  • Bradley Manning’s first day in the Army

    manning tears

    Apparently, Breanna Manning (Bradley once told his commander that he wanted everyone to call him Breanna, according to his lawyer, so we’re just complying with his wishes here), the Wikileaks traitor, has been whining for a while. The above photo of him crying his little eyes out, was taken his first day in the Army and sent to us through a couple of people by someone who went to basic with him. I guess someone should have been paying attention to him from the beginning.

    I’ll admit that I was a little bit scared my first day, but not to the point of tears. Anyway, I thought this was a good way to start your Friday.

  • MP Sentenced for Espionage

    SPC William Colton Millay was an MP in Alaska.  He was also apparently a highly disaffected soldier as well as a white supremacist.

    Millay was so disaffected he decided to up the ante.  He made contact with someone he thought was a Russian agent.  He claimed he had access to sensitive information, and offered to sell it to the Russians.  He then passed the “Russians” sensitive information via a dead-drop.

    Unfortunately for Millay, the “Russian agent” he contacted turned out to be someone working for the FBI.  Oops.

    Millay was court-martialed.  His lawyer negotiated a plea agreement, and he pleaded guilty.

    He was sentenced to 19 years and a DD by the court-martial panel.  Because of the terms of Millay’s plea agreement, his sentence will be capped at 16 years. He’ll get credit for 535 days served awaiting trial and sentencing.

    Perhaps he and Manning can share a cell at Leavenworth.

  • Kevin Mundy; the mirror image airman

    So, someone told me that this dude showed up at his house wearing an Air Force beret and wearing ACUs, claiming to be an Air Force secret squirrel Air Force Major. I’ve blown this picture up and it looks like he has Velcro jump wings on his rank thingie on his ACUs. But that’s probably the least of his uniform problems. Yes, I know it’s not an Air Force beret, but the Air Force doesn’t wear them like that either;

    Kevin Mundy1

    This is supposed to be him, too and it might be, because his beret is still leaning towards his Left ear, but this guy has an 82d combat patch. I’m not sure if Air Force folks are supposed to have combat patches, especially Army unit combat patches. Of course, he might have been prior service, because the uniform is the old “chocolate chip” desert BDUs, but, I don’t know of any NCO in the 82d who would let someone run around with that jacked-up beret. And a beret isn’t a field uniform, neither is having rolled up sleeves – rolled up the Army way. And the picture maybe backwards. Most men wear their watch on their left wrist, and it looks like the magazine eject button is on the wrong side of the rifle.

    Kevin Mundy3

    Thought maybe the picture was a mirror image, because he has the American flag on the wrong shoulder, too, but if it was, he’d have to be driving a British car, wouldn’t he?

    Kevin Mundy

    But here’s his Facebook page;

    Kevin Mundy Facebook
    I admire the dude, it takes a lot of work to get your beret to form completely backwards like that. But, unless he was in the Israeli Air Force he looks like cream cheese on a glazed doughnut.

    Dude might be the real deal, for all I know – but his uniform says something different. And he’s not answering my messages.

  • Phony fire fighter released

    Robert Spalla

    CavScoutCoastie sends us a link from Tampa about Robert Spalla, a 23 year-old who was tooling around in a local fire department shirt scamming people out of free food and stuff. But, the prosecutor decided that it wasn’t illegal;

    In other words, getting free gift cards and meals isn’t the duty of a firefighter, so the statute does not apply.

    Spalla, who has never been a firefighter in the state of Florida, had faced a third-degree felony.

    Police said for six months, Spalla got free meals from businesses around Pinellas County when he wore a T-shirt that featured an official fire department logo. Police said he admitted to telling people he was a firefighter.

    Spalla denied that, and told the Tampa Bay Times there were “several things that went wrong.” He said he collects shirts, and that around Christmas a friend gave him one from the fire department.

    Yeah, well, someone sent me some coffee once, but I don’t go around pretending I’m Juan Valdez.

    From MySunCoast;

    Police say Spalla represented himself to employees at All Children’s Hospital as a firefighter who has been with the St. Pete Fire Department for the past 5 years.

    Hospital employees say he would ask for special privileges, such as food vouchers or gas cards.

    Everyone wants the perks of being heroes without eating the shit sandwich heroes have to eat everyday. There’s something seriously wrong with our culture.

  • Bite Me wants to take your Ferrari

    Chief Tango and Frederik sent us links to an article about Joe Bite Me, the biggest moron on this planet or any other as far as I can tell. I’m not sure what the Hell he’s talking about, but I think he’s coming to take my Ferrari from me, or something;

    Later in the segment, Biden touched upon his own experience with guns, recalling his father’s gun collection. To that point, he noted that the debate surrounding guns used to deal almost exclusively with hunters. But now we have a group of non-hunting gun owners.

    “There is a whole new sort of group of individuals now…that never hunt at all,” Biden said. “But they own guns for one of two reasons — self-protection, or they just like the feel of that AR-15 at the range.”

    “They like the way it feels,” he added. “It’s like driving a Ferrari, you know. And so my impression is there’s not the same sort of cultural norm about gun ownership with a lot of people who are buying guns now.”

    Yeah, I’m guessing that Bite Me’s father didn’t do much hunting with his collection either. But it’s OK for his father to have a collection but not the rest of us. And as far as Bite Me’s feelings go, I wouldn’t trust his finger on the cultural pulse of this country, either. I’m sure that he knows why people are buying guns about as much as I understand the gay marriage issue.

    I like the feel of an AR because it reminds me how I spent half of my adult life. And Bite Me wouldn’t understand that – if he wants the feel of how he spent half of his adult life, all he has to do is a cranial-rectal inversion.

    I used to hunt at every opportunity, but not anymore. Now I have a collection of weapons – you know like Bite Me’s father’s collection.

    Man, I hope that retard gets the presidential nomination in 2016. But knowing the GOP, he’ll probably be their nominee.

    Added: I think Harry Reid is trying to make Bite Me look smart. From Twitchy;

  • Hanoi Jane to vets: get a life

    So The Mr Wolf sends us a link to Fox News in which they report that Jane Fonda tells veterans who want to boycott her latest movie to “get a life”;

    This week, Fonda had a simple message for [Larry Reyes, a Navy veteran and founder of the “Boycott Hanoi Jane Playing Nancy Reagan” Facebook page] and the page’s fans.

    “Get a life.”

    In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Fonda said of her casting: “If it creates hoopla, it will cause more people to see the movie… I figured it would tweak the right. Who cares?”

    Yeah, she doesn’t sound as contrite as she did last week when she apologized (sort of) to veterans for being a prop in the propaganda war against them in North Vietnam. I guess she figures she ought to fire up her anti-American supporters, because the rest of us aren’t going to see her movie. I can admit that I never saw any of her movies, I certainly wasn’t going to start with this one.

  • Nutjob fired, shows up at work with a stick, arrested

    A story from the Associated Press tells the tale of 20-year-old Kyle Kovac who was fired from his job at Northern Manufacturing Inc. in the Erie Industrial Park in Ohio. Later he showed up on the property dressed in camouflaged clothing carrying a knife, an air pistol and a stick;

    Kovac, of Fremont, has been charged with two counts each of aggravated menacing, inducing panic and carrying concealed weapons. He was also charged with one count of possession of criminal tools.

    The Toledo Blade says that they found another knife in his car along with “an Airsoft pistol with a suppressor attached”. So, the dude was 20 years old and I’m guessing that he wasn’t an honorably discharged veteran, and since he didn’t have a real gun, probably not a gun owner or he would have brought that instead of the Airsoft toy. So clearly, his erratic behavior had nothing to do with any military service or the fact that he was a gun nut – so can we blame society and the culture for producing these little creeps yet?

    And of course, the media is making a mountain out of this young mole hill, all of the articles are headlined that he was “armed” or came “with a weapon” which is essentially true, but not in the way they want you to understand it.

  • Dan Choi sentenced

    CHOI_HANDCUFFEDX633

    The above photo is of Dan Choi and his little band of misfits headed to his sentencing in DC yesterday. I don’t know what the whole uniform thing is about – Choi has been out of the Army for three years – are those the only clothes he owns? The gay community should pitch in and buy him some more appropriate clothes. Yes, he’s in violation of Army regulations about wearing his uniform after the service. Too bad he can’t be prosecuted for that, too.

    It seems to me that if Choi really wanted to get back in the Army, he’d stop using the uniform as a political costume. Some of us are proud to have worn the uniform and some of us take offense.

    He looks like shit, too. I guess being an activist is beating the life out of him.

    But, regardless, he was fined $100 for not moving along when told to move along in front of the White House after chaining himself to the White House fence – while wearing ACUs. I think he got off easy – but the government probably wanted to just get rid of him.
