    Police responded to the 4000 block of Jackson where two victims told officers they were approached by two suspects armed with a gun.

    One of the victims told the suspects he was not afraid of getting shot when a suspect pointed it at him and instead, offered to buy the gun for $250.

    The victims said the suspects became afraid, denied the offer, and ran.

    From Madison, Florida;

    It happened around 2 o’clock at the Wells Fargo on Highway 90.

    One woman says the robber – dressed in drag – held up the teller. A man at the next window then chased him out of the bank.

    The man who chased the robber told us he did fire a shot at the man, but it didn’t hit him.

    Soon afterward, Madison County deputies arrested four people in a gold getaway car at an I-10 truck stop.

    A very lucky police officer in Farmington, New Mexico;

    Officials said a state police officer was arresting 26-year-old William Wilson after pulling him and his friends over during a traffic stop.

    The officer handcuffed Wilson with his hands to the front of his body. Officials say it didn’t take long before he pulled out a gun and shot the officer.

    The bullet went through the officer’s badge and it was stopped by the bullet proof vest he was wearing underneath.

    It’s unclear if the officer patted Wilson down to check for weapons after handcuffing him.

    “In the perfect world, yeah, people should be patted down and checked for weapons, but things happen very quickly,” said New Mexico State Police Chief Pete Kaasetas.

    A San Juan County Sheriff’s deputy arrived shortly afterward to help the officer.

    Both officers returned fire and right now it’s unclear who fired the shot that killed Wilson.

    From St Helena Island, South Carolina;

    Investigators say the man got away on foot after the burglary took place on Ball Park Road around 11:30 a.m. A homeowner reported that he received a phone call from his teenage son that an unknown subject was trying to break into the home. The homeowner drove to his residence and saw a man around the side of his house carrying what appeared to be a long rifle. He shot at the suspect once with a small caliber handgun and the suspect ran off into the woods.

    From Baton Rouge, Louisiana;

    Deputies say a man gave a ride to 33-year-old Frank Johnson from Lower Zachary Road to the 15200 block of Old Scenic Highway around 4 p.m., according to an arrest report for Johnson. The two men knew each other through mutual friends.

    When the driver tried to drop Johnson off, Johnson pulled a gun and demanded his money and property, according to the report. The driver then pulled his own gun and shot Johnson in the leg as he tried to get out of the vehicle with the driver’s bag, the arrest report states.

    Once Johnson fell out of the vehicle with the bag, the driver went to Baker Police Department to report the incident.

    Dave Hardin and Bobo send us a link to the story of a Hurricane Harvey thief in Corpus Christie, Texas;

    About 11 p.m. Corpus Christi police officers responded to the 7100 block of Ficus Court, near Yorktown Boulevard.

    Officers found a man who had been shot in the head, officials said. According to officers at the scene, the man had broken into the residence and was shot by the homeowner.

    The shooting happened about an hour after Hurricane Harvey — a category 4 hurricane — made landfall near Corpus Christi.

    Another one in Houston, Texas;

    An alleged intruder was shot dead by a home resident in Houston’s Greater East End early Saturday.

    Authorities received a call about the incident around 3 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department’s homicide division.

    A person reportedly attempting to enter a home in the 6900 block of Avenue T was shot and killed by someone inside.

    From Rowlett, Texas;

    According to McLendon-Chisholm City Administrator Dave Butler, two intruders were shot by a Rowlett homeowner earlier today. One of them escaped and ended up at the Shell gas station.

    The reported home invasion and shooting occurred in the 7000 block of Mercurys Road in Rowlett, Texas, before noon.

    The wounded home intruder was discovered at the gas station, in the 100 block of State Highway 205 just north of the Kaufman-Rockwall County line, and was transported to an area hospital to undergo surgery. The intruder’s current condition is unknown.

    Butler says the intruder falsely reported being carjacked to explain his gunshot wound.

    The second intruder was found at a local hospital after seeking medical attention for a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the Rowlett Police Department.

    The Rowlett Police Department says both individuals forcibly entered the home on Mercurys and began shooting. The male homeowner returned gunfire with a handgun.

    From League City, Texas;

    On Aug. 25 at about 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 200 block of Harbor Bend Lane in the Bay Colony subdivision.

    They arrived to find the suspect, 38-year-old Donald Reese McCorkle, sitting in a front yard with a gunshot wound to his leg.

    After arranging medical care, officers learned that McCorkle allegedly attempted to break into a home and was shot one time in the leg by the homeowner, police said.

    From El Paso, Texas;

    At about 11:50pm Wednesday, officers responded to a burglary of vehicle call at a residence in the 9000 block of Mt. Delano, just south of Hondo Pass.

    Police said an investigation revealed the victim was alerted by family members his car was being burglarized. The victim, armed with a handgun, went outside and confronted the alleged car burglar.

    Police said a confrontation ensued and the victim shot the man trying to break into his vehicle.

    The suspect, only described as an 18-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to his lower torso and was transported to University Medical Center.

    From Fries, Virginia;

    Police and rescue workers responded to a report of a shooting Friday morning at a residence on Fulton Road in Independence.

    EMTs transported a 59-year-old woman who was shot once in the left shoulder, according to police reports. A landing zone for a medical helicopter was set up at Grayson Express off U.S. 58 and the woman was flown out for treatment.

    Police responded to a call that said an intruder had been shot at the residence.

    From Camden, Delaware;

    One of the perpetrators “forced entry into the residence and a struggle ensued with an elderly victim,” Bratz said in a news release.

    During the confrontation, the victim discharged a round during the altercation striking the floor. The perpetrators then took the victim’s handgun and fled the residence, police said.

    A short time after the 911 call, troopers observed a suspicious vehicle on Moose Lodge Road and conducted a traffic stop, Bratz said.

    Evidence inside the vehicle linked the four suspects to the home invasion, he said.

    From Palm Springs, California;

    Village police have identified the man killed last week in a home invasion as Jorge Crespo.

    The 24-year-old was thought to be invading a home on Pleasant Place, just west of Davis Road and north of Lake Worth Road, in the early hours of Aug. 17.

    Crespo reportedly stabbed one of the residents, prompting the home owner to stab Crespo to death.

    “On August 23rd, 2017, at approximately 10:47 pm, Dispatch received a call from an unnamed male subject claiming that he had just shot an intruder on his neighbor’s property approximately 20 miles West on Highway 160 and he believed the subject to be deceased.

    “He further explained that the intruder had attacked him with a knife when he approached him to ascertain his identity and the reason for his visit to the property.

    “Upon the arrival of Sheriff’s Office Deputies, it was confirmed that the alleged intruder was deceased and a perimeter was established.

    From New Orleans, Louisiana;

    The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday in the 6900 block of General Haig Street when noise from Gino Ascani’s camera system alerted his fiancée to wake him up.

    “She heard the clicking noise and saw them in the driveway,” Ascani said.

    Ascani told his fiancée to call police and then he grabbed a gun to follow the suspects he saw on camera. He was able to sneak up behind on four of them as they walked down the street near Walker.

    “The thing was I wanted to follow them to make sure they weren’t going to victimize anyone else and I was waiting for the police when I felt that they were getting ready to flee. That’s when I yelled “Freeze!” and that’s when they ran,” Ascani said.

    As they took off, police say Kilton Lowery shot twice at Ascani but missed. Ascani said he did not return fire to avoid hitting the wrong person. He then said the suspects disappeared towards Robert E. Lee. Shortly after, officers responded to the call to see a car speeding off near General Haig.

    “Apparently they observe the police officers as well and tried to elude the officers before we can even engage them in a vehicle pursuit or anything they flipped the vehicle,” police said.

    In High Point, North Carolina;

    Police were called to the 1700 block of Candlewood Court around 3 a.m. on May 28. Upon arrival, police learned that three men broke into the home in an attempt to rob the residents.

    While inside, the men ran upstairs, where police say a man shot and killed one of the suspects, 21-year-old Christopher Lamont Gidderon.

    Police say they found dozens of shell casings in the upstairs hallway.

    “Four people with guns shooting at the same time, six total people, it’s a miracle there weren’t more injuries,” said Capt. Tim Ellenberger, with High Point police.

    Police arrived fewer than eight minutes after the victim called 911 after the other two suspects ran off.

    On Tuesday, 18-year-old Deontay Robinson was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder, one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of first-degree burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

    Kashaun Lovette, 19, was arrested Wednesday and charged with the same charges.

    From Charlotte, North Carolina;

    Investigators told Channel 9 that the shooting stemmed from an attempted robbery and that a security guard inside the business pulled the trigger.

    Police said two men wearing masks walked into the gaming parlor just after midnight and one of the suspects, Julian Harris, pulled out a gun and pointed it at office staff.

    A security guard working at the business then pulled out his own gun and fired a shot, hitting Harris.

    Both suspects ran out of the building but first responders found Harris dead a short time later in the woods next to the building.

    From Eufaula , Alabama;

    At 12:03 p.m. Wednesday, a Eufaula homeowner called 911 to report that someone was unlawfully inside a vehicle under his carport on Macon Avenue. As officers were dispatched, the homeowner was able to give a description of the subject and describe his actions to the communications officer. Prior to the responding officer’s arrival, the homeowner shot the subject, and the subject fled on foot.

    The injured subject showed up at the Barbour Medical Center emergency room for treatment of a gunshot wound to his lower torso.

    A little frontier justice in Bangladesh;

    Quoting locals, police said a gang of 7-8 robbers swooped on the house of Dula Mia around 3:00 am. As they were obstructed by the house owner, robbers gunned down Dula Mia, leaving him dead on the spot.

    Hearing the screaming of family members, locals rushed in and caught a member of the robbers’ gang while others managed to flee the spot.

    Later, the angry mob gave him a good thrashing, leaving him dead on the spot.

    According to the Ellis County and District Attorney’s Office, [Trenton Eugene] Sinyard rang the doorbell of the victim’s home at approximately 1 p.m. on June 2, 2015.

    “As was her custom, the victim did not answer the door when she was home alone. After twice ringing the front doorbell, Sinyard made his way into the backyard to the patio door of the home where he began pounding on the door and jiggling the door handle,” an ECDA release states. “After hearing the doorbell and seeing a silhouette move to the rear of her home, the victim called the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office and armed herself with a pistol.“

    Fewer than two minutes after the victim notified authorities, Sinyard forced the door open with his shoulder and entered the domicile where he was promptly shot at seven times by the homeowner. The release notes one bullet grazed the back of his head and a second lodged in his upper back.

    After fleeing the scene, an ECSO K-9 unit located Sinyard inside of the neighboring house where he had been staying with relatives while on parole for a prior burglary conviction.

    It happened over two years ago, but Mr Sinyard was sentenced to 99 years the other day. I don’t think time served will help him much.

    From Chicago, Illinois;

    A teenager was shot to death by an off-duty Chicago Fire Department lieutenant who said the boy tried to steal his car.

    Police say the un-named fire official left his car running on Chicago’s West Side early Monday and allegedly observed the 17-year-old getting into the vehicle. The 45-year-old lieutenant told investigators he fired at the teen in an attempt to stop the suspect from running him over.

    From Johnson City, Tennessee;

    A homeowner in Johnson City exchanged gunfire with a suspected robber, leaving both men wounded, police reported.

    The incident took place at a home in the 2200 block of Signal Drive late Sunday evening. It was after midnight when officers arrived and found the homeowner on the floor with a gunshot wound to the torso, the report said.

    Investigators determined that an attempted robbery had taken place and the victim, identified in the report as Kenneth Minasian, 22, had shot at the intruder. The suspect later came to a city hospital and was treated for a gunshot wound to the forearm.

    From Wichita, Kansas;

    A 23-year-old clerk at a Circle K convenience store shot at a man who tried reaching into his register late Sunday.

    Wichita police Officer Charley Davidson said a man went into the store at 2356 S.Seneca at about 9 p.m. and purchased an item. When the register opened, he jumped the counter.

    Davidson said the employee drew a handgun and fired one shot. The attempted robber was not found, so police don’t know if he was injured, Davidson said.

    From Tuolumne County, California;

    While on the phone with the sheriff’s office dispatch, the woman yelled at the man to go away, locked her doors and safely got her kids upstairs. She also armed herself with a handgun.

    When the man was able to get into the woman’s home, she shot him.

    Injured, the intruder ran to a nearby residence where he had been previously that night for a party. Deputies found him there and he was taken to Adventist Health with a non-life threatening injury.

    From Jefferson County, Ohio;

    Police said [Nathaniel Richmond] apparently waiting for Judge Joseph J. Bruzzese Jr., who sits on the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas, ran up to the judge and began shooting when he approached the courthouse. Bruzzese drew a gun and fired at least five rounds at the shooter, possibly hitting the attacker, Jefferson County Sheriff Fred J. Abdalla told reporters during emotional remarks Monday morning.

    “This individual laid in wait for our judge,” Abdalla said, tearing up during his remarks. “It just hurts. First thing on Monday morning, you have a judge shot in front of his courthouse … This was an ambush and an attempted murder on our judge.”

    Authorities said Bruzzese was taken into surgery. His condition was not immediately known after the shooting, though the local news station WTOV9 reported that he was stable.

    The suspect, who was not immediately identified by authorities, was struck three times and killed. Since a probation officer at the courthouse also shot at the suspect, Abdalla said it was not clear whether one of Bruzzese’s bullets hit the attacker, who fired five rounds.

    A homeowner in Lithonia, Georgia is breathing easier this morning;

    Police said a homeowner shot and killed a man dressed like a woman after he broke into his home…”The homeowner gave him a warning. The suspect continued to approach him at which time the homeowner fired one shot,” DeKalb County Police Lt. Lonzy Robertson told WSB-TV on Monday.

    He said the homeowner will not be charged because it’s been ruled as self-defense.
