  • Kokesh’s drug caper

    TSO sends us a link that was just updated at the Washington Post at 2:05pm today in reference to Adam Kokesh’s arrest in the late night hours. Apparently the drugs involved were hallucinogenic mushrooms. Of course, that doesn’t come as much of a surprise to regular readers of this blog, since we knew of his drug problem years ago when we got this screen capture from his old blog when he announced his candidacy for the House seat in New Mexico and we figured we had better take notes before the stuff disappeared;

    Kokesh drugs

    In the first paragraph, he admits to mixing gin and Xanax. When we first read that, TSO offered to help him get treatment at the VA, but he declined stating that he didn’t know that mixing drug and alcohol wasn’t an approved treatment for his problems.

    Kokesh refused to be fingerprinted or arraigned, or to speak with court officials on Wednesday morning, said Nancy Lake, Clerk of the Fairfax County General District Court.

    He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 2.

    “We were expecting this. We were expecting the government to raid our house,” Darrell Young, Kokesh’s roommate, told WRC-TV (Channel 4).

    Yeah, so why were the mushrooms there, smart guy? For your pizza?

  • I am Breanna Manning’s pet

    Breanna Manning dweeb

    Yeah, I thought it was a joke, too, when I first saw the picture on Facebook posted by one of our friends, but the dude is totally serious;

    My name is Andrew Williams I am an artist living in West Cork Ireland. I support Bradley because telling the truth means you are true to yourself and that is what i want to be .

    Yup, it’s at the “I am Breanna Manning” website. I guess “true to yourself” means throwing a hissy fit when he’s dumped by his boyfriend and copying classified material to a Lady Gaga CD.

    But he does have Manning’s empty-headed look down pat;

    manning tears

  • Hasan objects to wearing uniform

    Jury selection began yesterday in the Nidal Hasan trial, you know, the one that we’ve been waiting for nearly four years now, according to the Associated Press. The judge, Colonel Tara Osborne explained to the prospective jurors that Hasan was wearing a camouflaged uniform instead of Class As because of the fact that he’s paralyzed and the work uniform is more conducive to his condition than the restrictive dress uniform. Of course, Hasan doesn’t want to wear any uniform;

    At a hearing earlier Tuesday, Hasan said he wanted jurors to know that he was being forced to wear a uniform that he believes represents “an enemy of Islam.” Hasan, an American-born Muslim, had said he didn’t want to wear either military uniform.

    I wonder if he feels the same way about taking the American taxpayer dollars that are direct deposited to his checking account while he craps in an American taxpayer-funded colostomy bag and eats his meals paid for by American taxpayers. He ought to file another motion that would allow him to only wear clothes, eat food, accept medical treatment that is donated by Muslim sympathizers.

  • Kokesh assures us that his gun was real

    Local DC News interviews Adam Kokesh about his little video in which he loads a shotgun two blocks from the White House in Freedom Plaza;

    View more videos at: http://nbcwashington.com.

    Kokesh promises to hold his open-carry march on DC next Fourth of July;

    “Now that we have a year, now that we’re doing something that’s much more open-sourced, we’re going to be marching again next Independence Day, and it’s going to be the route that we had planned,” Kokesh told Segraves on Monday. “If people want to march for whatever reason they want to, that’s fine. It’s not about guns; it’s about challenging the authority here in Washington, D.C.”

    Yeah, I predicted the last wouldn’t fly, and I predict the same for this one. Kokesh uses his prior arrests as proof that he’ll eventually have his march, but his other arrests were for minor offenses. DC doesn’t play when it comes to firearms. Fair? Nope, not at all, but that’s the reality of it.

    Oh, yeah, Kokesh is still calling for a new American Revolution, I guess as long as his participation is early in the morning when no one notices him, like in the video he took at Freedom Plaza.

  • Snowden offered refuge in Venezuela & Nicaragua

    Fox News reports that Eddie Snowden, the NSA contractor turned spy, who is apparently living in the Sbarro’s at the Moscow airport these days, or something, has been offered refuge in those two bastions of free speech, Venezuela and Nicaragua. I hope he chooses Nicaragua, that’s the communist paradise that he deserves.

    Yesterday, some dingus in Iceland’s Althing, their parliament, introduced legislation to make Snowden an Icelandic citizen, but that didn’t fly according to Reuters;

    Six members of Iceland’s parliament tabled a proposal late on Thursday to grant Snowden citizenship after they received a request from him via WikiLeaks, opposition parliamentarian Birgitta Jonsdottir said.

    But a majority of parliamentarians voted late on Thursday against allowing the proposal to be put on the agenda, a day before parliament went into summer recess. It does not reconvene until September.

    So, Iceland is right out. But, Ana Chapman, the Russian spy who was booted from the US recently, Tweeted Snowden a marriage proposal says the Scotsman.

    A Twitter account, believed to be Anna Chapman’s, tweeted: “Snowden, will you marry me?!” A few hours later the same account followed up with, “@nsa, will you look after our children?”

    Anna Chapman, who was one of 10 Russians arrested and deported by the United States in 2010, is now famous for hosting the Russian TV show “Secrets of the World” which investigates topics ranging from astrology to wizards of the 21st century.

    So, his life is just blossoming with options, not that he’ll take advantage of any of the good ones. I’m rooting for the Nicaragua option.

  • Kokesh’s one-man open carry protest in DC

    We discussed Iraq Veterans Against the War member Adam Kokesh and his crackpot march on DC with loaded, openly carried weapons last May. Well, since the DC cops and the Park Police kind of shut down that idea from the get-go, he went all by his lonesome to Freedom Plaza, a few blocks from the White House, and loaded a shotgun. It’s here on this video;

    According to WUSA9, the Park police are aware of the video;

    US Park Police know about the video, says a spokesman, and they responded to Freedom Plaza to investigate. Park Police officers did not find Kokesh, or any protest going on, there.

    The spokesperson said Park Police are investigating, but at this point cannot determine how the video was recorded, and if and when Kokesh may have been at Freedom Plaza with a gun.

    After speaking with the USPP spokesperson, the Metropolitan Police Department released the following statement:

    “The Metropolitan Police Department and US Park Police are aware that today Adam Kokesh posted a video that appears to have been taken in Freedom Plaza in Northwest, DC. We are in the process of determining the authenticity of the video.”

    Thanks for making us gun owners look like crazy people, Adam. It’s almost like Kokesh is working against gun rights. I mean, it’s not like he’s pretended to be on the opposite side of an issue to make one of his pointless points.

  • Coke head Evo Morales grounded

    The Associated Press reports that European governments suspected that Evo Morales, the coca-leaf-chewing president of Bolivia was smuggling Eddie Snowden, the rogue NSA contractor, out of Russia in his private jet, so those countries withdrew permission for the president to cross into their airspace, forcing him to land in Austria. Austrian authorities say that Snowden wasn’t on the presidential aircraft.

    A furious Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca said France and Portugal would have to explain why they canceled authorization for the plane, claiming that the decision had put the president’s life at risk.

    “We don’t know who invented this lie” that Snowden was traveling with Morales, Choquehuanca said in La Paz. “We want to denounce to the international community this injustice with the plane of President Evo Morales.”

    In a midnight press conference, Bolivian Vice President Alvaro Garcia said that not only France and Portugal, but also Italy and Spain were denying the plane permission to fly through their airspace.

    He described Morales as being “kidnapped by imperialism” in Europe.

    I guess Morales, the former coca farmer, and supporter of the late communist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, was contemplating allowing Snowden take refuge from justice in his country.

  • “Former Marine” who foiled bank robbery, was a bank robber

    Mary sends us a link to The Blaze which reports that Eugene Storley, who is told the media that he was a Marine and stopped a bank robbery in Florida (we talked about him last week) was himself a bank robber in the 1970s;

    Storley told multiple news outlets he is a Marine Corps veteran and former Miami police officer, but as the Space Coast Daily reported Saturday, not only is there no record of Storley as a Florida law enforcement officer, he pleaded guilty to bombing a bank in New Jersey in the 1970s:

    A Federal Agent refuted Storley’s claims of service as a U.S. Marine Veteran and law enforcement officer. The agent also detailed Storley’s conviction for the bombing of the National State Bank in Trenton, New Jersey in 1977. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said they have no record of Storley ever being a law enforcement officer in the state of Florida.

    So, we’re looking for his records now, and Mary couldn’t find him in her database of Vietnam veterans.
