    Gun Groups Offer Free Concealed-Carry Gun Training To School Employees

    So here is an extra feel good story for today from the Washington Times about a wife who came to her youth football coach husband’s aid when he was jumped by irate fathers in Kansas;

    A man watching the practice at Linwood Park, in south Wichita, confronted the coach about his son’s lack of playing time, lifting his shirt to display a handgun tucked into the waist of his pants, The Wichita Eagle reported. That’s when five or six other men, one with brass knuckles, began beating the 37-year-old coach, Lt. James Espinoza said.

    The coach’s wife pulled out a gun of her own and fired it into the air. The coach was able to break free from the attackers and went to his car for a second gun, which he pointed at various people in the crowd, Lt. Espinoza told the paper.

    The attackers had all fled the park by the time officers arrived, the officer said.

    What is the world coming to, by the way?

    Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories again this morning. The first is from North Carolina where a 20-year-old woman is facing conspiracy charges for dropping her boyfriend off at his crime scene;

    Person County Sheriff Dewey Jones said the homeowner, whom he did not name, discovered Jonathan Ellias Ziminack, 25, in the bedroom at about 5 a.m. wearing a mask “like a hoodie (but) only his eyes were showing.”

    The homeowner pulled a pistol from beside his bed and fired one shot at Ziminack, Jones said. The bullet hit the shotgun before striking Ziminack in the stomach, Jones said.

    Ziminack was transported by medical helicopter to Duke University Medical Center where he died on the way to surgery, Jones said.

    The next story comes from Nebraska;

    Police said the homeowner, Larry Rohatsch, told them he went to answer the front door after someone rang the doorbell and a man was standing inside the home. That’s when the homeowner opened fire, police said.

    A neighbor said the intruder kicked in the homeowner’s door.

    The suspect, identified as 48-year-old Darrell Miller, was taken to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center in extremely critical condition where died later the same day.

    The homeowner’s 4-year-old daughter was also home at the time of the shooting, police said.

    The last story comes from California;

    The homeowner told deputies that the burglars knocked on his front door and — when he didn’t answer — they went to the side of the house and removed a window screen.

    “The homeowner … fired a shot from a .45-caliber handgun at the subject that was coming through the window,” investigators said in a written statement. “The suspect was not hit and fled over a back wall into Golden Oak Park.”

    Deputies soon arrested three juveniles matching the burglars’ description.

    .45 caliber works every time whether you hit the target or not.

    Chief Tango sends us another feel good story. Today it’s from California;

    A suspected would-be robber was shot by his intended victim early Sunday morning in Desert Hot Springs, then was in a car crash in Palm Springs.

    Desert Hot Springs police were called to the 66300 block of Desert View at about 12:30 a.m. when gunfire was exchanged between the victim and would-be robbers at an apartment, police reported.

    At about 2 a.m., a Toyota Sequoia southbound on Indian Canyon Drive, carrying a man with a gunshot wound to his stomach, ran a red light at Vista Chino, slamming into a Nissan Altima, Palm Springs police spokesman Sgt. Harvey Reed said.

    Chief Tango sends us our Monday morning feel good story again this morning. This time it’s from Philadelphia;

    Police were called to Kim-Do Chinese American Take Out on Lehigh Avenue near 28th Street at 11:00 p.m. Saturday.

    When officers arrived, they found an intended robbery victim had wrestled the gun away from a suspect and shot him in the neck.

    The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

    Here’s another version of the same story;

    Authorities say an armed man was allegedly attempting to rob another customer when that customer pulled a gun and shot him in the neck.

    The alleged robber was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

    Either way, the criminal winds up in the hospital, which is the best possible outcome once he made the choice to rob someone.

    Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories again this morning. The first is from Michigan where a fellow broke into someone’s house and made himself a nest on the couch;

    “According to the homeowner, he tried to wake the suspect up, who then became belligerent and combative,” Reiss said. “A struggle ensued over the firearm with the owner discharging one round from the firearm.”

    The suspect was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics from Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services.

    Names are not being released at this time, but Reiss said the male suspect is believed to be in his early 20’s and is not a Greenville resident.

    Reiss said officers were in the area during the time of the shooting because they had been called by a neighbor in response to the same suspect.

    According to Reiss, the homeowner at 303 W. Grove St. stated that the suspect had also attempted to enter that residence.

    “We had been called a short time earlier about a man who had been running around nude in the area and we had officers around looking for him,” he said. “As officers were searching for the suspect, they heard the gunshot from within the home.”

    The next story comes from Texas;

    Police say a man had parked his white van at the gas pump and walked inside to store to pay for his gas. When he walked back out, he saw someone rummaging through his van.

    When the owner confronted the suspect, the burglar got back inside his SUV and tried to run the victim over in the parking lot. The victim then pulled out a handgun and shot the suspect at least twice, making him lose control of his SUV.

  • al-Shabaab Leader, Ahmed Abdi Godane, Gets His 72 Virgins

    Godane was killed earlier this week in a US airstrike.  US RPAs and manned aircraft took out an al-Shabaab camp in Somalia, sending Godane and 10 others to their eternal dirtnap.

    Godane and al-Shabaab were behind the mall attack in Kenya last September that killed 68 and wounded 200.

    May they each now enjoy the company of Shaytan for all eternity.  And may each of their 72 virgins look like this:

  • Saturday morning feel good story

    Saturday morning feel good story

    Police line

    This morning’s feel good story comes from Missouri where a homeowner stopped a criminal’s crime spree in Kansas City;

    Multiple law enforcement agencies were actively searching for [30-year-old Christopher Robinson] as a result of the crime spree, which began just before 5 a.m. Wednesday.

    The first car was stolen about 4:45 a.m. near Englewood Avenue and North Antioch Road. The entire spree lasted about an hour and ended near the 9100 block of North Garfield Avenue with the gunfire.

    After wrecking the first vehicle, Robinson broke into a home near Northeast 75th Street and North Euclid Avenue and stole another vehicle, which he drove through the garage door, police said.

    Police were able to locate the second stolen vehicle and began to chase the suspect but lost track of him.

    Authorities later located him driving a third stolen vehicle and chased him into another Northland neighborhood near Northeast 91st Terrace and North Brooklyn Avenue.

    He got one of the vehicles by robbing a pickup driver at gunpoint in a grocery store parking lot near 72nd Street and Northeast Antioch Road. That mangled vehicle was found with the engine still running in a Northland neighborhood.

    With police in pursuit, Robinson abandoned the third stolen vehicle, and confronted Vince Frew in his driveway as Frew was loading items he needed for his day into his work van.

    Robinson then attempted to steal his vehicle. Frew said the intruder wanted his keys but he didn’t have them. The two struggled momentarily.

    “He approached me, and I just kind of shoved him off of me,” he said. “He found something in my car and threw it at me.”

    As Robinson ran down the street, Frew called police.

    “After I got done with my 911 call, I came back outside, and probably within the next three to five minutes, I heard a gunshot come from down the street and then a second one right after that,” Frew said.

    Investigators said Robinson then broke into a house three doors down where the family was sleeping. As the homeowner took his weapon downstairs, his wife and 18-month-old child hid inside the residence.

    Friday morning feel good story

    Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories today. The first is from Alabama;

    Officials say that an unknown male knocked on the door, and when one of the victims opened the door the offender grabbed her and yelled.

    After grabbing the victim, the suspect fired a shot into the apartment.

    One of the occupants of the apartment shot the offender, who then fled on foot.

    The second story is from Phoenix and it happened in May, but the audio of her 9-1-1 call was released;

    “Somebody is trying to get into my house … and I have a gun in my hands. I’m terrified,” the unidentified woman told the dispatcher, her voice trembling.

    She hid in the bathroom.

    The burglar – identified by authorities as Michael Lewis, 20 – broke down her door.

    The woman, alone and afraid, didn’t think she had time to wait for police to arrive.

    The intruder found the woman’s hiding spot, officers said. Screams are heard on the 911 call, followed by a scuffle – and a gunshot.

    Lewis’ stunned reaction was captured on the 911 call, too.

    “Ow! (Expletive) What was that? What was that? What was that? (Expletive) did you do?” he is heard on the audio tape.
