I had a lot of fun doing a mind dump. Thanks for inviting me, Eric. I hope you have as much fun listening to it as I had doing it. My portion of the show starts about half way through.

IVAW and Abdo
One of my ninjas reports that IVAW has gone silent…period. Not just with the outside world but among themselves. Matthis’ Facebook page has come down. Silence can be incriminating.
James Branum, on the other hand, was quick to post this on his Facebook page;
It seems to me that everything Branum does is selfish and for the “cause”. I guess that defending a terrorist doesn’t benefit the cause. Even though, everything else he’s done benefits terrorists.
This is the latest from Fox News;
Like I said in the earlier post, I can’t think of another reason for Abdo to go to Killeen, TX if it wasn’t to take advantage of the Under the Hood Cafe and the denizens there. The fact that IVAW has gone silent only reinforces that contention. Given the nutty behavior that springs from Under the Hood, from people like Bobby Whittenburg, buddy of Carl Webb and the others in the Austin area, under the tutelage of Doug Zachary, I’m not surprised Abdo would be radicalized.
If he had a bitch with the Army, it makes more sense for him to remain at Fort Campbell and commit his terrorism there for retribution for the perceived injustices committed against him. It makes no sense to go to the middle of Texas, 150 miles from his home and far from his home station, unless you take UtH into consideration. And his Facebook friends support this contention as well.

Arrest in new Fort Hood terror plot

Another soldier was arrested in a new terror plot against the Fort Hood facility – the largest US military post according to Fox News;
Pvt. Nasser Jason Abdo, an AWOL soldier from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, was arrested by the Killeen Police Department near Fort Hood and remains in custody there. Authorities, however, will not say if Abdo is the one who raised security concerns.
Bob Jenkins, a Fort Campbell spokesman, told Fox News that Abdo was being investigated for child pornography found on his government computer.
Abdo went AWOL on July 4. On the eve of his first deployment to Afghanistan — after only one year in the Army — Abdo applied for conscientious objector status. It was denied by his superiors at Ft. Campbell but later overturned by the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Army review board.
Another source told Fox News that two other U.S. soldiers also raised possible concerns. Authorities have recovered weapons and possibly explosive materials, Fox News was told.
I’m sure someone in the Under the Hood Cafe knows this guy – a perfect candidate for Iraq Veterans Against the War. Stormbringer just wrote about him the other day when Abdo was just an AWOL conscientious objector – before he became a terror suspect.
I think Sporkmaster sent me something about him a few months ago.
Here’s a video I found of a guy who makes some good points, and prophetically predicts that Abdo could become another Nidal Hassan;
ADDED:. I just discovered that I did write about him – he was one of Branum’s clients and funding raising schemes (I was at someone’s wedding when I wrote it – that’s why I forgot). TSO also wrote about him.
Added again: I just found this online about an anti-war press conference in NYC where IVAW members read a statement from Abdo on Islamophobia;
Isn’t a phobia an irrational fear? Well if Abdo is found to have been part of a terror plot, I guess he wasn’t experiencing an irrational fear.
And isn’t that an IVAW member in the center of the picture of the press conference? I think i recognize her from somewhere.

Phony soldier Rick Duncan\Strandlof resurfaces
You may remember the phony we helped uncover in Colorado Springs who had fooled IVAW and VoteVets and going by the name of Rick Duncan, but was actually Richard Strandlof. He was charged with Stolen Valor Act violations and the Ninth Circuit Court gave him a pass saying he had the right to free speech which included his claims of awards of the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
Well, it seems that karma is a bitch. The Denver Post reports that he has resurfaced in a new disguise – as a Jewish lawyer.
Last October, a man named Rick Gold, a 30-something lawyer who said he lived in Denver’s trendy Highlands neighborhood, appeared on the social scene and slipped comfortably into a welcoming circle of young Jewish professionals.
He attended Passover meals and Sabbath dinners, knew enough Hebrew to participate in the prayers and joined several faith-based organizations as he told friends of his Israeli heritage and sought to reconnect with his religious roots.
Through parallel social networks, online and in person, a lot of people got to know Rick Gold.
Except that they didn’t.
Last weekend, many of his friends concluded — to their shock and disbelief — that Rick Gold is, in fact, Rick Strandlof, the fake military hero whose unmasking in 2009 triggered an uproar and criminal charges.
Here’s screenshot of his LinkedIn account. it includes a picture of him posing with Colorado Senator Mark Udall from back when he was posing as Rick Duncan the decorated Iraq veteran;
He seems to continue his romance with military service since he has now taken on service with the israeli Defense Forces. His fantasies continue; He’s a martial arts instructor, a member of GOProud, the conservative gay advocacy group
So I wonder if the 9th Circuit will be as forgiving with Duncan\Strandlof\Gold when he poses as an officer of the court as they were when he posed as an officer of Marines. Maybe if the courts continue to let this moron manufacture identities, they’ll see him sitting on the bench next to them in a few years.
I can state authoritatively from this experience that irony tastes like a banana split with extra chocolate sauce.

IVAW Money
Last month we looked at how the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America spent their money according to IRS filings. We felt like we were slighting some other organizations by not highlighting their expenditures. So today we’re looking at the Iraq veterans Against the War. There’s nothing really earthshaking in their filings – except how their donations have suffered between 2008 and 2009 (the last year available to the public). Click to embiggenate;

Of course, in 2008, they had their Winter Soldier hearings which probably brought in a lot of money. Their only campaign in 2009 was to defend themselves from us. And it probably didn’t help that there was no more George Bush to kick around in 2009.
You might remember that with IAVA, the largest salary was the executive director’s salary. At IVAW, that’s not true. Jose Velasquez receives less than $20,000/year while Amadee Braxton, the only civilian on the board and the person who we think is responsible for the poor forgery of Jesse MacBeth’s DD214 gets the only livable wage of all members;

Braxton also coordinates with the ISO and ANSWER since that’s where her professional roots lie – she also runs their fundraising efforts. Since their income has fallen almost a $million, how much is she really worth to IVAW. Is she still earning that salary?
So how did they spend their money? Well, their largest expenditures were for travel, conferences and meetings and computer services, while membership services were anemic. So again, like IAVA, they spend the most money on the upper ranks and piss on the membership.

Hey, you have the right to know, that’s why we do this stuff.

If You Want To Win Elections, Adam Kokesh Isn’t Going to Help You
The Pima County Sheriff Office’s handling of the Jose Guerena killing could have been something that Pima County Republicans could have used against the despicable Sheriff Clarence Dupnik in the 2012 election. I say “could have” because the incident has instead sparked infighting among Pima County Republicans and has devolved into what one local news outlet has dubbed “Facebook drama“. I originally defended Brian Miller, the Pima County GOP Chairman, who came under fire for penning a letter condemning the Pima County Sheriff Office’s handling of the Guerena killing. This was in despite of the fact that Miller was a Paultard and who in the past had done Paultarded things. However, the more I learned, the more uncomfortable I became with how Miller was acting and I have come to believe that he is basically trying to turn the Pima County Republican Party into a Ron Paul cult. Then I stumbled across this little gem:
First of all, I still can’t get over the fact that Adam Kokesh can say with a straight face that he is a libertarian when he is a paid host on a network that is subsidized by the Kremlin. Yeah I know Uncle Jimbo appears on RT a lot but UJ isn’t a Paultard who ran for Congress on a platform of abolishing most (or all) of the government. Anyways, Brian Miller, an air force officer and OEF veteran, should be smarter than to associate with a shitbird Marine who has consistently lied about the character of his service and who generally acts like a horse’s ass. Instead of attempting to unite the party he was elected to lead, Miller is digging in and appealing to the lunatic fringe for support.
So good luck with that Chairman Miller and good luck with winning any elections in Pima County in the future because luck is the only way the Republicans are going to win in Pima County with a Paultard like you in charge.

Ann Wright: Those Jooos tried to kill us
You probably remember Ann Wright whom I’ve written about before. She’s a major drama queen and member of Code Pink, Iraq Veterans Against the War and Veterans For Peace. She also sat on the board of OpTruth, the precursor of Paul Rieckoff’s Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. Well today she’s in Greece awaiting her personal invasion of the Gaza Strip.
Luckily for her, the Israelis warned Grecian authorities that the boats the hippies were about to sail were unsafe. Earlier today, Medea Benjamin said it was a trick to delay them. Now it turns out that the Israelis were right;
“It was pure luck that the damage to the Irish boat was discovered,” said Ann Wright, a spokesman from “The Audacity of Hope”, an American activists’ boat also docked near Athens.
“The damage to the propeller could have caused the ship to sink and those on board to drown. Quite simply it was act of terrorism.”
Of course, the whole point of terrorism is to kill or injure people, ask those Palestinians you’re going to rescue, Ann. What would be the point of Israel’s sabotaging and then warning you about the damage? I’m no naval genius but, I’m still trying figure out how a propeller could sink the boat.
[Israel] is offering to allow the flotilla to dock at the Israeli port of Ashdod and to escort the aid on board to Gaza by land.
Damn sneaky Jooos, being all nice and everything letting the hippies have their way.
The Turkish Mavi Marmara, which was due to be the flagship once again, pulled out at the last minute, under what appeared to be pressure from the government in Ankara.
It must’ve been the Joos in Turkey thatpulled the boat out of the flotilla…oh, wait…
“The delay has been orchestrated by the Israeli state and we urge the Greek government to exert itself as a sovereign country,” Mrs Wright, 64, a former colonel in the US army, said.
“The Israeli state is doing everything within its capability to stop us from making this journey, from sabotage to tying us up in bureaucracy. Well it won’t work. We are determined.” She hinted that the flotilla might depart without the necessary paperwork.
Delaying them by offering to escort them to port and distributing their cargo?

More Matthis lies; Robynn Murray
Matthis lies sent us another video this morning, this time focusing on Oscar-nominee Robynn Murray. The video also highlights how some IVAW members are still supporting Matthis;
Burning the flag in this video is Robin Long who absconded to Canada rather than deploy with his unit to Iraq. When Canada booted his monkey ass, he did a year in jail. Long is a member of the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW), and you can hear cheers of “IVAW” while the flag is burning. So Matthis may be gone, but other flag burners remain.
By the way, another former Iraq Veterans Against the War supporter emailed me yesterday to remove her name from the blog because she was turning her life around and she was embarrassed by her participation with Under the Hood and IVAW. Of course, I helped her out like I do for all of the former IVAW members who are contrite about their past transgressions. There are some for whom I won’t do that, though.
