  • Where did “Marines Against Shamar Thomas” go?

    I can’t seem to find the Facebook page anymore. i was going to cruise over and read some of the stuff that you guys have posting here about, but i can’t find it now. there’s monstrously popular “People Against Marines Against Sgt. Shamar Thomas” – it has 22 fans.

    I’m guessing that someone pulled down the MAST” Facebook page, maybe Facebook themselves. But I guess it’s perfectly acceptable to be against Marines who are against that socialist bullshit. Way to represent, Shamar.

  • Perpetuating the myths

    Average NCO sends us a link about a sad sack supposed Vietnam veteran who doesn’t mind using the rest of us veterans to make excuses for his deviant behavior. Apparently, he arrived on the scene of an automobile accident and took it upon himself to relieve a dying victim of $600 in cash and then blame it on his PTSD from Vietnam;

    [David Bilbrey]’s attorney, Deanna Knapp, said her client had served in Vietnam and earned several medals, including six Bronze Stars and a Silver Star. He suffers from chronic and severe post-traumatic stress syndrome as a result of his military service.
    Knapp said when Bilbrey saw the wreck, it triggered a flashback to the violence he had seen in Vietnam.
    “He came across a horrific car accident, Your Honor,” Knapp told Magistrate Judge Keith Whitney. “Massive injuries to Mr. Cox.”
    She said Bilbrey checked Cox’s pulse before picking up the money, but the flashback caused him to shut down. He then got into his car and drove away.
    Knapp said her client had accepted responsibility for his actions from the beginning.
    “I think he was ready at the first court hearing to take care of this,” she said.

    Yeah, I think that if he was ready to take responsibility for his sick behavior, he could have done it without shitting on the rest of us. he claims he had a stack of medals, too…if he’d steal money from a dying man, I’m pretty sure he’d lie about his awards, too. If he was having Vietnam flashbacks, how did he have the wherewithall to hope in his car and drive the fuck off?

  • Marines against Shamar Thomas

    I know Sporkmaster has written a few times about Shamar Thomas, the huge clown who thought it was appropriate to pin his ribbons on his utility uniform and yell at police. Apparently, some other Marines have taken exception with his behavior and formed a Facebook group called Marines Against Shamar Thomas…and he’s not happy about it. Paul sends us these screen shots;

  • Social Security declares “adult baby” no fraud

    We discussed this numbnuts before – Stanley Thornton Jr. who has been living from Social Security checks because of his inability to work since he lives in a diaper. Well, Social Security has determined that he’s not a fraud that his monthly checks will continue;

    Stanley Thornton Jr. now wants an apology from Sen. Tom Coburn, the Oklahoma Republican who called for the benefit review because the investigation disrupted the final months of life for his roommate Sandra Dias, who playacted as his mother, spoon-feeding him and helping him into his baby clothes until her death in July.

    “We recently reviewed the evidence in your Social Security disability claim and find that your disability is continuing,” the agency said in an August letter that Mr. Thornton posted on the website he maintains to document his adult baby lifestyle.

    Yet veterans’ benefits are on the chopping block = how many millions of others are there who shouldn’t be getting a dime of taxpayer dollars for their manufactured “maladies” – their choices, but Congress is ready to make veterans pay.

    Stanley should STFU before he really qualifies for disability.

  • Code Pink: Clean up our mess for us

    As the city of New York begins the process of moving the “occupiers” of Zuccotti Park so they can clean up after the filthy little cretins, the filthy ittle cretins are trying to clean up after themselves to prevent being evicted from the corporate-owned park. And the Code Pink hags want me to help;

    Yeh, hold your breath, I’m on my way. Maybe if you shitbags had cleaned up as fast as you crudded up the place, you wouldn’t have this problem now.

    Some protesters said they would resist; others planned to cooperate but engage in nonviolent civil disobedience if they were not allowed back in the park.

    The anti-war movement of the Vietnam era ended on the streets of New York, this protest against common sense faces the same fate, both can be blamed on the Left and their failure to notice that they’re really nothing but pests and parasites.

    While I was typing this, Fox news reports that the Brookfield Office Properties, the owners of the park, have called off their efforts to clean the park. Fox ran video footage of the cruddy hippies celebrating their victory over sanitary conditions. Now they’re free to continue wallowing in their own filth. I’m sure their parents are so proud.

  • The strange case of Robert Garwood

    Most of the Vietnam veterans among you recognize the name of Robert Garwood as the Marine who defected to the Viet Cong in the closing days of his tour of Vietnam and eventually returned home in 1979 to a court martial that ended exceedingly well for Garwood what with him being a turncoat traitor and all.

    Well, beretverde sends us a link to an encounter that he had with a neighbor. Of course, he claims he was Special Forces and Force Recon in Vietnam, as if no one has ever heard of him.

    It’s a fairly long read that I won’t summarize here, but if you’ve ever wondered whether he was an innocent victim of circumstances, this strange article should disabuse you of that notion.

  • The experts speak on the Iran/al Qaeda slap fight

    Yeah, I read yesterday how al Qaeda criticized Iranian President Ahmadinejad for espousing his truther theories in the UN.

    “The Iranian government has professed on the tongue of its president Ahmadinejad that it does not believe that al Qaeda was behind 9/11 but rather, the U.S. government. So we may ask the question: why would Iran ascribe to such a ridiculous belief that stands in the face of all logic and evidence?” opinion writer Abu Suhail asks.

    Well, I was going to write about it, but then I figured that I’d wait and get the expert opinions, but then instead, I went to VetVoice and read how the whole discussion went straight over dicksmith’s empty and sjiny head;

    I wanted to post this to underscore a point. The Muslim world is not monolithic. But even within the Muslim world, those that oppose American interests are not monolithic either. The fact that both Iran and al-Qaeda do not like us does not mean that they are working together. Or even like each other. We saw this in Iraq with the gangs of local thugs being referred to as “al-Qaeda” in Iraq, when they were, depending on the region, local gangsters or supporters of other internal extremist movements like the Madhi Army.

    Yeah, they’re not monlithic…well, unless you recognize that they all want to kill Americans in droves. The whole Muslim World? Nope, no one ever said the Muslim World wants to kill us all simply because we live in this country. But the groups that dicksmith mentioned certainly do. They all use their religious beliefs to justify their blood lust…so they’re not monolithic if you disregard their central tenet.

    What exploration of this subject would be complete without calling on Veterans Today‘s Senior Editor Gordon Duff, but you almost already know what his take on it is, don’t you?

    Yeah it was an Israeli hoax;

    Highest level sources inside Israel’s military intelligence community are laughing themselves to death.

    They took the American press “hook line and sinker” when a story was put in in what was claimed to be an Al Qaeda ” magazine” threatening Iranian President Ahmadinejad for failing to give “them” credit for 9/11.

    Well, of course it was a hoax – how could Gordo continue to subscribe to his truther conspiracies if al Qaeda actually said in public that they committed the 9/11 attacks on America. And he takes the opportunity to discount the killing of bin Laden, the existence of Adam Gadahn Perlman and somehow Charlie Chaplin has something to do with it, too.

  • This is not the Medal that you want.

    The Purple Heart is one of two medals I hope to never get. It is something that is given in compensation for the sacrifices in a armed conflict. It is something that should not be actively sought. But someone should have told that to David Perelman who shot himself in the foot figuratively and literally.

    A man who served three months in Vietnam as a cargo specialist in 1971 shot himself in the leg 20 years later and claimed it was a shrapnel wound. And as a result, he earned a Purple Heart and $180,000 in disability benefits from the VA in 1994.

    But he shot himself in the foot — figuratively — because he later pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud for stealing the disability benefits and for wearing the medal to a national convention of the Military Order of the Purple Heart in Las Vegas.

    Not surprisingly he tried to say that his actions of were simply freedom of speech. But you know your excuses are bad when even the 9th Court calls you on it.

    But this week, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco declared that argument a stretch. The court clarified the distinction for Perelman, saying he was clearly donning his medal with the intent to deceive others.

    Yep so I am sure you will have a fun time trying to explain how that hole in your foot got there to people.

    Update: Here is a link to the 9th Court Ruling thanks to the link posted by 2-17AirCav.
