  • Friday morning feel good stories

I didn’t have time to find much worth posting, but there is this little gem.  I am telling you men,  you never know what that woman roaming around your compound has got on her mind.

An Arkansas woman was arrested Saturday after telling police she shot and killed her husband because he bought pornography, officials said.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release it received a call around 2:30 p.m. from 69-year-old Patricia Hill, who told dispatchers she just shot her 65-year-old husband, Frank.

When police arrived at the home, located about 36 miles south of Little Rock, they found Frank Hill dead in a shed on the property. Hill sustained two gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body, according to police.

“However, Mrs. Hill stated that she disagreed with her husband’s purchase of video pornography via the television guide, which she canceled upon discovering the purchase, but Mr. Hill managed to place a subsequent order,” Maj. Lafayette Woods, Jr. said. “Mrs. Hill stated that she entered the shed and asked her husband to leave but he refused.”

When her husband didn’t leave the shed, Hill told investigators she went back to their home and got a .22 caliber pistol.

“She went back to the shed a short time later, where she entered and shot her husband twice, striking him once in the leg and once in the head,” Woods said. “Immediately following the shooting, Mrs. Hill stated that she returned inside the residence, where she returned the weapon and called 911 to report the shooting.”

At this point, investigators do not believe the incident had anything to do with self-defense.

Watch yourselves this weekend gentlemen, its a rough cruel world out there.

  • Thursday morning feel good stories

    From Houston, TX

‘I warned him’: Woman, 68, shoots man doing private thing on bike who then chased her to doorstep. The sign on her door reportedly said, “Save the drama for your mama.” But when that message didn’t appear to get across to the man masturbating on her doorstep, the 68-year-old Houston woman warned that she would have to get her pistol.

The woman, identified only as “Granny Jean” in local news, was taking out her trash about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday when the man riding his bicycle while masturbating approached her, according to Houston Police Lt. Larry Crowson.

“She was alarmed by this,” Crowson told reporters at the scene, and the woman started back toward her house.

The man followed her — still masturbating. “Some guy pulled off his pants and pulled his pants open, playing with his thing,” she told KTRK, the local ABC affiliate, “and he ran up in my yard, and I told him to get away from my door, or I will shoot him.”

He didn’t stop approaching, Crowson said. Meanwhile, the woman’s 14-year-old granddaughter was inside.  So she did what she promised and ran to grab her gun.  The man kept “reaching for my door,” she told KTRK, “and he wouldn’t stop. So, I shot him through the door.”  Crowson said she struck the man with a single shot to the chest, near his shoulder.

The man then stumbled back through her front yard, wobbled onto his bicycle and attempted to pedal away, Crowson said. Then he collapsed on the sidewalk, where paramedics ultimately rushed him to the hospital.

He is expected to survive his injuries, Crowson said.

There are other stories…but this one can have all the attention it deserves.  Don’t mess with MaMa.

  • Monday morning feel good stories.

    From COHOES, NY

Police say a resident at a building on south Remsen street prevented a home invasion early Sunday morning.

Officials say a man entered the home and encountered the resident, who had a gun. They say the resident shot the home intruder, who later died from his injuries at the hospital. Police are not releasing the name or the whereabouts of the resident who opened fire on the man.

    From PROVO, Utah

A Provo man was arrested Saturday after allegedly pulling a hatchet out of the back of his van during an altercation, which led to him being held at gunpoint until police arrived.  According to a probable cause statement released by the Utah County Sheriff, the victim of the assault stated that 55-year-old Galen Williams pulled too far into a crosswalk with his van, and heated words were exchanged.

Williams allegedly pulled into a parking lot to confront the victim, but the victim’s father ran over and pushed the door to the car shut, the probable cause statement said. Williams then allegedly punched the victim’s father in the face and drove to a different part of the parking lot.  “There was video camera showing (Williams) had gotten out of his van and walked to the back of the van,” police said. “I could see (Williams) pulling out a hatchet out of the back of his van.”

The probable cause statement said that the victim’s father ran to his truck, and Williams got back into his van. The father allegedly took out a gun and held Williams at gunpoint until police arrived.

    From CHESNEE, SC

A would-be burglar ran off from his mark in the Upstate after two neighbors took aim at him.  Spartanburg County deputies say the attempted burglary happened around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday when a neighbor on Texas Avenue in Chesnee heard loud banging at a vacant residence nearby.  The witness told deputies he called the homeowner about what was happening, and both walked over to the property to investigate.

When they got there, they say they saw a man trying to get inside a boarded-up window, and commanded him to leave with his hands up.  Instead, the man ran toward Highway 11, and the two neighbors each fired one shot into the ground.  Nothing was stolen, but deputies say the suspect left behind a black bookbag and hat that were left behind.

    In other news…

    From Houston, TX

A pastor of a small church in Houston’s Sunnyside neighborhood was nearly shot when he confronted a burglar.
It all began around 6:30 a.m. Saturday when the burglary alarm went off at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church on Brinkley Street and Southview Street.
The pastor says he arrived at the church and surprised a man outside going through stolen stuff.  When the pastor flashed his own gun, the burglary suspect fired at him. During an exclusive interview with ABC13, the pastor says the burglar took off with the hard drive to his surveillance system and now has no video.

    Miller County, MO

Miller County’s prosecutor says a homeowner was justified when they shot an intruder last week.  The Miller County’s Sheriff’s Office said it happened July 23 at 116 Old Bagnell Road.  Investigators say the intruder entered the residence illegally and started a confrontation with the homeowner, who shot him in the arm.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Prosescutor Bin Winrey said information obtained during the investigation showed the homeowner acted within their rights.

    From GARDEN GROVE, CA

A Garden Grove homeowner armed with a handgun helped catch a suspected burglar who broke into his neighbor’s home – and may have shot a second accomplice who got away, police said.  He tried to detain the two men and his gun went off during the struggle. One suspect was tackled and held by the neighbors while another got away and drove off in a black Lincoln Navigator with paper plates.

    From Dayton, OH

A 23-year-old man who shot another man multiple times tonight told police he shot his would-be robber.  The 911 caller said the other man, who also was armed, fled in a blue Chevrolet Cruze, but not before he dropped his gun, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

The shooting victim, a 22-year-old man, was shot multiple times, Dayton police Lt. Steven Bauer said.  A worker said the incident happened at one of the gas pumps.

The gunshot victim was found inside his car a short distance away, on Home Avenue near U.S. 35 and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, the lieutenant said.

    From SELMA, AL

A woman is charged with shooting and killing her husband in Selma Tuesday morning.

It happened in the 2100 block of Church Street. Investigators say Carl Dixon was taking out the trash when a used condom fell out, and he presumed his estranged wife, Jackquelin Dixon, had been cheating on him. Investigators reported that after a confrontation Jackquelin Dixon fired several shots at Carl Dixon in the front yard.

He was struck once and died in the driveway.

Selma police charged Dixon with murder and placed her in the Dallas County jail on a $100,000 bond. Dixon has since posted her bond. District Attorney Michael Jackson says the case will be presented to a Dallas County grand jury in September.

So what have we learned here?  If you find evidence that your Spousal Unit had an accidental discharge,  hide the guns before you confront her.  The good news is, she is out on bail and probably lonely gents.  Have a nice day.

    Friday morning feelgood stories

    From Brooklyn, NY

An off-duty police officer shot a robber in the face in Brooklyn Thursday morning, said police.

A cop shot the man who tried to rob him near the corner of Livonia and New Jersey avenues at about 4:55 a.m., police said.

The would-be robber, a man in his 20s, was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in serious but stable condition and the police officer was treated for ringing in his ears at Methodist Hospital, said police.

I hate that ringing in the ears, but statistics have shown that criminals will stop what they are doing when shot in the face.

    From CRYSTAL CITY, MO

An 80-year old homeowner asked News 4 not to reveal his identity but he said he returned home recently to find clues that someone had been in and around his house. The first clue he saw was a garden hose stretched across the driveway and was turned on. His wife also suspected someone was inside the house. “She heard the door open, she said something but nobody answered. And when she came to come out the back door, the deadbolt lock was locked on the inside,” he said.

The man didn’t wait for police, he grabbed a handgun and started searching the house himself. When he looked in the basement he saw more clues someone had been in the home.”Well I had to reach in and turn a light on under the steps and that was a little bit concerning but I did it. When I stepped inside he was really on his knees. I guess when I turned that light on he was starting to get up,” said the homeowner. The man said he checked the burglar to make sure he wasn’t armed and then marched him outside to wait for police. The homeowner’s 53-year-old son was outside and on the phone with a police dispatcher.

Note to my sons: If I live to be 80 and a burglar is in my house…I better not find your ass sitting out in the yard on your damn phone.

    From Yukon, Oklahoma

Mr. Davenport directed the intruder to crawl to the front yard and started calling for help. Either he didn’t feel comfortable reaching for his cell phone, or (more likely) he didn’t happen to be surgically attached to it.

“He started pleading, ‘I just wanted some water, please sir, let me go, I’ll never come back,’” said Mr. Davenport. But he didn’t feel like playing catch-and-release. “I just got mad. You don’t get to come in my house.”

Fortunately, it wasn’t long before a jogger came across the situation and was able to help, using her telephone to call 9-1-1 and also (since it’s 2018) snap a glamour shot…err, gather photographic evidence of Mr. Davenport and the perp.

Why do they always get thirsty?

    From Indianapolis, IN

This here is from one of TSO’s neighbors.  Ya’ll be careful in dem neck of the woods.

Police in Indiana believe a pet pig might’ve thwarted would-be robbers from burglarizing a home in Indianapolis. The thieves broke into the home this week and “completely damaged [the back] door,” the homeowner, who wished to remain anonymous, told Fox 59.

The woman told the news station she adopted Dumplin from a rescue last year, calling him the “perfect animal.”

“The moment I saw him I knew he loved me instantly,” she said, encouraging others to adopt the “tons of pigs in shelters that don’t have homes.”
