    Hasan K. Akbar disputes death sentence

    In 2003, Hasan K. Akbar tossed grenades into a shelter killing Capt. Christopher S. Seifert and Air Force Maj. Gregory L. Stone while his unit was preparing to enter Iraq in the opening days of that war. Two years later he was convicted and sentenced to death. Now, his lawyer is trying to save his worthless life, according to Stars & Stripes because the jury was allowed to read his diary without some sort of “context”;

    Attorneys for 43-year-old Hasan K. Akbar argued on Tuesday that the one-time sergeant’s writings, which include details of how he converted to radical Islam, were so inflammatory, that without the proper context, jurors were most likely to focus on the most damaging parts while considering whether to impose a death sentence.

    “They didn’t present the information in any meaningful way,” said Lt. Col. John Potter, a military lawyer arguing the case for Akbar before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in Washington.

    Dude threw four hand grenades into several tents while his fellow soldiers slept. I don’t know what other kind of “proper context” there could be. I understand that a lawyer’s job to keep their client alive, but this one needs to rot in a hole somewhere. They shouldn’t have brought his diary into it in the first place. It doesn’t matter why he did it, he did it.

    Phony vet in your school

    super-creepy-rob-lowe

    We’ve talked a lot about some of these phonies who use their fake stories and bling to talk to students for whatever their reason. Someone dropped off a link to our Facebook page about 23-year-old Jonathan Campbell who did just that in Pennsylvania and ended up in the hoosegow;

    At the time he was dressed in an Air Force uniform, but said he was a veteran of the Army and wanted to speak to the students about Veterans Day.

    However, officials at the school told police that based on how Campbell was acting and how he looked, they didn’t think he was legitimate.

    The principal then escorted him off of campus and contacted police.

    Campbell was arrested and charged with impersonating a public servant. He is currently in the Fayette County Prison on a $10,000 straight cash bond.

    Yeah, dude wasn’t even trying – doesn’t know the difference between Army and Air force uniforms. They ought to drop him off into Mosul in that orange uniform that he’s wearing now.

    30 years from now, he’ll be caught doing the same thing – but he’ll be better at it by then.

  • “Border militia” chief had a bomb?

    “Border militia” chief had a bomb?

    KC Massey

    MySanAntonio reports that the leader of the militia people at Camp LoneStar. KC Massey, was found to have bomb making material in his hotel room near Brownsville, Texas recently. Oh, yeah, and he is a felon who illegally possessed firearms;

    Agents with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, who searched Massey’s hotel room in Brownsville after an Oct. 20 arrest, found an AK-47 with six loaded magazines, a loaded handgun, a ballistic helmet and several cameras, as well as the ammunition box filled with suspected ammonium nitrate and fuel, according to court documents obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.

    […]

    Massey was arrested in connection to an Aug. 29 incident during which a Border Patrol agent fired four shots at a man pointing a weapon at the agent near the Rio Grande while pursuing a group of immigrants east of Brownsville, according to documents from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in Brownsville.

    Apparently, the BATFE folks have found a number of these “border militia” folks to be felons in possession of firearms. And, you know to pollute the immigration issue with their special brand of criminality, the goofballs at these organizations, somehow think that felons have a second amendment right to possess firearms.

    If I don’t want a felon to have the right to vote, I certainly can’t defend a felon’s right to own a firearm. The “border militias” are becoming a hideout for criminals, I guess, a place they can become folk heroes. But all they do is poison the immigration debate. They do more for the liberals (I found the original article on Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Hatewatch”) than they do for those of us who want to secure the borders.

    Russell Richardson; stolen smarts

    Dr. Russell Richardson

    Pat sends us a link to the Stars & Stripes about Russell Richardson, who spent a few years as a defense contractor before taking a job with DoD as a science adviser based on his phony educational credentials;

    Russell Richardson, who earned a master’s degree from Ohio State University in 1984, says he never sought to misrepresent his credentials. Yet from 2003 to as recently as September, Richardson consistently has been characterized in news stories, company websites and his own internal Army resume as having a doctorate.

    “Somebody put it on a document,” Richardson said. “People have always thought it. I haven’t tried to actively go out and correct it. … I agree I should have fixed the public record better.”

    […]

    Army spokesman MyRon Young said Richardson did not claim a Ph.D. in his formal application for the job of science adviser. However, once in the job, Richardson introduced himself as “Dr. Richardson” and passed out documents listing himself as “Dr.,” according to three Army officials who were not authorized to discuss a personnel matter by name and requested anonymity. All said it was commonly believed at INSCOM that Richardson was a Ph.D.

    Richardson responded, “I never introduce myself as ‘Dr.’ Never, ever. … I never represented that I had a Ph.D.”

    He sounds just like the military phonies who say that they never claimed to secret squirrels or whatever – it’s everyone else’s fault. I’ll bet if they dig deeper, they’ll find other crap he’s done like our phonies.

  • Michael Harris in custody

    Michael Harris in custody

    Staff Sergeant Michael Edward Harris

    We’ve been following the story of Staff Sergeant Michael Harris, the fellow who joined the Army’s Most Wanted list for being a child abuser. The Cambodia Daily Times reports that he’s been captured there;

    “The U.S suspect was arrested by Kratie provincial police on Tuesday morning while driving a Honda Rebel motorbike with packed [saddlebags], suggesting that he intended to escape to another province,” said Uk Heisela, chief of investigations at the Interior Ministry’s immigration department.

    U.S. Embassy spokesman Jay Raman confirmed that the Arizona native was in police custody, but referred questions relating to his deportation to Cambodian authorities.

    “We greatly appreciate the help of the Cambodian authorities for their help in apprehending Michael Edward Harris,” Mr. Raman said

    His ex-wife and mother of some of his victims had a hand in the capture;

    Mr. Harris’ ex-wife, Denise Diaz, tracked down her ex-husband in Sihanoukville on October 14 and notified authorities and the public via Facebook and online forums. She later offered a $2,000 bounty for anyone who delivered Mr. Harris to the U.S. Embassy.

    On Tuesday, she expressed her relief that he had been captured.

    “I am elated to announce that I was notified this morning…that the fugitive Michael Edward Harris has been apprehended in Cambodia and is awaiting deportation,” she said by email from her home in Kentucky.

    We hope that she gets some justice for herself and her kids.

  • LAPD cop busted for stealing leave time with fake documents

    The Stolen Valor Triad & the wheelchair drive-by

    Stolen Valor triad

    Yes, the Stolen Valor Triad of Dallas Wittgenfeld, “Palmer” Paul Wickre, and Daniel A. Bernath have been working overtime to prove that they’re the dumbest MFers on the planet. They claim that I drove two-and-a-half hours to fire three bullets at poor Paul Wickre’s house;

    Slander Lawsuit

    I don’t know what a “Ruger .222” is, do you? Whatever it is, I don’t think that it’s logical to think that I would drive five hours to shoot at a house and then leave evidence that would lead back to me. Of course, if it were .222 shell casings it wouldn’t lead back to me, anyway. They claim that I did a drive-by in my wheelchair which is absolutely ridiculous for a number of reasons – not the least of which is; nobody in Wickre’s neighborhood noticed a guy in a wheelchair with a rifle? Of course, we all know that their reason for including that is to make fun of the fact that I’m paralyzed. Ha-ha-ha.

    They continue that people with ALS go crazy. Stephen Hawking has had ALS since 1974, so I want to be that crazy. The “three round volley” proves that it was a military shooter. The only three round volley that I know of is zeroing the M16. I wouldn’t be zeroing my rifle at a house.

    Somehow, Wittgenfeld is convinced for some reason that I’ve been ordered by a judge to keep my guns locked in a safe – keep thinking that, Dumbass. He believes that because he’s just dumb enough to believe everything that the other two dumbasses tell him.

    Now then there’s this message from Wickre who uses proxy servers to comment here when he wants to make threats, but as I’ve told him, our traffic monitor tracks computers, not IP addresses;

    As a supporter of Joe, dont worry ALS boy youre lawsuit is being drafted, this ones gonna be good and ultimately shut your BS spewing ass up. ohhh and the default judgment and garnishment of your retirement is gonna be classy. You fucken prick, dont worry the shot will be taken from a long way, you wont even hear it. Stand the fuck by

    I’m not dumb enough to make death threats to anyone, but these numbnuts aren’t that all that bright. I’m tired of all of Wickre’s empty threats. He’s been telling me that this lawsuit is coming for more than a year now, but like the ShoRtBus WInDowLicKer, he never shows.

    The Stolen Valor Triad has been including Frank Visconi is their emails, so now I’m scared – two idiots with law degrees.

    Staff Sergeant Michael Edward Harris; update

    Staff Sergeant Michael Edward Harris

    One of our Facebook fans dropped off a link to an update on Staff Sergeant Michael Edward Harris on Cambodia Daily. We wrote about Harris a week ago – he’s a tickle monster who is on the Army’s 20-most-wanted list. Apparently, folks located him in Cambodia over the last week;

    With word spreading on social media that he was living in Sihanoukville, Mr. Harris did not show up to work Wednesday morning, according to his boss, British national Leo Clifton, who released a statement a short time later announcing the termination of his employment.

    “We are shocked beyond belief at this,” Mr. Clifton said by telephone. “It is something that has been shoved onto our shoulders and we are dealing with it the best we can by cooperating with the relevant authorities.”

    Sok Phal, director of the Interior Ministry’s immigration department, said Cambodian authorities were cooperating with the U.S. Embassy and would send a team of investigators to Sihanoukville today to locate and arrest Mr. Harris.

    “We only received the documents from U.S. [authorities] a few days ago and we just finished organizing it all yesterday and cannot work faster, as we need to follow a step-by-step procedure,” General Phal said.

    His ex-wife, Denise Diaz, is a real tiger on this case, she says that her 2 children were victims of Harris. She has commented here and emailed us. We hope she and her kids get some justice.
