  • Update: Lower Michigan may be crash site for falling Chinese space station

    tiangong 1

Metro UK reports the Chinese space station, Tiangong-1, is expected to crash into the Earth early April, and it looks like lower Michigan is a likely impact site. Northern China, central Italy, northern Spain, the Middle East, New Zealand, Tasmania, South America, southern Africa, and northern states in the US have also been identified as the regions with a high chance of impact.

‘There is a chance that a small amount of Tiangong-1 debris may survive reentry and impact the ground. Should this happen, any surviving debris would fall within a region that is a few hundred kilometres in size and centered along a point on the Earth that the station passes over.’

‘Potentially, there may be a highly toxic and corrosive substance called hydrazine on board the spacecraft that could survive re-entry. ‘For your safety, do not touch any debris you may find on the ground nor inhale vapors it may emit.’

So our rocket scientists have narrowed down the time window a bit, but are still vague on the “where” part. Also mentioned, hydrazine is pretty nasty stuff and even short exposures can result in irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat as well as dizziness, headache, nausea, pulmonary edema, seizures and even coma, according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. If I happen to run across anything that looks like a smoking Chinese spacecraft, I’m leaving that sucker alone.

  • We the People Do Not Follow False Prophets

This is not about gun control.

It’s about what drives the control freaks to want to deprive American citizens of the right to own this or that, do this or that, and say this or that.

I spent some time this week reading a chapter from a book about the madness behind the near-to-religious fanaticism in people who insist that we’re all doomed and the world is going to end tomorrow unless all of us agnostics and antitheorists kowtow to the New Religion of Climate Whoosiewhatsis.  Some of the more flagrant cranks offered to strangle you in your bed.

Because it’s Lent, and because Easter falls on April Fool’s Day this year, I suggested some place else that people who wish to relieve themselves of the Burden of Unbelief spend some time (and substantial cash) in the company of the Monks of Carbon Apostasy.

I will happily include in that a visit to the Brethren of Guns ‘n’ Ammo Apostasy.

While I was poking fun at the hysterics of fanaticism and pseudo-religious fervor we witness in so-called liberals, I wasn’t too far off on the pseudo-religious aspect of it. “Catastrophe”, “worse than ever”, “doomsday” and other hyperbole  connected to climate references is advertising language, used to sell a product which, in this case, is not just climate change, but rather disastrous climate change.

“Repent, and give us your money and you’ll be saved from this Looming Catastrophe!!!  Algore needs more of your money, so send it!! All of it!!!”

Does anyone besides me remember Jim and Tammy Faye Baker?

It is baloney, and we all know it, but the uninformed, naïve twits who fall for that stuff swallow it as if it were chocolate syrup on vanilla ice cream. They are drawn into it because it provides them with some sort of pseudoreligious ecstasy. They become part of what they think is a Higher Order. This is not a joke. When you try talking to them in a reasonable way, to point out that the disaster hasn’t happened yet, and likely won’t, that they are being deceived, they refuse to listen, and either run off or start those lame-ass personal attacks.

It is the same thing with guns. The fact that no one is forcing the anti-gun crowd to buy, own, rent, touch or even look at a gun is immaterial. They don’t get that part at all, nor do they care. They insist on being terrorized by guns.  It feeds their need for some kind of emotional fulfillment. Frankly, I doubt that the majority of them go to any religious edifice unless there’s a funeral – and even then, they’d probably rather have it in a gym. In a large enough edifice, they can wallow in their Worship of the Dead. Something is missing in their souls. Perhaps a visit to the confessional would help them.

We know exactly how, why, and when guns are pounced on by the media as horrifying objects at the very moment a shoot-shoot-bang-bang event occurs. The fact that the media as a group act worse than African jackals sniffing for blood and scrounging for scraps when something dies only emphasizes their blood lust. And they have that, in spades. They wallow in it. They are just as addicted to this lust for blood as a crackhead is addicted to crack cocaine, or a junkie who shoots up, or some kid stealing painkiller opioids from a medicine cabinet because he will do anything to get high.

What’s the source of this need to hammer the public about blood and gore?  I’m not sure, but if you are familiar with real history, not the foppish made-up crap being taught now, you know that we humans as a species have a long, long trail of spilled blood, because we are apex predators, just like lions, bears, wolves and sharks. The Romans had organized theater for it in gladiatorial games. The sight and smell of bloodletting can make you randy, even if you won’t admit it to yourself. But now, we are more civilized.  We have football and pizza instead of brutal sword fights and dormice pickled in grape leaves.

It isn’t something new. The media have always been like this, but the current crop of media mopes seems to have gone off the deep end into a cenote of blood thirstiness that would put Dracula and Caligula to shame. The ‘jump to a conclusion’ hysterics that followed immediately on the heels of the Parkland school shooting were too disgusting for words. It was like watching a kettle of vultures gathering in the sky, looking for a corpse to tuck into before the animal is even dead – except that vultures don’t do that. (No offense meant to vultures in general.)

It is not only the media that act this way, as individuals and brainless zombies. They can smell blood on the pavement long before it dries. They count on the same blood lust in their viewers. They know their audience well enough to throw these ghoul parties ‘Live! On TV!”

However, as we found very shortly after the choreographed hysterics, abusive displays of frightened children on live TV, and a complete lack of simple decency, the media were so completely wrong and so full of utter shit, that they completely lost any credibility they might ever have had.

How quickly did that story die away, once their falsehoods were exposed? Stepped on their own cranks, they did.

Further information was released on a daily basis and the massive errors by the Liberaltwits became nothing but an embarrassment to journalism. They made damned fools of themselves in the process, sending real journalism further down into the sewers. One can only hope that they will never recover from their own deceit, and that in fact, it will become worse and worse until they are fully exposed for what they are: the false front faggot-bearers for Totalitarianism.

The pseudo-religious hysterics also apply to the Guns & Ammo corner, and all things related to them as one liberal, self-involved, greedy politician after another jumps into the spotlight to try to blame inanimate objects for what people do. A gun cannot function without a human using it, any more than my 9 inch cast iron skillet can cook bacon without my putting bacon into it and turning on the stove. Ammo won’t load itself into a magazine, nor will my paring knives jump out of the kitchen drawers without assistance.

These transparent and lame attempts to promote fanaticism are not doing too well. They are slowly crumbling. I think that the Leftherds were counting on We the People as a group, being dumb enough to not think for ourselves, and they were wrong again.

We the People aren’t remotely the dumbasses that they think we are.

Nor are We the People as stupid as they are. We the People can still tell a hawk from a handsaw. They cannot.

Therefore, We the People must remain vigilant. We the People cannot afford to yield even one inch. Give them no quarter. We the People have a tough fight ahead of us, but we should be able to say ‘You should have seen the other guy.’

  • Update on Ft. Meade Incursion

    ft meade

The Military Times reports two of the three people occupying a sport-utility vehicle that was fired on and halted as it attempted to gain access to the National Security Agency (NSA) have been released. The third party was turned over to the Howard County Sheriff’s office for failing to make child support payments. Investigators believe the incident occurred when the vehicle made a wrong turn and wound up at the NSA’s gate.

“The FBI continues to believe that yesterday’s encounter was an isolated incident,” Fitz said in a statement. “Our investigation continues and we do not see a nexus to terrorism.”

The unauthorized vehicle’s arrival at the NSA’s campus prompted shots to be fired at the vehicle Wednesday morning. The driver was hospitalized, though NSA and FBI officials say they don’t believe any injuries were caused by bullets.

Three guys getting turned around after a long night, no doubt. I can sympathize to a certain extent, but just damn! The Lord favors drunks and fools, and these guys are blessed.

  • Cristina Garcia, CA #Me Too leader accused of groping

Cristina Garcia, CA #Me Too leader accused of groping

    The Associated Press reports that Cristina Garcia, a California legislator and a leading figure in the state’s anti-sexual harassment movement has been accused of groping another legislator’s staffer;

Daniel Fierro told The Associated Press on Thursday that Garcia stroked his back, squeezed his buttocks and attempted to touch his crotch in a dugout after a legislative softball game in 2014.

Fierro didn’t report it at the time but in January told his former boss, Democratic Assemblyman Ian Calderon, who reported it to Assembly leaders. The Assembly is now investigating Garcia.

    You’ve heard Garcia’s response before in so many male responses to their accusers;

“Every complaint about sexual harassment should be taken seriously and I will participate fully in any investigation that takes place,” the Los Angeles-area lawmaker said in a statement thursday. “I have zero recollection of engaging in inappropriate behavior and such behavior is inconsistent with my values.”

Fierro says he is coming forward because of Garcia’s hypocrisy.

Garcia’s photo was featured in Time Magazine’s Person of the Year issue on being one of the “Silence Breakers” on sexual harassment.

“I refuse to work with (Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra) and anyone who takes part in harassment or assault,” she tweeted in October after it was reported Bocanegra had been disciplined in 2009 for groping a colleague. Bocanegra later resigned after more women made public accusations.

Garcia was a fierce advocate for legislation signed by Gov. Jerry Brown on Monday giving legislative staff members whistleblower protections for reporting sexual misconduct or other misbehavior, speaking at a rally on the Capitol steps after its passage. She’s tweeted repeatedly about the importance of sexual consent in recent days.

Another unnamed lobbyist claims that Garcia groped him, too.

  • Seems Like the Times That Try Men’s Souls….

Yesterday, I watched an idiotic video of a millennial trying to open a can of beans with a can opener. His entire class applauded when he completed that task. Since I knew how to do that when I was 5, this seems like a moron learning to do something that most of us take for granted. I really thought the squirrels around here are smarter.

But I realized, in watching that video, that those kids born between 1998 and 2018 have no clue on how to do anything, including feeding themselves. This is a golden opportunity to take a mind that is a blank sheet of paper and steer it in a more productive direction, isn’t it?

It’s my considered opinion that they are ripe for the plucking by those who like to corrupt people into doing stupid things. They are directionless, clueless, leaderless and nearly incompetent because they have been coddled their entire lives and will have to be on their own before long, if they aren’t already there.

Now is the time to grab those empty minds and get them on the track that will keep them from becoming the gullible prey of people like Gore and other corrupt political people. They have enough followers, as we’ve already seen.

These young people aren’t stupid. They are John Locke’s blank slates, ripe for corruption by the most corrupt people you can imagine. They can easily learn how to do something as simple as opening a can of beans. They are simply lost souls.

Note: My disclaimer is that the same generation of kids in my area are generally driven, ambitious, smart, bright, and hard working, and have specific goals for themselves.

But this generational naiveté is the reason that they’re falling for a strange political ideology called ‘climate change’ (used to be ‘global warming’). It’s the reason that Mao Tse-Tung, Pol Pot and other corrupt creatures were so successful. It’s the reason that Hitler’s Brown Shirts grew and the Jugend movement he wanted was so mindlessly enslaved to him.  It’s the reason that the quack Trofim Lysenko was so quickly accepted by Stalin and made the head of Soviet agriculture, and millions of people starved in the USSR and China because of him.

The verbal attacks on climate skeptics and on political conservatives have some of the same characteristics as the Brown Shirt attacks on dissenters and other specific groups in Germany when Hitler was building his Reich.  They also display that same kind of fanaticism that is evident in those films of Hitler giving speeches, where his Jugend followers look absolutely hypnotized by him.

Therein lies the real danger: when anyone is misled by turning a branch of science into a political base for a new belief system, a new ideology or a new religion, it is corruption at its most obvious and insidious level, and it depends on the naiveté and gullibility of the target audience.

The issue is how to stop it before it gets so bad that it turns into physical attacks. There is no easy answer to that.

This happened in Europe during the rise of the Roman church, which became the Roman Catholic church and gave authority to the Inquisition to destroy people who disagreed with its demands. You caved or you died.

Therein lies the mistake made by these power-hungry, money-grubbing con artists: this isn’t Europe in the 9th century. This isn’t the Soviet Union under Stalin and it isn’t Mussolini’s Italy (which didn’t last very long), nor is it Hitler’s Reichstag or Mao’s Red China, and it certainly isn’t the Dork From Nork’s Hermit Country. There is not and never has been a dynastic class in this country, no matter how much money those infamous robber barons of the 19th century made and no matter how much the MSM want it now. They and their families have faded away to a few straggling remainders. The foundations are slowly disappearing. In my view, that is all the losing end of what was once a sweeping grab of power in the European manner, and the world no longer works that way.

We are not peasants with no minds of our own, and those millennials who seem so laughably inept aren’t quite the mindless drones they seem to be, either.

If you were around back in 1960, you may recall Jack Kennedy’s simple message in his inauguration speech: ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. This is a message they haven’t heard just yet. It needs to be thrown at them now, today.

Instead of letting them be fruit loops, point them in the direction of being productive, having something to show for the time they spend, and always clean up after themselves. That’s a skill set they seem to have missed.

In spite of what you may think, while the military can be a harsh mistress, it can also get lost souls to straighten up if it’s done in a rigid enough manner.  I read up on the history of Women Marines. It seems that the USMC women’s boot camp in 1967 was far harsher and more tight-assed than anything I saw at RTC(W) Bainbridge, right up to Carter’s interference in the world, and a lot harsher than it is today.  But it certainly did build those women into cohesive units.

And if you will recall, during the Depression, the Roosevelt administration started work programs like the WPA, PWA, and CCC to get people back to work. My understanding of the CCC is that it was run like a military program. What a way to prepare people to defend their country!

Maybe this is what we need now – something that puts this clueless, directionless, leaderless group to work, gives them a purpose, and gets them to stop throwing temper tantrums at the Sky Gods.

There is, of course, an alternative, which is that we send them all to Dave Hardin’s house for pre-bootcamp indoctrination before they’re shipped off to Parris Island.

Just an idea I thought I’d throw at you all.

  • Hawaii: Ballistic Missile Threat Alert was a Mistake

    alert

Fox news is reporting on Saturday morning citizens of Hawaii received an emergency phone alert stating “BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.”

The alert caused panic among residents, who were told to evacuate and seek shelter. Turns out the message was sent in error during an emergency test. Over 30 minutes after the erroneous alert was sent, officials sent a correction message.

‘Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, tweeted “it was a false alarm based on human error. There is nothing more important to Hawaii than professionalizing and fool-proofing this process.”

Cdr. Dave Benham, a spokesman for U.S. Pacific Command, told Fox News they have “detected no ballistic missile threat to Hawaii. Earlier message was sent in error. State of Hawaii will send out a correction message as soon as possible.”’

Schatz wrote in a separate tweet that what happened was “totally inexcusable.”
“The whole state was terrified. There needs to be tough and quick accountability and a fixed process,” the senator wrote.’

Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, tweeted that she would work to find out what occurred.

“Today’s alert was a false alarm,” Hirono wrote. “At a time of heightened tensions, we need to make sure all information released to the community is accurate. We need to get to the bottom of what happened and make sure it never happens again.”

President Trump was informed of the event, which is described as “purely a state exercise.”

Hawaii Gov. David Ige said in a statement that “While I am thankful this morning’s alert was a false alarm, the public must have confidence in our emergency alert system. I am working to get to the bottom of this so we can prevent an error of this type in the future.”

Human error has been blamed for the event; let’s hope lessons were learned from this debacle. To paraphrase Ricky Ricardo, someone’s got some ‘splainin’ to do.

  • Biden Chimes In

    AR-15

Loopy Uncle Joe takes this special moment to beclown himself. Again. During a Q&A session on the “Today” show, Biden opined the citizen who stopped the Texas church shooter last week should not have been legally allowed to possess an AR-15.

“With the tragedy that just happened in Texas, how do you justify the Democratic view on gun control when the shooter was stopped by a man who was legally licensed to carry a gun?” a young woman in the audience asked Biden.

“Well first of all, the kind of gun being carried he shouldn’t be carrying,” Biden said. “I wrote the last serious gun control law . . and it outlawed assault weapons and outlawed weapons with magazines that held a whole lotta bullets so you could kill a lot of people a whole lot more quickly.”

Left unmentioned was the fact the shooter, in addition to being armed with an AR-15, was also wearing a ballistic vest. Fortunately the local hero wasn’t limited to Uncle Joe’s shotgun to engage the shooter.

  • This is about Guns. That is all

In case anyone is wondering, the state of Illinois has what can be politely deemed the strictest gun laws in the country. Illinois has ZERO reciprocity with other states regarding guns of any kind. If you’re coming from out of state to hunt deer or porcupines or whatever, you do need a hunting license, but that supports the state’s parks and recreation programs, including game hunting. However, you can’t have the guns riding shotgun in the rack in the pickup truck cab. And considering the theft rate in some areas, I wouldn’t do that, anyway.

It doesn’t seem to matter that there is plenty of anti-gun stuff already in place. There is always some whining soul waiting in the shadows and corners to holler ‘more laws!!’ as loudly as possible, because – well, it gets attention for them in the media and lets them strut in front of the cameras a little bit.

What annoys me more than anything else is that mindless and ignorant repeating meme that guns used in crimes are somehow bought legally. Nor does it matter that anyone, including me, can wave reports from the Tribune and other newspapers in the faces of these timid souls that their perception of guns associated with crime is 180-out wrong, unrealistic, and just plain incorrect.

They find ignorance and corpse dancing to be a lot more attractive than the truth.

There has been a bill SB1657 in the state legislature since February 2017 that requires gun dealers to have licenses, undergo background checks, etc. – you know the drill – in order to sell guns in the first place.  http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/BillStatus.asp?DocNum=1657&GAID=14&DocTypeID=SB&LegId=104404&SessionID=91

The howling and fearful ignore the fact that the “trace” language only gets an original sale point for a gun used in a crime. They purposely fail to recognize that if a gun is stolen and used in a crime, it is not the fault of the dealer or the person who bought it.

It would be nice if these tearful, fearful sobsters took a few minutes out of their precious time with online social media and paid attention to these things, but that would mean they’d have to acknowledge their mistakes and be in touch with reality. Giving up the addiction to electronic media would be quite painful for them.

As this article from the Chicago Tribune, posted back in May this year, indicates, we already have everything in place addressed by SB1657. There is nothing new in it. Zero. Zip. Nada.

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-gun-shops-harmon-senate-illinois-perspec-0511-jm-20170510-story.html

And yet, in this morning’s paper is a letter to the editor from the pastor of one of the Baptist Churches around here that passing this bill will stop corrupt gun dealers. No, do not send him any “hate” mail. I’m sure he’ll get enough in-your-face backtalk from people who know better.

Carjacking is rising in Chicago proper and is creeping out to the suburbs. The carjackers all have guns. They may not be trained in how to use them – probably throw the bullets at you – but the probability of any of them buying them legally is so far below ZERO that the Antarctic continent is warmer in the winter.

As was indicated in an article I posted a few weeks ago, guns are frequently shipped from factories in freight cars that are parked overnight in railyards on Chicago’s south side. Those box cars are broken into all the time. One 2013 break-in resulted in 115 Rugers being stolen. Why so few? It was all the thieves could carry.

I am sick of this ignorance and bullshit.  I don’t know how to shut it down when the facts fly in the face of the people who insist on jumping up and down in front of TV cameras about it. It is far past time that the facts start to overwhelm the hysterics.
