of the Chiroux/IVAW theater of the last few days

    Yeah, I know, I was a little confused yesterday, too. I woke up to the news (in my email) that Matthis Chiroux had been recommended for an general discharge under honorable conditions. I’d talked to LTC Maria Quon the day before and she had told me that was the worst he could receive, so imagine my surprise when I read that he had called it a victory for the Left. It was the same discharge he would have gotten if he hadn’t gone to St. Louis and made a buffoon of himself. And dragged his groupies along with him.

    And then, I saw his asshattery on the St Louis local news with the upside down flag patch on his sleeve like some spoiled child. I’m pretty sure he didn’t wear it like that for the board or they’d have thrown him irons on the spot. The only thing that’s distressed here is Chiroux.

    So then I spent the rest of the morning talking TSO in from the ledge (his office in on the second floor, but still, he might have landed on a hobo and we wouldn’t have been able to get the smell off before the weekend and the MilBlog convention is like tomorrow). Soon after that, someone sent a copy what Kris Goldsmith wrote on his Facebook page about Matthis – the best part of the whole thing is that it jibes with what a former friend of Chiroux told us last month – almost letter perfect. Luckily, I was between TSO and the window this time.

    Of course, I emailed some of the folks in IVAW who I know to get their reaction. One of them sent me Camillo’s (one of the VVAW handlers of IVAW) reaction to Goldsmith’s missive;

    Camillo Mac Bica at 2:19pm April 22
    Kris, this is truly overwhelming. Please know that I have always respected you and all you have done for the movement and I don’t question your honesty and motivation in coming out on this. Here is my problem, though, and this is what I worry about. Like it or not, deservedly or not, Matthis has become one of the most visible faces of the movement, the poster boy, if you will. As such, should “right wing bloggers” as you mentioned, get a hold of this, it will be the entire movement that will suffer a set back, a loss of credibility. Now I’m not saying not to let the truth be known, hey let’s air this out and let the chips fall where they may.

    But can we do this in house, wthout giving the Fox fuckers a hey day to the detriment of IVAW and the rest of the peace movement? If I can be of any assistence in resolving this with the least amount of chaos, please let me know. You are an intelligent and honest man, Kris, so I trust your ability to look at the whole picture.

    Emphasis is mine. I found it odd that Camillo, was willing to throw Goldsmith, a long time member of IVAW, one of the well-known and arguably one of the most believable testifiers at Winter Soldier right under the proverbial bus and cover up for Matthis Chiroux, the habitual liar and the guy who has never served in combat in either Afghanistan nor Iraq. But, as Camillo explains “Matthis has become one of the most visible faces of the movement, the poster boy“. Chiroux has been willing to say anything for anybody – for a price. He’s tall and blond and I guess Camillo finds that more attractive than the truth.

    From what I’ve heard from members of IVAW as well as former members, Mejia is running off anyone from IVAW who won’t toe the International Socialist Organization line, and we’ve already seen Chiroux cozy up to World Can’t Wait, that had been established by the Revolutionary Communist Party. So while many IVAW members are a little shy about aligning themselves with folks who have far-Left tendencies, Camillo and Chiroux have no problem with that.

    Here’s a reminder of what Camilo Mejia wrote to Army Sergeant last month about her patriotism and the Constitution;

    What you have before you, Selena, is a typical GI Resistance publication, Vietnam-era style. Many such publications were the work of civilians who were working alongside GIs, which is the case of GI Special. Tom Barton works with members of VFP, IVAW, VVAW, etc and they reprint articles from papers like the Army Times, and from web sites such as our very own.

    Your opinion of this publication is a reflection of just how out of touch you are with the organization you’re in. Have you ever checked out Vets For Freedom? They loooove the constitution, they’re flag waving patriots, and they want troops to reenlist. I bet they would have a similar opinion to yours about GI Special.

    I’m not going to waste too much on this, Selena, but I really think you should explore other organizations that would better meet your desire to be a hard core patriot. IVAW is really not that place.

    Yeah, see, if you happen to believe that the Constitution is a good legal guide for our country, Camilo doesn’t think you belong in the IVAW. If you happen to wave a flag right-side-up, you don’t belong in IVAW. Chiroux belongs in IVAW because he’ll prostitute himself – he’ll say and do anything for a price. As long he gets his nose full of cocaine and gets to live in a big expensive apartment in NYC, Chiroux will do anything. Kris Goldsmith reports that this pompous arrogance is what’s on Chiroux’ Facebook page this morning;

    “Oh the fates are twisted! 8)8) Forgive the liars and the lame of heart. They know not what they do. Oh the splendid peace I feel; it shall not be moved from me. More to follow from Winter Soldier yesterday!”

    Thought you guys might like that, how he’s projecting this bible-speak at all the sheep who can’t see that the crown of thorns on his head is made of compressed feces.

    He’s like Ward Reilly (who by the way is recommending that IVAW investigate the charges Goldsmith has made about Chiroux – so that they can sweep it under rug before us wingnuts get a hold of it – too late, Ward). Reilly never went to Vietnam, yet he’s a Vietnam Veteran Against the War. Reilly dresses in jungle fatigues and boonie hats even though he was stationed in Germany (like Chiroux). And now Reilly is a useless, ghastly-looking old man who has never accomplished anything except fooled a new generation of warriors into thinking Reilly is someone. Reilly and Chiroux are nobodies.

    The list of IVAW members who are disillusioned with IVAW’s support for Chiroux is growing, judging by the number of emails I’m getting.

  • More Chiroux

    If Matthis’ statement below didn’t piss you off, wait until you see this video from the local Fox affiliate;

    From another local news organization KMOV4;

    However, [LTC Maria Quon] said its findings are not the final word. That decision rests with Maj. Gen. Sean Byrne, who oversees the Army’s Human Resources Command. She said it could take weeks for that determination.

    Here’s the pertinent regulation in Title 38 of the Code of Federal Regulations;
