So now with the protesters being removed from public parks and such have desired that those pesky State, City and County laws are illegal. Yep these are the type of posters that are going around the net.
At first I just thought that it was just a few people when I talked about this online petition online.
I asked DC how the First Amendment overrides all State and City public ordinances.
The Constitution overrides all ordinances to the contrary. That’s pretty basic civics. And I would add that while ordinances may be found Constitutional by courts when there are on-its-face contradictions, that doesn’t mean that the courts decided correctly. Hence, what the courts decide is constitutional one day may be unconstitutional within the technical judicial definition the next. It’s up to citizens, ultimately, to defend their own constitutional liberties by refusing to comply with violations of them even when those violations are given the trappings of law.
So in short ignore any law that you disagree with or find inconvenient on the assumption that it will be overturned in the future? Yea tell me which laws are going to be overturned in the future? It must be that law against public urination and defecation. I forgot that farts are now considered protected speech.
Yesterday, we discussed IVAW and Veterans For Peace member, Scott Olsen, who had his head busted by some police “projectile” in Oakland the other night. Our buddy, Gateway Pundit sent us a link to his post today about how Olsen was the founder of the “I Hate The Marine Corps” blog.

TSO sends a link to a Washington Examiner report of the latest one hour occupation of McPherson Square in downtown DC just off of K Street.
At exactly 6:00 PM, about 40 people gathered on the only portion of McPherson square that is clear of tents, and began their discussions. The agenda included a brief welcome, a reading of guidelines, a review of their unique voting process, committee reports, a “de-escalation” brainstorm, and announcements.
Apparently, that’s it, they have a one hour meeting every night and that’s the extent of their “occupation”, that’s occupation in the sense that they take up space, not in the sese that they have jobs. And they’ve developed a secret hippie code to communicate their pleasure and displeasure with their one hour protest;
To keep the noise level down, protesters use hand signals instead of vocal commands to demonstrate opinion. “Twinkle fingers,” performed by wiggling fingers at ear level, shows approval. “Fact check,” which imitates the rapid-fire of two revolvers, requests a confirmation of logistics. The “block”, which brings the forearms into an X shape, “is very powerful, very rare. It shows your opposition to a proposal is very strong,
So basically, the only reason this “occupation” exists is for the one hour social event every night and to make unsightly pests of themselves, because they’re certainly not getting anything accomplished except giving the world a glance at what government would look like if the hippies had their way. And, you can’t see me right now, but I’m all twinkle fingers over here.
Claymore sends us a link to an article from CBS Atlanta which tells us that Mayor Kasim reed is getting tired ot the cost that the city is incurring because of the Occupy Atlanta hippies;
In a press conference Monday, Reed cited the additional $100,000 in beefed-up police presence for Saturday alone, as officers worked overtime in 12-hour shifts to ensure safety for the protesters — the same protesters he connected to a hip-hop concert in the park that same day. Reed called the behavior of some of the “Occupy Atlanta” the kind of actions that “puts them on a path to escalation,” he said.
So, State Sen. Vincent Fort, who supports the Occupy protesting filthy hippie fucks, took it upon himself to invoke the ghost of segregationist Commissioner of Public Safety for the city of Birmingham, Alabama, during the American Civil Rights Movement, Theophilus Eugene “Bull” Connor (and a Democrat, by the way) to describe the Black Mayor Reed;
“If he wants to be like Bull Connor, then so be it,” Fort said.
So I guess the “escalation” in Atlanta has already begun. Now the filthy hippies polluting the country with their stench and intellectual vacancy are like the Freedom Riders of the ’60s?
Apparently, in the early morning hours after giving some warning, Oakland police declared Occupy Oakland an illegal protest and cleared the area out;
I envy the police…getting the opportunity to bash hippies before breakfast insures that there’s a good day ahead.
There are unsupported charges of the police using rubber bullets and police brutality, but reporters on the scene deny that they’ve seen any – not surprising since hippies think that any use of force used to arrest them is “brutality”.
In addition to the rape in Cleveland, police are investigating another sexual assault at Occupy Portland and Dallas.
