  • IVAW member declares she’s not socialist

    I don’t link to Army Sergeant often, or at all really, but she’s declared over the weekend that she’s not a subversive socialist bent on over throwing our system of government. Odd that a member of an organization supposedly made up of patriotic former servicemembers would have to make such a statement, isn’t it?

    I love America. I love my brothers-in-arms, even if it is in a dysfunctional way. I love the Constitution, and the founding fathers. I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with Alexander Hamilton. I believe in a system of democracy. I believe in our freedoms. I may think some things in our country aren’t working perfectly, but I do not believe in changing them with any particular ‘ism’ of the moment. If you have an agenda? I’m against it. If you are attempting to use what I believe in for your own purposes? Feel free to consider me your implacable enemy. I am not your soldier. I swore an oath, and I meant it.

    This is not a post of support for Army Sergeant, it’s a condemnation of the realities of Iraq Veterans Against the War. It is a complete lie, right from the name of the organization – it’s not an association of Iraq veterans. Even one of the founders of the organization never got closer to Iraq than a safe and warm office in Turkey monitoring overflights of the No-Fly Zone – he left the Air Force the month before the war in Iraq began.

    The organization exists to give, what Medea Benjamin called “street creds”. It’s organized so that an elite, photogenic few live a decadent life of drugs and sex, while others who are in need of the organization’s funds and connections are forgotten and left to fend for themselves. I could cite specific examples, but I’ve promised some people that I wouldn’t tell their stories of instances that the group’s leadership neglected them – preferring to keep them supplied with illegal drugs and alcohol than getting them the help they need.

    I can also cite specific examples of their VVAW and VFP mentors abandoning some members. One member of IVAW told me how Bill Perry was specifically responsible for his VA claim being denied.

    Some of you might remember the post I did about Darnell Stephen Summers, another mentor of IVAW in Germany, and how he belonged to to the radical VVAW-AI (the AI meaning anti-imperialist) which was actually the socialist/communist membership of the VVAW who left and formed their own, more extreme organization. It seems that IVAW may be heading down the same road – except looking at the recent membership, I suspect that the more moderate IVAW members will be leaving this time because they’re outnumbered by the far-Left extremist whackos.

    There is no place for people who merely oppose the war in IVAW, there’s no place for real Iraq veterans in IVAW. They’re more concerned about providing economic opportunities for people like TJ Buonomo and Matthis Chiroux who are worthless turds and couldn’t find productive employment anywhere else.

  • MacBeth continues exposing IVAW

    Our favorite IVAW member has brought out his third and fourth videos in a series in which he claims he’ll expose IVAW for the fake organization that it is. He claims it took so long to bring out this video because he’s been in the hospital with heart problems. In case you haven’t seen them, his other two videos along with our commentary are here and here.

    As I suspected, MacBeth points to Kelly Dougherty as one of the people to help him craft his phony stories. He also fingers Amadee Braxton (a civilian liason from IVAW to other organizations with the organizational expertise to keep them afloat) as the bagman who funded his charade. Braxton keeps a low profile because of her duties.

    MacBeth claims he had another faerie tale that was more believable than the one that went public, so I guess he blames IVAW for him being exposed as a liar and fake. He also claims that the IVAW tried to keep the video out of the hands of “pro-war” bloggers because they knew that it would be debunked in about two seconds.

    MacBeth also ties in Vets for Peace and Socialist Alternative to IVAW antics, which comes as no surprise to regular readers of this blog.

    In the second video, the real stunner – he claims that his stories were all lies. Shocked? Me neither. He does defend the troops and apologizes to them (but he’s still mad at his drill sergeant – so am I still mad at my drill sergeant. One of these days, SFC Jason Hurst, one of these days….). But he continues that IVAW knew he was lying from the start and manufactured the DD214 that they used to defend him. Since the first time I wrote about him, I’ve seen a few altered DD214s from IVAW, too, so I tend to believe it. For those of you who haven’t seen his fake DD214 here it is;

    And here’s his real DD 214;

    MacBeth also claims that he’s not a pro-war plant as some members of IVAW have suggested. He admits that IVAW knew he was a fake from the beginning. Honestly, I don’t know how they couldn’t know. But here’s the second video;

    Again, I caution the reader that Jesse MacBeth is a proven liar – vitually nothing he says can be accepted at face value. That’s why This Ain’t Hell is here – to bring you the documented proof. MacBeth’s videos only serve as a starting point. He claims his book is chugging along, too. That should be a laugh riot.

    As a point of reference, here’s his original videos. A year ago, there were still people who believed him (read the comments on the second video);

    Added Sunday, 9AM: MacBeth added a third video this weekend;

  • IVAW should confront their future

    I know there are some folks at IVAW who truly believe in what they’re doing – who believe that they can make a difference. But history is not on your side. Take a look at who’ve you’ve associated yourselves with;

    MacPhearson Perry

    Odd Squad

    I snagged these photos from someone’s Flickr account.

    This is your glimpse at your future. These clowns never accomplished anything in their lives. Ward Reilly is the butt of every joke imaginable – he not only never went to Vietnam, he protested the war by going AWOL nearly a year after combat troops were withdrawn from Vietnam. Bill Perry admitted to me that his testimony at the first Winter Soldier was BS, that the only reason he told that story was to score some hairy-legged hippie chicks. His last remark to me about his actions in Vietnam was “We really kicked ass that day”.

    Mike MacPhearson is trying to make VFP a Democrat Party organization. He wouldn’t cross President Obama if his life depended on it. The same President Obama who just today announced that there’d be no withdrawal from Afghanistan. That kind of runs counter to your whole message, doesn’t it?

    What have they changed? They were successful in making everyone think that all of the veterans who returned from Vietnam were baby killers, dopers and thugs. They gave Hollywood a whole new class of villains for their idiot movies. They probably ruined more lives than PTSD did after that war. That’s your future. And they did it trying to make themselves sympathetic characters for their own selfish reasons. You know people just like them in IVAW and they’re the ones who are leading you over a cliff.

    Some of you went and did what you were ordered to do, but others, for their own selfish reasons, couldn’t summon the testicular fortitude to do the same – and they’re the same people who belittle the job you did. Chiroux calls himself an Afghanistan veteran, and then tells all of you in his secret letter that there are no heroes in this war against terrorism. Don’t you find that a bit hypocritical? Some of you did the right thing – you did your business and then protested. The cowards are protesting so they don’t have to do their business – and they’re hiding behind your service.

    Thirty years from now, you’ll be a punchline like Ward Reilly. If you really care about the troops, if you really want to help, there are so many other things you can do. If you really need help, there are more organizations than IVAW that can give you real help without making you so dependent on the camaraderie of prima donnas who’ll screw you at every turn. I know, because I’ve heard the stories from your membership. I know that it’s like Lord of the Flies sometimes. Join the world of the grown-ups and make lives for yourselves instead of being pawns and propping up the pretty-boys and the geezers who destroyed so many lives of so many others over the last few decades.

    Oh, and to Bill Perry; it was Raoul that had your SUV towed last weekend. That’s funny shit right there.

  • ANSWER March on the Pentagon

    Since the sixth anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq War was the other day, ANSWER and it’s assorted affiliates of beggars, drama queens and ne’er-do-wells picked today out of the air to hold their March on the Pentagon.

    Brian Becker, the national coordinator for ANSWER said it’s important because it’s the first anti-war protest in the Post-Bush Era. So here’s the photos

    This was the most appropriate thought – a bumper sticker on the back of a coat;

  • Ward Reilly the VVAW Ranger

    I’ve seen Robert Ward Reilly at several IVAW events including the Winter Soldier hearings last March (a year ago today, as a matter of fact). He looks pretty scraggly in that picture, but believe me, he looks worse in person. Notice the cammie jungle fatigues cut into short-sleeves and the boonie hat so that he looks like a real Hollywood version of a Vietnam veteran. Yeah, well, he’s not a Vietnam veteran. He was in Germany for his whole tour – that’s not news, actually. About four years ago Tim Blair blew his cover. Reilly said he never claimed to be a Vietnam veteran;

    I served, proudly, for 32 months in Germany in the 1st & 16th(Rangers) as a mortar gunner, starting in 1971, when I volunteered for the infantry at age 17.(With 2 full years left in the ground war in Viet Nam)

    I went where the army sent me…that what soldiers do. I could have just as easily been sent to Viet Nam, but I got lucky.

    Well, that part about “two full years left in the ground war” isn’t exactly true. Reilly joined in October 1971 – ground forces in Vietnam were being reduced and by August 1972 all combat forces had been withdrawn.

    That “(Rangers)” in Reilly’s statement jumped out at me when I first read it, so I did a little research and found that the 16th Infantry Regiment call themselves “Iron Rangers” and that’s why Reilly added it to his bio – hoping to scare every one into thinking he was a Ranger.

    It’s like the 7th Infantry putting (Cottonbalers) on their unit designation because that’s their nickname (from the Battle of New Orleans when they fought the British from behind cotton bales). Could we assume that they’re actually qualified to bale cotton?

    The actual ranger battalions used to be part of the 75th Infantry regiment (before they became the 75th Ranger Regiment) and did use the “(Ranger)” in their official designation. Reilly seems to be manipulating that fact.

    Just to make sure, I requested a FOIA on Reilly;

    No Jump school, no Ranger school – just Reilly’s manipulation of the language for the ignorant civvies.

    By the way, I did Reilly a favor before I posted this FOIA. The Records Center left his social security number on the form and I blackened it out. We’re not in the business of screwing people – just publishing the truth about the more disingenuous ones.

    In his AAR of last year’s Winter Soldier in Silver Spring, MD, Robert Ward Reilly writes that he can identify with the IVAW folks, because he’s “been there”, too;

    I knew that the WSIA would be a success. I knew how important it would be historically, because I have “been here” before, when I was a GI Resister in the infantry from 1971 to 1974, the last time a GI Resistance was necessary, and I payed [sic] dearly for my stand. It is extremely hard to resist inside the military. But we did, and Vietnam can now be used as the model for those that say “we will never leave Iraq.” The same people said that about Vietnam, and today there isn’t a single US soldier stationed in Vietnam, in spite of the plans to never leave there.

    See, if you didn’t already know that Reilly wasn’t a Vietnam Vet, from reading that paragraph, you’d get the impression that he did serve in Vietnam. Also, in that paragraph, he said that he “payed [sic] dearly for [his] stand” against the Vietnam War. I wondered about that, too. His “stand” was actually four weeks of being AWOL and being declared a deserter for a few weeks in May and June of 1973 (Spring time in Bavaria). The war in Vietnam was essentially over, US combat troops were all withdrawn in August of 1972 – so why’d he desert? Oh, yeah, here’s the Form 2-1;

    Robert Ward Reilly left the military as a corporal after three years in the drawn-down military after a stint on the desertion roster. I don’t know how he figured he “payed” for any stand.

    Yeah, I’ve watched Ward Reilly marching the IVAW clowns in their protests (I’ve got the video somewhere in my archives) counting cadence like he’s a drill sergeant. He was an Eleven-Charley E-4 deserter who joined at the end of the Vietnam War (when it was essentially over) the year before the draft ended.

    Reilly is just another pretender on the VVAW rolls.

    Correction: The video I have of Reilly marching the IVAW clowns and VFP geezers actually has Bill Perry counting cadence while Reilly holds the bullhorn for him (because Perry can’t hold the mike, the bullhorn and his bag of LCDs – Little Chocolate Donuts – all at the same time).

  • Safe enough for ya now, TJ?

    We got an IVAW press release today announcing their intention to send two representatives to an Iraqi Labor Conference. It’s um, pretty funny;

    Since the U.S. occupation began, Iraqi workers have been targeted in an attempt to suppress the population and control Iraq’s natural resources. Labor leaders have been killed, tortured and imprisoned; worker’s rights have been routinely violated; and union bank accounts have been frozen. In turn, Iraqi labor unions and workers have been among the leading non-sectarian forces defending Iraqi sovereignty and democracy.

    Notice how they fail to mention who is doing the killing of these labor leaders. The implication, of course, is that either US troops or the Iraqi government is doing it. I’m not going to speculate about who they think is responsible – but it sounds like they lifted the whole line from a presser from the US labor unions about Colombia. You’d think they’d point fingers at who they they think is the culprit.

    IVAW members Aaron Hughes and TJ Buonomo will represent IVAW as the only non-labor union participants at this historic conference. We have accepted this special invitation as an opportunity to powerfully show our support for the Iraqi people’s struggle for a democratic and sovereign Iraq, free of foreign domination. IVAW believes this can only be accomplished by ending the occupation and removing all foreign troops and bases, said Aaron Hughes, Iraq veteran and former Sergeant with the Illinois National Guard.

    Oh, good, two clowns who’ve never held a job are going to a labor conference. Here’s Thomas J Buonomo’s profile at IVAW;

    Buonomo’s story goes like this: He went to the Air Force Academy, got commissioned in the Army, went to intel school in Arizona and then got cold feet about being being deployed away from the lifestyle he’d grown accustomed to in the Air Force Academy.

    In his profile he explains;

    After examining statements made by numerous journalists and public officials with firsthand information on these matters, I came to the conclusion that the Iraq war was not only irresponsible but illegal and immoral….

    Brilliant, huh? He read “numerous journalists” whom we all know are infallible experts on every subject in the world. And this snot-nosed green El-Tee swallowed their BS and used it as an excuse to avoid the service that he OWED the country because of the free education he received.

    But I guess it’s safe enough now for TJ to venture over to Iraq – last time they sent Hughes and Millard. I guess Buonomo figures that they made it back in one piece he can stick his cowardly nose in where it doesn’t belong.

    The trip is being funded by USLAW (US Labor Against the War) an affiliate of United For Peace and Justice.

  • This ain’t the 60s, Cindy

    I found this at IVAW Actions about Cindy Thomas, an Army wife who opened “Under the Hood”, an IVAW “coffeehouse” that sprang from the coffeehouse plot of VVAW in the 60s to undermine military authority and help facilitate an end to the Vietnam War.

    Now, I’m not going to demean the sacrifice that Cindy Thomas has already made, but if that’s the excuse she’s going to use to undermine order and discipline in the Army, she really needs a dose of reality. Yes, her husband was injured. Yes, her step-son VOLUNTEERED to join the Marines – but they’re all making their own respective choices to fight this war – they’re not being drafted and force to participate. It’s not the 60s, Cindy.

    The title of the post is “New cafe a refuge for dissent”. Dissent of what? Cindy – look at your husband. Do you think he’d want you to facilitate dissent in the Volunteer Army? If he’d come home from work and complained about some “dissenting” soldiers in his unit, what would you have thought of them? What would your husband have thought of them?

    By encouraging dissent among volunteer military members, you’re causing more deaths in this war because dissent makes them unreliable in combat. You might as well strap on a bomb vest, pick up an AK and wrap a head scarf around your head and attack the Fort Hood Rod and Gun Club (the only place to go to get a decent meal and a beer on Hood as far as I remember from my years there).

    Wouldn’t it be easier to to join Soldiers Angels and actually do something supportive for the soldiers instead of something completely destructive? Besides, you’ll lose your ass if you think you’ll be able stay open on what those derelicts will spend on coffee.

  • Moonbat wants Obama impeached

    I guess everyone on the Left hasn’t been Obamatized yet. Meet Tom Santoni whose bio reads;

    …a long time human rights and economic justice activist, a professional musician and stained glass artist specializing in peace symbols, and a member of the Central Florida chapter of Veterans For Peace.

    He left out that he works part-time a public library. You just know someone with those kinds of creds is a deep political thinker, right? Well here’s part of his thoughtful indictment of The One;

    Some highlights;

    In a blatant and unmistakable act of war against a sovereign nation, Barack Obama, four days into his administration on Friday, January 23, 2009, as commander in chief of US armed forces, ordered the US military to launch Hellfire missile strikes on homes in northwest Pakistan, killing dozens of civilians including at least three children. The military was aiming to bomb al Qaeda and Taliban “suspects,” but there was some unfortunate “collateral damage”. Oops.

    Yeah, Dianne Feinstein blew the whistle on that one – those drones are based in Pakistan and operating with the full knowledge of the pakistani government, so it’s hardly a “blatant and unmistakable act of war”.

    But then Mr. Stainglass Peace Symbols starts making sense;

    Anyone who doesn’t think Obama should be impeached who supported the impeachment of the previous administration for these same crimes is dealing in double standards and hypocrisy. Everyone who voted for Obama has blood on his hands, especially after he made repeated campaign promises to increase already bank-busting military spending, double the number of US forces in the unwinnable US war and occupation of Afghanistan, continue to develop and deploy Reagan’s Star Wars missile “defense” system, and to “go after suspected terrorists wherever they are.”

    Ooops – someone else figured out that Left is a bunch of hypocrits. Word is spreading. Lemme know when ya’all feel like you’ve been used like tools. Yeah, it’s going t be a long four years for everyone.
