    Good Friday morning; Our stories come from Chief Tango this Valentine’s Day. The first is from Gary, indiana where some foolish children thought they could rob folks at senior citizens’ social club;

    E.C. Robinson, 65, a Gary resident, was shot but managed to defend himself and others with his own gun.

    “He shot him twice, that is when E.C. started shooting back,” said one witness.

    The suspect hid in the bathroom after he was shot until police came and took him into custody.

    Sturgis said he hopes the shooting will send a message to the younger people who want to cause trouble from Chicago.

    “We’re in Indiana, they [are] from Illinois, they don’t know people got permits to carry guns, so bang bang, that is what happened,” Sturgis said.

    I keep telling you not to mess with us old folks. We’ll kill you.

    The next story comes from Texas where a store saw folks trying to break into his store while it was closed;

    A manager in the store went outside and confronted the suspects, shooting one of them. The other suspect, a 16-year-old, took off running along nearby Greens Bayou, constables said.

    One officer caught up to the male and fired a shot, but he was not struck. The suspect was then taken into custody.

  • Wednesday morning feel good story

    Our first story this morning comes from Corpus Christi where Dan Caballero was cleared of all charges for the night a few weeks ago when he shot dead 29-year old Dustin Tate when Tate tried to burglarize Mr. Caballero’s home;

    It was Dec. 2 when Tate was shot during an attempted burglary at the home of Caballero on Greenbriar and St. Andrews in Country Club Estates. Caballero confronted Tate inside of his home.

    “To put aside any rumors or hearsay that he was shot outside the house while being chased down, that’s not correct. What happened was he was shot in Mr. Caballero’s bedroom by Mr. Caballero’s own personal gun, which was a registered gun to him.”

    Tate had an extensive criminal history dating back to 2005, including a burglary conviction in 2011.

    The second story was sent to us by Chief Tango and occurred in Oklahoma where a man and his wife were attacked by a couple of thug-like creatures;

    A family member who did not want to be identified said her cousin answered a knock on the front door. When she opened it, the family member said the men forced their way inside.

    Investigators aid the assailants were armed, and they beat the woman’s husband and a male roommate.

    Officials said one of the victims was able to grab a gun, and a gun fight ensued.

    The roommate was hit in the shoulder, and his arm was broken in the struggle. The husband suffered gunshot wounds to the hip and the leg.

    Police said they believe at least two of the criminals were also hit during the shootout.

    They’ll show up if they were hit, they’ve been tagged.

  • Monday morning feel good story

    Chief Tango sends us our feel good story today, this time from Dallas, where Muhammad Samaad caught someone fiddling around with his livelihood, a Lincoln Town çar that he uses for a limosine;

    “Young guy, gentleman about 5-9, 5-10 working with a crow bar or tie handle trying to get into my window,” Samaad recalled as he shows us the damage to his 2009 Lincoln Town car. “Then he came here to this back window and busted this window and I could hear the noise.”

    It was Sunday about 4:45 a.m. Samaad woke up, grabbed his handgun and went outside. Then the guy at his town car jumped in a white sedan a few feet away where someone was waiting and they drove off.

    “I fired three shots and hit the car and it looks like I think I might have hit someone in the car,” said Samaad.

    Samaad says in the four years he’s had his town car, it’s been vandalized in front of his home six times, costing him about $3000 out of his own pocket as the damage is always less than his deductible.

    Muhammad hopes that this incident sends a message to the crooks to quit messing with his ability to earn a living. He also says that he may have hit someone in the car with his gunfire. Maybe that will affect their ability to make their living by preying on folks who work hard.

  • Sunday morning feel good story

    This feel good story comes from California, believe it or not, where a woman was wakened by her dog;

    She looked outside and saw a man in her backyard, another waiting by a car.

    Carla wasted no time. Wearing her nightgown, she went outside and fired once toward the ground. Carla says, it was just to scare them off. It worked. The two suspects ran back to a white sedan and drove off.

    Carla says she heard one of them screaming, “Crazy b**ch has a gun!!”

  • Saturday morning feel good stories

    Cortillaen sends us our first feel good story for this morning’s stand to (I know you do it) from Orangeburg, South Carolina where a woman got tired of being thrown and dragged around her house by her boyfriend;

    24-year-old Jeremy Scott Williamson “became enraged after looking in his girlfriends’s purse and finding papers where he was listed as a suspect for a crime in another jurisdiction.” After he argued with her about the papers and refused to let her call her mother to come get her, the woman ran out in the yard where Williamson chased her down and attacked.

    He dragged her back inside, “hit her on the back of the head and threw her to the floor.”

    After hearing the disturbance Williamson’s grandfather entered the room and asked his grandson to stop. When Williamson paused to look at his grandfather, the girlfriend was able to grab a handgun and “[shoot] him in the abdomen.”

    Williamson died from the gunshot.

    Our second story, sent by Chief Tango, comes from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where, a not-so-innocent victim thought he was meeting a prostitute in a hotel room, but instead met some folks intent on taking his money, without the happy ending;

    The victim, who was not identified, also told officers he has a gun permit and had shot the man who was robbing him, police said. [Mario Rudolpha Shockley, 25] then fired back and hit the victim.

    Authorities said the victim had gone to the motel to meet [Brittany Elizabeth Pitts, 23], a prostitute, for sex.

    “That individual arrived believing he was arriving there for that purpose,” District Attorney Ed Marsico said. “When he was robbed by the two individuals, the gun was pointed at him.”

    Police said they stopped Pitts as she was driving away from the Rodeway Inn and found Shockley hiding in the back of the vehicle.

  • Friday morning feel good story

    Chief Tango sends us our feel good story for this morning, this time from Kansas City where a man temptingly left his car running in his driveway to warm up before his drive. It proved too much of a temptation for four gentlemen;

    Police initially reported the incident as a home invasion, however after further investigation, police determined the man was shot when he confronted the would-be thieves.

    “[He] heard the car leaving, trying to leave the driveway,” Thomas Tomasic, KCK police officer said. “Suspects had gotten in and tried to steal the car. At that time the homeowner came out confronted the suspects. Suspect and homeowner got into a gunfight, shooting at each other.”

    Police said the homeowner had left the car engine running.

    The two suspects, described as black males, bailed from the four-door silver car in the middle of the street and took off running. Police tried to track them down with their canine unit but had no luck. They were later apprehended in a second-floor apartment at the Legend Oaks Apartment building.
