  • Children and the ‘peaceful religion of Islam’

    An Islamofascist scumbag aka “AbuMarwan23″ has a video selection on ‘YouTube’ showing just how young future jihadists are recruited and indoctrinated to become rabid human bombs for Allah.

    Link : http://youtube.com/user/AbuMarwan23

    Oh yeah, and he’s also got vids of Bin Laden’s various messages for us infidels,  speeches by the (now in hell) Zarqawi and various Sheiks and Mullahs spouting the usual “death to the Great Satan” shit.  Of particular comedy relief is the former American-turned Islamofascist traitor Adam ‘Yahiye Gadahn Azzam’ Pearlman.

    Adam Gadahn was named by none other than al Qaeda operations chief, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed.
    …..Mohammed told interrogators he wanted Gadahn to join a plot to blow up fuel stations outside Baltimore. The report says Gadahn was willing to help, but would not join in any suicide operations because his wife was pregnant.

    Some bio on the little jihadist:

    The 25-year-old former Orange County resident had a hippie upbringing, a short-but-fanatical devotion to death metal, converted to Islam, and spent two days in jail for attacking a member of his mosque. This story had it all.

    ……Within a day, an essay titled “Becoming Muslim,” apparently written by Gadahn in 1995 and originally posted to a USC website, was circulating on the Internet. In it, Gadahn details a preposterous journey, from an unconventional childhood as the son of hippie parents who raised him on a goat farm without electricity or indoor plumbing, to a short (it appears only one year) but fitful fascination with death metal music, to his subsequent conversion to Islam. “Having been around Muslims in my formative years,” he writes, “I knew well that they were not the bloodthirsty, barbaric terrorists that the news media and the televangelists paint them to be.”

    ……Adam Gadahn was born Adam Pearlman in Orange County. His father, acclaimed ’60s underground psychedelic musician Phil Pearlman, was the one who chose the name Gadahn. Phil Pearlman founded the West Coast group Beat of the Earth, a band often compared by critics to their East Coast counterpart, the Velvet Underground.

    ……Though this part of the story might have caused a few in middle America to pause, Californians are accustomed to living with leftover ’60s culture, from the Heal the Bay movement to the Krishna festivals on Venice Beach. So it’s not strange that a gifted ’60s counterculture hero, the son of a Jewish urologist and a Christian housewife, would change his name to Gadahn shortly after getting married because (according to a former band mate) they wanted a name that “meant nothing.” Also not strange was that they moved to a farm in rural Riverside County and took up the profession of raising and “humanely” slaughtering goats for market. Equally not strange is that Adam and his siblings were home-schooled and raised without running water and electricity. Eccentric, West Coast, out there in “la la land,” but not strange.

    ……According to his sister, Los Angeles environmentalist Nancy Pearlman, their father was a strong opponent of the Vietnam War. She told CNN, “Our family are strong believers in non-violence. We are strong believers in peace.”

    ‘Azzam’ of Jewish and Christian grandparents, now rails against the ‘Zionists’ and ‘Crusaders’. His ‘peace, love, and granola’ hippie parents who tried to inculcate the young lad with a “non violence” philosophy have to be wondering: “Where did we go wrong”?

    Too bad the ‘non-violence’ thing doesn’t translate into Arabic.

  • Discussion is good; dissention is not so much

    Ahh – Islamofacism Awareness Week, the brainchild of David Horowitz founder of FrontPageMagazine and the Center for the Study of Popular Culture. I was inspired in college by Horowitz’ story – a New York City Red Diaper Baby and one of the founders of the New Left movement in Berkeley in the 60s turned conservative. Horowitz began the dialogue about the atrocities of the Soviet Union and the moral bankrupcy of the Left. I first heard of Horowitz in my comparative politics class when his later (mature) opinions were compared to those of Noam Chomsky.

    Within a few years after I graduated college (at the age of 39), Horowitz was writing books – controversial books like his autobiography “Radical Son” and “The Politics of Bad Faith” that warned Americans about the war being fought against our Constitution and our way of life using the “gay rights” movement and the AIDS epidemic as cover. Horowitz is an excellent writer and his books are riveting.

    I met Horowitz on January 20, 2001 in front of the Supreme Court building at a Freeper rally in support of President Bush’s impending inauguration (I know it’s hard to remember, but the Left and the various factions were protesting President Bush before he even became President – before there was a war). After reading nearly all of his books, I expected a vociferous, passionate man – but all I met was a quiet, typical, little Jewish guy who was shivering from the cold, drizzling January morning. I was disappointed.

    I’ve seen him several times on television since then and he always comes off as this smart little guy who figures that if you don’t see things his way, he has no interest in talking to you. Well, that’s why, when I read Uncle Jimbo’s recounting in Blackfive of last night’s Islofacism Awareness Week event in Madison, WI, I smiled a bit, because Uncle Jimbo was just as disappointed as I was that wet January morning nearly eight years ago. Horowitz is a brilliant guy, but his presence is kind of weak. He should really just stick to writing.

    But the Islamofacism Awareness Week event has the Left pretty worked up, according to Ishmael Vera at Front Page Mag. The Kokesh merry band of tools and idiots has rewritten their flyer, spread it nationwide and they explain why they hate Americans – but don’t worry, it’s just a parody. Nothing worth punishing anyone over, I’m sure.

    Spanish Pundit writes that there is a plot afoot by Iran and the Saudis to disrupt the IFAW events – and they’re spreading out money to groups like Kokesh’s. They’re in good company – the Clinton Soros cabal is doing the same according to Horowitz. Gateway Pundit has complete coverage of the week’s events at his Incorrect University website.

    Pamela Geller (Atlas Shrugs) takes Charles Johnson (Little Green Footballs) to task for sounding like a CAIR press release. It’s sure getting muddy out there.

    I guess no one like to hear an opposing view – Horowitz just tells you you’re stupid for disagreeing, while the Left, typically, throws money at other people to tell you you’re stupid. MAS and CAIR tell us they want to have a discussion, but they don’t want to hear opposing views – we should just sit there with our hands folded and bleat out agreement sounds while they tell us what to think. That’s why people like David Horowitz have to use their same tactics to get attention. There is no discussion – there’s only CAIR and MAS megaphones.

    Kokesh and his bunch come right out and call us facists before a word is spoken for wanting to talk in public about the extremists who happen to be Muslims. That’s how the small-minded leftist leaders keep the smaller-minded students on the plantation – call the other side names first and keep calling names. Well, as long as Kokesh calls names from behind a police barricade with lots of armed protection. Can’t have those facists grabbing him by his scrawny neck and doing what his polo pony pushing Daddy should have done about 20 years ago.

    So I guess discussion is good, but dissention is good not so much. Discussion is much better than the alternative – as illustrated by Bloodthirsty Liberal.

    Kesher Talk reports that “Calm Breaks Out at Princeton” IFAW event.I guess most important is the fact that stuff is being said at all – ten years ago it couldn’t. Amazing times we live in.

  • Virginia Democrats draw clear line on immigration

    I’ve written a few times on Prince William County, Virginia and their stand against illegal immigrants – they decided that the county won’t pay from the county’s coffers for social programs for people who’ve broken our laws and their police will check the immigration of status of criminals. Well, nearby Fairfax County’s Democrats declare that they absolutely refuse to enforce the laws (Washington Post: The Dividing Line on Illegal Immigrants);

    Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerald E. Connolly (D) said yesterday that under no circumstances would he follow the lead of Prince William County and push for legislation to cut off services to illegal immigrants or authorize police to check the immigration status of suspects, measures he described as election season demagoguery.

    “I can just tell you Fairfax County is not going to go the route of some of our neighbors,” Connolly, who is seeking a second term as chairman Nov. 6, said during a meeting with Washington Post reporters and editors. “We’re not going to demagogue. We’re not going to essentially roll back the welcome mat. . . . That’s not why I ran for office and that isn’t who we are, and we’re not going to do that.”

    His opponent takes an opposite tack;

    Connolly’s Republican challenger, Gary H. Baise, said at the joint meeting that if elected he would push to enroll Fairfax police in a program run by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency that gives selected officers instant access to federal immigration data.

    Fairfax Sheriff Stan G. Barry announced this month that his deputies will enter the federal immigration program to screen suspects already in custody. The Prince William Board of County Supervisors voted last week to allow police to check the immigration status of someone during a routine traffic stop if there is probable cause to believe that person is an illegal resident.

    Well, Fairfax County has a clear choice for next month’s election; do they want someone to run their county that has a respect for the law, or do they want a county supervisor who arbitrarily flaunts laws for political gain? Choosing the latter will also cause an influx of illegal immigrants to cross over the county line from Prince William County to Fairfax so they avoid the legal implications of being a criminal – and to drain off Fairfax County’s social spending assets.

    Connelly uses his pretzel-shaped logic to explain why PW County’s plan won’t work in Fairfax;

    Connolly cautioned that such an expansion would drive a dangerous wedge between police and immigrants — making them reluctant to cooperate with investigations — and heighten the danger of racial profiling by officers. He said Fairfax Police Chief David M. Rohrer would be reluctant to involve his officers.

    “We need their cooperation for public safety and health,” Connolly said of immigrants.

    Imagine that; criminals will be afraid to assist the police, and the police wouldn’t be able to avoid focusing on the criminal community. And apparently, the pliant Fairfaxers need the cooperation of proven lawbreakers for their public safety. I’d like to see a wire diagram of how that works.

    Democrats are hoping that illegal immigrants will eventually get amnesty and their support of lawbreakers at this early point in time will attract the future voters to their party when amnesty happens. But who’s surprised that the party of sociopaths are recruting from the ranks of law breakers?

  • Rangel proposes corporate tax cut

    I’m stunned – absolutely stunned. Charlie Rangel is proposing a 35% corporate tax cut that will replace the Democrat teddy bear tax break to induce companies to keep their business in the US according to Sarah Lueck in the Wall Street Journal;

    Rep. Charles Rangel (D., N.Y.), chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, has drafted legislation that would trim the 35% companies now pay to between 30% and 31%, according to people familiar with the bill. The change would be funded in part by eliminating an existing tax deduction for manufacturers aimed at keeping production in the U.S.

    Imagine – a Democrat that sees value in reducing corporate taxes. I never thought I’d see the day.

    Now, companies will have to weigh the impact of the rate cut against the other changes the legislation will include. Manufacturing companies, for example, would lose a deduction for domestic production that now reduces their tax rate on manufacturing income to 32%. But the lower corporate tax rate would be attractive and would apply to all income.

    Mr. Rangel’s corporate proposal is similar to an idea floated in a Treasury Department report released in July. The report suggested that getting rid of many of the tax preferences now available to corporations — including the manufacturing deduction — would generate enough revenue to reduce the corporate tax rate to 27%.

    I will admit that Rangel is indeed stalwart on fairer taxation (as opposed to his whackier social programs and his military draft ideas) – he’s been promising a revision of the Alternative Minimum Tax for years, though and I’d prefer he work on that before he gets a corporate tax cut.

    Lueck predicts in her article that Rangel will be the only sponsor of his corporate tax cut – I can’t see Pelosi standing beside him and advocating lower taxes for evil corporations and ending the outsourcing tax incentive. I suspect Pelosi’d explode before she does anything like that to her base.

  • Violence in Iraq Down by 70% (Seventy Percent)

    According to the Iraqi Interior Ministry, and they ought to know, since the surge was completed in June, violence in Iraq is down a staggering SEVENTY PERCENT!

    In Baghdad, considered the epicenter of the violence because of its mix of Shi’ites and Sunni Arabs, car bombs had decreased by 67 percent and roadside bombs by 40 percent, he said. There had also been a 28 percent decline in the number of bodies found dumped in the capital’s streets.

    In Anbar, a former insurgent hotbed where Sunni Arab tribes have joined U.S. forces against al Qaeda, there has been an 82 percent drop in violent deaths.

    “These figures show a gradual improvement in controlling the security situation,” Khalaf said.

  • Values voters not satisfied

    Today’s Washington Times runs an article by Ralph Hallow entitled “Values Voters Find No Satisfactory Candidate“;

    Several conservative leaders yesterday concluded that none of the principal Republican presidential hopefuls deserves their support, not even Mike Huckabee, a Southern Baptist minister.

    “There was no consensus on candidates, no agreement, period,” a participant confided after the meeting, held at the Washington Hilton one day after several of their groups participated in a “Values Voters” summit at that hotel.

    Then, referring to Mr. Huckabee, he said, “He’s finished, I think. Bad things will be coming out about him,” referring to long-standing accusations surrounding Mr. Huckabee’s clemency for a rapist who later murdered someone in another state.

    It pretty much describes the feeling I’ve had this election season. Last weekend, while surfing around the ‘net, I got involved in a discussion over Rudy Giuliani and his “values” such as they are, at Little Green Footballs. When I made the point that Giuliani is no more trustworthy than the Clintons because of his marital infidelities and the speed at which he changes his platform to suit his audiences, I was called a troll by several LGF lizards. 😮 Me? A troll?

    Well, it turns out that alot of supporters of various Republican candidates are as rabid as the supporters of a certain candidate with two first names who shall go unnamed here to keep my spam filter from overloading. Giuliani supporters are willing to overlook the fact that he’s just another Northeast Liberal Rockefeller Republican that wants to take our guns and pass out abortions on demand because he refused a check from a Saudi prince once.

    That’s just immature. Some Republican voters are beginning to sound and act just like the carcatures of us that are spread around the other side of the internet. Would I pull the lever in a Presidential election for Rudi Giuliani? Probably – but only because of the alternative. In essence, I’d be voting for him for the same reasons democrats voted for Gore and Kerry – against a candidate instead of for a candidate.

    I think we’ve led ourselves into a trap – we’ve trapped ourselves by becoming single-issue voters. Although, I agree that the war against terror is the foundation of everything that happens to us from this day forward, I think it’s irresponsible of us to just follow the sound of whichever piper is playing our tune.

    Giuliani thinks he’s golden because he’s probably the most pro-national security candidate, but given his recent record, I wouldn’t trust him to take out my garbage. If alot of Republicans are disappointed in George W. Bush’s performance, i’m pretty sure they’ll be apoplectic during a Giuliani Presidency. At least when Bush became President, he told us exactly what he was going to do before he was elected and that’s what he did. With Giuliani and his position shifts over the last year, who knows what he’s going to do in office.

  • But, Arnold, that isn’t how we win…

    The Financial Times has a pair of articles on Arnold Schwarzenegger urging Republicans to move to the center. Welcome to Arnie’s big tent
    Just one problem with that, Republicans win from the right, not the center. Democrats have to move to the center to lessen the impact of their kooky ideals.
    A few choice bits from the articles:

    The California governor was one of his party’s few successes in last year’s mid-term elections, winning a second term in spite of Republicans losing control of the US Senate and Congress.

    Which would be great, if he weren’t a RINO.

    He said he would welcome a presidential bid from Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York, who is considering standing as an independent candidate in next year’s election.

    Mr Bloomberg was a “miracle worker” who transcended party lines in running New York, a Democrat party stronghold, Mr Schwarzenegger said.

    Miracle worker? No, the word you are looking for is OPPORTUNIST. Bloomberg was only a RINO, and only that, until he judged it inconvenient to have that big “R” behind his name

    He [Schwarzenegger]was re-elected last November in a landslide, despite crushing defeats for Republicans in the US Senate and Congress.

    Name recognition bought him the win, not any reasoned thought.
    Go back to the gym and back to the movies, Arnold, we liked you there, and you were good at that.
