  • Bill Brockbrader – Last Follow-Up for a While

    Bill Brockbrader – AKA “Bill Wood” AKA “the Psychic SEAL” – has been featured here previously at TAH.  But it looks like he’ll be out of circulation for a while.

    Brockbrader was convicted in December 2012 of failing to register as a sex offender.  In late March, he was sentenced to 30 months (2 1/2 years) in prison – plus an additional 10 years on probation afterwards.

    This guy is a loon, a totally worthless POS, and a waste of oxygen.  Among his “claims to fame”:  sexual contact with a 12 year old; sex with a 15 year old; time in the Navy brig, Miramar NAS, for sex crimes; false claims of being a SEAL; bizarre claims about Area 51; claims that either the WTC or Pentagon on 9/11 was hit by a “Tomahawk missile” vice an airliner; repeatedly disabling his court-ordered monitoring equipment; and a bunch of other idiotic and criminal crap.

    Oh, and he also was trying to claim “whistleblower status” to report “war crimes and misconduct” by DoD in the late 1990s/early 2000s.  Nice guy, eh?

    Then the tool actually had the gall to request post-conviction release, and to make statements in his own behalf for the judge to consider.  Bad move, Billy-boy.  The prosecutor got to question him – and absolutely tore him a new anus, if not 2 or 3.   And the judge denied his request, of course.

    Courtesy of Don Shipley’s Facebook page and YouTube Channel, you can listen to the courtroom audio of that here (part 1) and here (part 2).  It’s about 17 1/2 min total.

    Yeah, Brockbrader even sounds like a whiny phony loser who’s still in denial.  With that attitude, I predict he’ll really “fit right in” wherever he’s sent to do his time in prison.

    Seriously:  this guy is a perfect example of a low-life shitbag.  Prison couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

    Mondo hat-tip to Don Shipley for the above audio.  Thanks, Don.

  • Shane Ladner an “Iraq Vet”? Don’t Think So

    There’s been much talk recently at TAH about a guy named Shane Ladner (see here, here, and here).

    Ladner has made multiple dubious claims.  He’s claimed he has a Purple Heart, and to have gotten it in Panama (later admitted by Ladner to be an intentional falsehood – he now claims he really got it in a “secret anti-drug mission in Central America”), to have served in in Somalia, and to have served in Iraq.

    I’ve seen comments elsewhere on this site that indicate Ladner has admitted many of his claims were lies – and in particular, that he’s admitted his claims of Somalia and Iraq service were lies.  But I’ve not seen any published accounts of Ladner admitting those claims were lies.  The original reports of his Somalia and Iraq service were published by the media, and they’re still out there for people to see.  Ladner was the only plausible source for those claims.  So until I see a published report that he’s admitted his past claims of Somalia and Iraq service were lies, I’m regarding those claims of Somalia and Iraq service to still be “on the table”.

    Ladner’s attorney has released what purports to be a DD214 relating to one of Ladner’s periods of active duty service.  The attorney apparently did this to bolster Ladner’s claims of having a Purple Heart and being a “war hero”.

    However, releasing that document that may have been of a mistake.  The DD214 released by Ladner’s lawyer – plus what’s known about Ladner’s military career from other sources (see the video at this link) – together provide persuasive evidence that Ladner never served in Iraq.  This in turn proves a second claim made by Ladner to be false, and thus calls into question all of his other unsupported claims.

    Background

    There are only two times that the US Army has conducted combat operations in Iraq.  The first time was during the first Gulf War (Desert Storm, 1991).  The second time was the more recent Iraq War (2003-2011).  That means in order to have served in Iraq, Ladner must have deployed there during one of those two periods of time.

    A look at Ladner’s DD214 discloses a problem.  Each of these conflicts has decorations – specifically, certain campaign or expeditionary medals – that specifically recognize service in Iraq.   If Ladner ever served in Iraq as he claims, and if if the DD214 is legitimate and accurate, his DD214 should show at least one of those awards.

    None of those decorations are present on the DD214 in question.  That means things aren’t “adding up.”  So lets take a closer look at Ladner’s “I served in Iraq claim”.

  • A Novel Way of Supplementing Income

    Everyone knows that junior enlisted guys and gals don’t make all that much.  But it seems as if one soldier found a . . .  creative way of supplementing his income.

    Anthony Pirone was unemployed.  He was drawing unemployment compensation in CA.

    He finally got fed up with being jobless.  So in May 2011, he enlisted.  He’s currently serving in Afghanistan.

    There’s only one tiny problem.  It seems Pirone didn’t notify the state of California he was employed after he enlisted.  In fact, according to the state of California he filed false affidavits at least 10 times stating he had no job after he’d enlisted.  He also cashed the unemployment checks he received between May and Decembeer 2011.

    Since Pirone is currently deployed, his trial will be delayed until after he returns from deployment.  But then he’ll have to answer a few rather pointed questions.

    By the way:  if you’re thinking you’ve heard the name “Anthony Pirone” – you just might have.  Pirone is one of the BART cops that was involved in the 2009 New Year’s Day shooting incident in Oakland.  He was later fired for his actions that night, which reportedly were recorded on video and included striking the guy who later was shot, yelling racial epithets, and in general contributing to the escalation of the incident.  Nice guy.

    Oh, and I’m guessing Pirone was pulling in a fair chunk in unemployment – which explains why he might have been reluctant to give it up.  At the time he was fired by BART, he was making in excess of $100k a year in salary and overtime.

  • GI Film Festival to perpetuate “Unclaimed” myth

    Even though the film “Unclaimed” has been proven to be a fraudulent piece of crap, the film maker and the GI Film Festival people still plan to show it according to Good Morning, America;

    “I am absolutely convinced, 100 percent, that the family is convinced it is him,” [Canadian director Michael Jorgensen] said of Robertson’s sister and brother-in-law. “I never set out to prove his identity. The film was about one Vietnam veteran’s journey to help a guy find this man’s family. … Tom’s story amazing story of what it means to be human.”

    As for the director of the GI Film Festival, he says “Unclaimed” is an important film that needs to be screened.

    “Whether fact or fiction, “Unclaimed” is a fascinating story about a Vietnam veteran … who dedicates himself to bringing home someone he believes to be an American GI left behind,” said [Brandon L. Millett, co-founder and president of the GI Film Festival].

    “Even if he is chasing a myth, we feel his story is compelling and worth telling, as long as it is accompanied by a disclosure to viewers about the controversy surrounding it.”

    The director’s intent is clearly not to make Americans look good, since he believes that Dang Tan Ngoc is SGT Robinson and wants to push that mistaken view on American audiences. Earlier today, a commenter wrote on this blog, that Dang Tan Ngoc is well known to him as a fraud and a grifter;

    I served as the Commander of the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command Detachment 2 in Hanoi from 2008-2010. This poser is half French and half ethnic Vietnamese. He and his handlers are scam artists well-known to the POW/MIA specialists in country. Bilking tourists, normally veterans, out of money with their nonsense is their specialty. The Defense Prisoner of War Missing Personnel Office first received photographs and video of the man claiming to be Robertson in 2002 and FBI fingerprint analysis subsequently proved that he is NOT Robertson. How a credentialed journalist could fall for this outlandish story without substantiating his claims and producing a worthless documentary to propogate this lie is unconscionable. This is a fraud and the documentary should not be allowed to be shown at the G.I. Film Festival at all. It dishonors the memory of the real John Hartley Robertson, a decorated Special Forces Soldier.

    That commenter was also interviewed by our buddy, Robert Johnson at Business Insider yesterday;

    Someone else familiar with Ngoc’s story is Lieutenant Colonel Todd Emoto (Ret.)
    commander of the Joint Prisoner of War Accounting Command in Hanoi from 2008 to 2010.

    “In the two years I oversaw that office there were at least half-a-dozen investigations into the [Ngoc] case,” Emoto told Business Insider in a phone interview from his home in Washington.

    Even though a case has already been looked into and found baseless, the U.S. government mandates that a fresh investigation be initiated “every single time, no matter what,” Emoto said.

    “I mean this guy was a frequent flier at our office,” the colonel said, his voice rising. “It totally blows my mind that he’s gotten this far. He forgot how to speak English and his kid’s names? Who falls for that?”

    Emoto said the ruse of impersonating a missing servicemember is a common guise used in Vietnam to rob tourists of their cash.

    Dang Tan Ngoc is known among our folks on the ground there as a fraud, the FBI says Ngoc’s fingerprints, and now his DNA don’t match SGT Robinson’s, so where is there reason to create this film at all? It’s no longer a documentary, but a work of fiction, given the film maker’s commitment to the false premise of the film.

    The only thing missing is an interview with Gordon Duff to explain to us how shooting down the aircraft that SGT Robinson rode in was a false flag operation executed by Mossad and a young fighter pilot named George W. Bush.

  • Rivera sentenced

    TSO sends us a link to the Washington Post which reports that the deserter, Kimberly Rivera, who we discussed yesterday, pleaded guilty to two counts of desertion and she was sentenced to ten months in the lock-up. I guess it was two counts because because she was such a fatass. Oh, yeah, and that f*cking dumbass James Branum was her lawyer;

    During her sentencing hearing, government lawyers argued that Rivera, who was granted leave shortly into her tour to work out marital issues, failed to return because her husband threatened to leave her and take their children, The Gazette reported.

    Rivera’s civilian defense attorney, James Matthew Branum, argued that Rivera never filed for status as a conscientious objector because she didn’t know the option was available to her. He said Rivera should have been informed about it when she met with a chaplain in Iraq over concerns that she couldn’t take a life, The Gazette reported.

    Since when do truck drivers “take a life”?

    So all of that shit about how she opposed the war, blah, blah, blah was BS, and that defense Branum used is the same one that he uses for all of his idiot clients, that no one ever told her she could be a conscientious objector. Yeah, well, having a fatass lazy husband who doesn’t want to take care of the kids he produced after he convinced his wife to join the Army doesn’t make you a conscientious objector, dumbass.

    At least Branum’s record is intact – every single one of his military clients end up in prison. Yeah, I’d hire him.

  • Andre Shepherd still waiting for the Germans to make up their minds

    We first met Andre Shepherd in November 2007 when he deserted from the Army while he was stationed in Germany and preparing for a second deployment to Iraq. Of course, his story was that he was tired of killing Iraqis in his job as an Apache technician. Some of his workmates later came on the blog and told us that it was total bullshit. When they were in Iraq the first time he was so incompetent that they wouldn’t let him near an Apache and had him running the unit’s recreation area. So unless he was counting zombies in the video games his mates claimed he played all day long for his deployment, he didn’t see anyone killed, not did he participate in any activity that would result in anyone’s death.

    Another guy who knew Shepherd before he joined the Army told us that Shepherd was living in his car and ripping off his friends. In the article today in the Stars & Stripes, Shepherd says that among his hate mail he found a letter from the recruiter who put him in the Army expressing his personal regret.

    The real story, according to his fellow troops is that Shepherd has a german girlfriend and didn’t feel comfortable leaving her alone for a year during his deployment – the foundation of any good relationship. But he’s still living in Germany and although the government decided to boot him out back in 2011, he’s still living there awaiting an appeal of the decision;

    His personal life has settled in the meantime. Married to a German, finishing his education and working in an office outside Munich, Shepherd has come a long way from his life before the Army when, after failed efforts at school and work, he lived for a time out of the back of his car.

    His attorney believes his current circumstances mean he’s unlikely to face deportation, even if he fails to win his case for political asylum.

    In an interview earlier this year, the 35-year-old said, despite a lengthy case with little sign of resolution, he doesn’t regret his decision.

    “I find this to be a really great adventure,” Shepherd said.

    Yeah, treachery is just a great adventure. I hope he chokes on it. Oh, by the way, as if it needed to be said, IVAW’s European branch supported him for a while;

  • Rivera faces court martial

    Kimberly-Rivera

    I first wrote about Kimberly Rivera back on New Year’s Day 2009. She deserted while on mid-tour leave from Iraq. I’m sure her flight to Canada didn’t hinder our mission there, but it’s the idea that she up-and-left while her unit was waiting for her to come back and scrub the porta-potties and supervise the burn pit. But Canada has been trying to eject her baby-factory ass for the last four years. I guess she’s finally left and now she’s facing a court martial according to the Colorado Springs Gazette.

    A Fort Carson soldier who became the first woman to flee to Canada to avoid a second tour in Iraq will face a court martial Monday.

    Pfc. Kimberly Rivera, who is assigned to the post’s 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team is charged with desertion.

    Rivera went to Canada in February 2007 after saying she could no longer support the mission in Iraq, where she had served a year earlier, The Associated Press reported.

    Yeah, it wasn’t the war. Her over-nourished husband got tired of taking care of his progeny while she went to Iraq – by the way, he talked her into joining the Army while they were living on her parents’ basement and squirting out babies while they both worked at WalMart. They took the signing bonus that she got for joining the Army and spent it on a leather couch which they abandoned when they went to Canada where she continued squirting out babies at Canadian taxpayer expense.

    According to her interview in Marie Claire, she went to Canada because her plus-sized husband was pouting while he played his video games while she was home on leave, so she decided to abscond. If it was up to me, her husband would be on trial along side her, because he is a huge waste of skin and he’s as much at fault for this as Kimberly.

    But they’re both shitbags. I wonder if he’ll pout when he takes the kids to see Mom in the brig.

    Thanks to TSO for the link.

  • Breanna Manning named SanFran’s Pride Princess

    Update; Ooops. I guess someone lost their job over this, according to the Huffington Post;

    “That was an error, and that person has been disciplined. He does not now, nor did he at that time, speak for SF Pride,” Williams said.

    A committee of former San Francisco Pride grand marshals did select the 25-year-old Manning, who is openly gay, for the honor, but the Pride Board decided his nomination would be a mistake, Williams said.

    manning tears

    Anonymous in JAX sends us a link to the announcement that the Grand Marshall of San Francisco’s 2014 Gay Pride event will be Breanna Manning giving us an opportunity to use our exclusive file photo of the whiny little turd. Of course, due to his incarceration he won’t be able to attend, so the community is exhuming the rotted corpse of Daniel Ellsburg to stand in his/her place.

    In past years, Manning pride contingents have marched in New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., Boston, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Even wider national support is expected this year, in anticipation of his summer court martial.

    Yeah, you idiots, go ahead and cleave to his treachery. I guess you want to own the deaths that have resulted from his leaks of classified information, despite his pledge to his country and his service to refrain from that traitorous behavior. It just proves how disconnected Americans are from the people who protect them. And how little these cretins care about the people who put their lives on the line for them.
