    Staff Sergeant Michael Edward Harris; wanted by Army

    Staff Sergeant Michael Edward Harris

    Someone dropped off this link on our Facebook page in regards to Staff Sergeant Michael Edward Harris who is on the Army’s top 20 most wanted criminals. He’s wanted to answer for charges of 44 counts of possessing child pornography and crimes including indecent acts upon a child and forced sodomy.

    “I want him located. I want him found. I want him brought back to serve his punishment,” said Sgt. Harris’ former wife Denise Diaz who lives in Kentucky.

    […]

    Sgt. Harris was reported absent without leave (AWOL) on Jan. 17 and formally charged with desertion in February.

    Diaz tells CBS5 that Harris has been stationed in New York, Missouri, Hawaii, Florida and Korea. She believes there are more victims of his alleged sexual perversion.

    “The fact that he seeks them out and tries to cram that he’s a soldier and was a police officer is just beyond disgusting. There’s no punishment besides death to me in my opinion for what he’s done,” Diaz said.

    The Army says that Harris boarded a flight for Cambodia in January.

  • Walsh’s masters degree revoked

    John Walsh

    The Associated Press reports that former colonel and appointed Senator, John Walsh, admitted that the Army War College revoked his masters degree after their investigation since August of charges that he had plagiarized much of his thesis;

    The college assigned the case to its academic review board, which began its investigation Aug. 15 after giving Walsh time to submit documentation in his defense.

    Walsh has called the unattributed use of others’ work an “unintentional mistake.” He said he was being treated for symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder following his deployment in Iraq, but added he was not blaming PTSD for his mistake.

    Then why even mention the PTS thing, if he’s not blaming the condition for his lying ass? I’m still waiting for him to prove that he was being treated for PTS, since he brought it up, otherwise people are going to think that PTS makes people lie their stupid asses off. It will become part of the popular culture like “Rambo” if someone doesn’t force Walsh to prove that he was being treated, again, since he brought it up. We already know that his estimate of IED attacks that he lived through has been been reduced down to one. Well, he’s out of politics for the time being, until the next time. Plagiarism hasn’t had an impact on Joe Bite Me’s electability.

    Fort Hood soldiers arrested for smuggling illegals

    Eric a. Rodriguez

    Stars & Stripes reports that three Fort Hood soldiers were arrested for their participation in a gambit to smuggle illegal aliens into this country.

    The soldiers — Eric Alexander Rodriguez, 20, Brandon Troy Robbins, 20, and Christopher David Wix, 21— each face up to 10 years in federal prison and a possible $250,000 fine if convicted of one count of conspiracy to transport and harbor aliens and six counts of transporting aliens, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

    All three were arrested Thursday at Fort Hood in Killeen.

    Robbins is accused of transporting two undocumented persons on April 13. Wix is charged with transporting two on June 21.

    Arnoldo Gracia, a 45-year-old Harlingen man and alleged smuggler, is also named in the indictment and accused of aiding and abetting the three soldiers. Authorities arrested him Wednesday.

    We talked about Eric Rodriguez, an ammunition handler with the 1st Cav, last month. Robbins is in the transportation field and Wix is quartermaster.

  • Leon Panetta is a POS

    Leon Panetta is a POS

    Since the day that Leon Panetta was nominated for the position of Secretary of Defense, this blog has had few kind words for him. Now that he’s saying the things that we want to hear, I see no need to change that policy. If you haven’t been paying attention, The National Journal outlines some of the things that Panetta wrote in his book and that he’s saying on his book tour. But we said in the beginning that Panetta was nominated by this administration for his job for his political acumen not because he brought any war-fighting skills to the office.

    I’ll remind you that every f’n weekend while he was in office, Panetta flew his staff to his home in California at taxpayer expense ($33,000/pop) while the troops he commanded spent months, if not years away from their families. While he was making those trips to the West Coast, he was planning to cut his subordinates’ healthcare and pay. He was a politician, not a leader.

    The National Journal titled their article “Why Obama Won’t Listen to Leon Panetta”. That’s easy, he wasn’t hired to be an adviser – he was hired to be a rubber stamp. Yeah, I know, he’s being tough on the president these days in interviews with O’Reilly and everyone else. So what? How is that courageous? Courage would have been resigning while this administration was destroying the Defense establishment of the United States instead of sniping from the sidelines years later.

    By the way, Panetta is a Clinton supporter – he’s always been a Clinton-supporter and his job these days is to clear the decks for Hillary’s run at the White House – to distance her from this failed administration.

    But remember, Panetta’s job at Defense was to screw the troops and to find Defense money to pay for the social programs at the expense of our National Security. Now, that job has fallen to Hagel.
    Panetta is Washington and Washington is Panetta – everything that is wrong with both.

  • 7 Florida vets arrested for VA fraud

    7 Florida vets arrested for VA fraud

    “MCPO Ret. In TN” sends us a link to CBS12 News in West Palm Beach where 7 veterans were arrested for filing false travel vouchers for their trips to the VA hospital, some of them didn’t even have drivers’ licenses;

    They’re accused of submitting almost $150,000 worth of fraudulent requests for travel reimbursements.

    Some veterans, depending on their income and other factors, can be reimbursed for travel when they go to and from the VA Medical Center to see a doctor.

    But the feds found some veterans in our area were lining their pockets, submitting bogus travel expenses for reimbursement.

    “These are dollars that could’ve been going to veterans’ care and instead they’re going into pockets of people who didn’t deserve it,” said U.S. Rep. Ted Deutch, Florida Dist. 21.

    In some cases investigators say the veterans took the Tri-Rail train or Palm Tran Bus to the VA Medical Center, but they turned in travel vouchers claiming they drove there so they could be reimbursed at a higher rate for mileage on their car.

    That’s why we can’t have nice things. Of course, their $150k pales to what VA spends every day on frivolous shit, but that doesn’t justify their criminality.

  • John Walker Dies in Prison

    The     traitorous bastard     convicted Soviet spy named John Walker has died.  Though scheduled for release next year after serving 30 years of a life sentence, he did not live long enough to see another day as a free man.

    For those of you who are unfamiliar with Walker’s treachery – and the results of same – a short version can be found here.

    Rot in hell, Walker.  Hopefully this means Zarkman now has a 2nd roomate.

    (Hat tip to TAH reader ohio for posting the link regarding Walker’s demise in comments.)

  • Blue Falcon Walsh drops out of Senate race

    Blue Falcon Walsh drops out of Senate race

    John Walsh

    Fox News reports that John Walsh, the fellow who cheated on his thesis at the Army War College by plagiarizing a large portion of it, and then blaming it on PTS from hundreds of IED blasts (by “hundreds” he actually meant one…maybe), is not running for the Senate this time around;

    Walsh’s political team initially said the allegations “will not change Senator Walsh’s commitment to his campaign.” Since that time, the drumbeat for Walsh to pull out has grown in his home state. Three of Montana’s largest newspapers recently called for him to withdraw his candidacy, while others have demanded he apologize or forfeit his master’s degree.

    […]

    Walsh had until Monday, Aug. 11 to drop out of the race and remove himself from the ballot. Democrats now have until Aug. 20 to tap a replacement candidate and have him or her appear on the ballot.

    I still want proof that he has been treated for PTS.

  • Update on inter-service argument murder; Cunningham’s military records

    Update on inter-service argument murder; Cunningham’s military records

    Cunningham

    TSO sends us a link to the Billings Gazette which updates the story of William Earl Cunningham, the 63-year-old who stabbed to death 40-year-old Nathaniel Horn to prove that the Army is a better service than the Marine Corps. Apparently, the police haven’t been able to verify Cunningham’s military records yet, but they have access to other records on him;

    “The defendant is a violent multi-state violent offender who slashed the victim’s throat over an argument about the military,” Deputy Yellowstone County Attorney Chris Morris told the judge during bond arguments.

    Morris listed several felony California convictions for Cunningham — including for assault with a deadly weapon and willful child cruelty — dating back to the 1970s. Cunningham has lived in Yellowstone County, where he has felony convictions for drug possession and forgery, since at least 1996, the prosecutor said.

    Morris said later Tuesday that investigators haven’t yet been able to independently verify if Cunningham or Horn served in the military.

    Well, Cunningham was in the Army, the good folks at Guardian of Valor sent us his FOIA. If you’re interested, here are his records;

    William Cunningham FOIA

    He spent 3 years, ETS’d and reenlisted before the year was out, took another burst and got out again before four years was up as an E-4. He was an airborne-qualified carpenter.

    So, he’s off the street for the time being on a 1/2 million dollar bond, but I’m thinking that with felony convictions back to the 70s that he has been using his military career as an excuse for his bad behavior for a long time.
